“East to use medical softeware
Pros
The patient demographic system is straightforward for registering patients and tracking insurance and patient information.

Pros
The reporting capability was very comprehensive. Any time I needed a new feature, it was added promptly.
Cons
It was not easy to navigate this new system compared to the old DOS-based system.

“Very secure
Pros
I appreciate the great security for our patient referrals, which makes me trust the product.
Cons
I wish this software could be used on Google Chrome. Also, the referral expiration time can be too quick.

“Horrible product
Pros
There's really nothing about this product that I have ever found appealing.
Cons
There are many issues... the software platform is outdated, using Microsoft Remote Desktop with several login screens, and frequent lockouts. It reminds me of Windows 95. It is not easy to navigate. They were hacked last year, costing our practice productivity and causing major disruptions. There are errors in the exam section, with anatomical areas in the wrong place, and poor HPI autogeneration. The list goes on.

“Wish we had better experiences
Pros
Practice Manager is intuitive.
Cons
We get dropped from the service daily. We've had to update all computers to a new URL three times in the past six months. Signing in is difficult with three different logins for cloud, PM, and clinical. It's very expensive. We signed up in 2013 and had only a week of training.

“Can't get out of contract - like a medical Computing Roach Motel
Pros
I liked absolutely nothing about this experience. Nothing at all.
Cons
Service is slow. Despite upgrading and sending emails, faxes, and letters, they continue billing me and claim my single office has two accounts. I never set up a second one. I haven't used it in years, but they keep billing.

“Allscripts is user friendly and a great centralized program to save patient documents
Pros
Allscripts simplifies the referral process significantly. It enhances communication between doctors in the back and support staff up front.
Cons
I wish it didn't glitch or freeze as often. When it does, I have to sign out and back in to continue my work.

“Usable, but difficult to learn
Pros
Easy to access within various EMR systems, secure with multiple steps to ensure only the doctor prescribes, and quick in sending to the pharmacy.
Cons
Somewhat unreliable; occasionally, it doesn't send prescriptions when ordered, though this is rare. Takes some training to get used to.

“Allscripts EHR Review
Pros
Integrates all practice needs and various providers. Comprehensive record-keeping, clear documentation, and some dictation capabilities.
Cons
The cost per doctor isn't feasible for smaller practices. There's a significant learning curve and challenges with implementation.

“Allscripts PM review
Pros
The one aspect I appreciated about Allscripts PM was its speed. I could quickly access what I needed. Unlocking accounts or changing passwords was quick and easy.
Cons
I hate how outdated it is. In a tech-savvy world, Allscripts PM still looks like it's stuck in the Windows 98 era.

“Worst costumer service. Do no trust this company
Pros
Somewhat easy to use. I don't have anything good to say about this company. They lied when I renewed the contract. Have an attorney review your contract before signing any EMR agreement.
Cons
Terrible customer service. When you call, someone abroad answers, and when you place a ticket, nobody resolves the issues. They didn't provide training despite promising it in the contract. Very unprofessional. Check your statements as they often include unexplained extra charges. A nightmare experience.

“Allscripts EMR is a helpful and very knowledgeable system.
Pros
What I like most about this product is the variety of reports you can run to ensure accuracy through checks and balances.
Cons
You have to figure out different shortcuts on your own because they aren't covered in the training module.

“I Wish the PM Was More Seamless With the Clinical Module
Pros
Works well. Easy to schedule patients. Once you learn the complex system, you have a lot of control over the fine details.
Cons
I dislike how different it is from the EHR. The PM feels like it hasn't changed in 15 years, while the EHR has been updated. It also has the common crashing issues of Allscripts products. The setup is complex and requires IT expertise or a professional IT person to set up the scheduling templates.
