Doesn't integrate with Dentrix!

Pros

Initially, my staff found YAPI acceptable in the first year. There were many issues that were promised to be fixed soon or were "in beta testing."

Cons

When Leap came into play, everything took a nosedive. Dentrix stopped refreshing, and my IT guy and I wasted endless hours trying to fix it. Frustrated, we switched to Dental Intel to get back on track. I even asked for a partial refund after prepaying, but they flat-out refused. Their upgrades only made things worse, and honestly, I'm really upset about it.

We love Yapi

Pros

Installing and learning to use YAPI was smooth. We use it daily to confirm appointments and communicate with patients, significantly reducing our call volume. Our patients also appreciate the convenience!

Cons

Sometimes, the confirmation status just doesn't update on the schedule.

Pros

The dashboard initially caused skepticism among my team. They dreaded using YAPI, but now they can't imagine working without it! I have so many positive things to say about YAPI; feel free to call me to hear more.

Cons

Building forms and integrating Spanish forms has not worked as expected. There's no communication within the routing sheet for multi-users (give me a call, and I'll explain). Customizing the routing sheet is also a headache, and lost forms are a major issue, patients or guardians often have to redo them multiple times!

Love YAPI

Pros

YAPI offers numerous features, and we're learning something new every day. Our document team leader is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and helpful. Without their support, mastering YAPI would have been much harder.

Cons

Editing our forms is a complicated process. Without help from the documents team, we wouldn't know where to start to ensure they're consistent for online, in-office, and texting purposes. It would be great to have them all centralized in one place.

Communication is Key!

Pros

Being able to text and interact with patients quickly and easily is a huge benefit.

Cons

The process of setting up Yapi was overly complex, and the initial training provided was not very effective. Despite my familiarity with computers, I had to reach out to customer service multiple times. This platform was quite perplexing for me.

Yapi is Spectacular

Pros

YAPI serves as an excellent communication tool. We can text and email patients individually or as a group, ensuring both our administrative and clinical teams stay coordinated. It's invaluable for updating treatment plans and patient statuses.

Cons

So far, we haven't received any complaints. We haven't tried using the online scheduling feature yet, but we've heard it's easy to set up through the website administrator. Maybe we'll give it a shot in the future.

Best of the best management software

Pros

Online scheduling and intake forms have been a game-changer for us. We've noticed an increase in new patients scheduling online, saving us significant front desk time. YAPI Pay has also simplified payment collections and statement viewing.

Cons

We don't utilize the office communication and patient check-in/check-out feature.

Pros

YAPI integrated seamlessly with our practice management system (PMS). We now depend on YAPI features as much as, if not more than, our PMS.

Cons

I'm eager for YAPI Pay to expand. Bulk billing via YAPI Pay would be fantastic, and more functionality with interest lists would be really helpful.

Amazing customer service and even better product

Pros

We love how YAPI allows new patients to fill out forms on their own devices or on an iPad in our office. This convenience improves scheduling efficiency and reduces errors when entering data into Open Dental.

Cons

I'd like to add more appointment reminders and have save-the-dates go out sooner.

Pros

The most impactful feature for us has been the ability to text patients directly. It streamlines confirmations and reduces cancellations, and I appreciate being able to review entire conversations easily.

Cons

Yapi is highly customizable, which is great, but it did take more time than I expected. In the future, I'd like to manipulate my schedule and move appointments with the online Yapi Pop feature.
