“Power BI connection works perfectly

Pros

It keeps getting updated on a regular basis which shows the team is actively improving and refining the product over time. I've also found that the connection with Power BI works really well....data flows smoothly, visualizations update reliably and I can build rich, interactive dashboards without jumping through hoops. That kind of integration turns raw data into real insights effortlessly.

Cons

Only thing that feels lacking is the appearance. It could definitely use a more polished and attractive design.

Navigation has improved in my experience and I also find the help sections much more usable now. Updates like autofill have been a really nice addition.

Cons

It still takes too much drilling down to locate certain searches and reports. A few features feel buried deeper than they should be.

It handles data collection and brings operational functions together all the way through to financial reporting which makes the whole process feel much more connected for us.

That said our company still relies on other software and separate functions outside the platform, such as SDS, Minitab, BOL processing, fixed assets and others.

There are a lot of useful functions built in and I find the customer screen is an excellent feature. Being able to schedule pricing changes ahead of time is also something I really appreciate.

Entering orders feels pretty slow and it's frustrating that printing or emailing a quote requires opening an entirely separate screen.

Even though it's a complex system the tool feels fairly simple and usually lets me locate what I need without too much delay.

Setting up customers is still a very manual process and automating that would make a big difference. Handling remarks can also be difficult especially when the notes are no longer up to date.

The convenience and efficiency really stand out in my experience. It feels like the team is there to support us in every way, not just to hear the positives but also to step in and address the tougher issues too.

Compared with our old AS400 system, I find this one much cleaner and it makes it a lot simpler to locate what we need. It also gives me more flexibility to go back and make changes on the AR side and the reports we're able to pull from the system have been really useful.

We still run into some issues in certain areas where packing slips and invoice amounts don't match because of backorder-related problems.

Most of the seminars were highly informative in my experience and I found the workshops turned out to be a really valuable resource.

There wasn't quite enough time spent on those seminars that were personally the most interesting to me.

Having this available has been really interesting for me. I enjoy learning more about the system and getting direct, hands-on help with the things I needed support with at the office especially since trying to handle it over email is so difficult.

There isn't quite enough interaction for me. I prefer actually working through tasks which is why the computer-based workshops are the most useful part for me.

Customer service has been excellent for us and I find the technical team is always helpful, knowledgeable and full of useful insight.

The program still has a few bugs to sort out but the team works closely with our company to customize the product around our specific requirements.

Getting around the system and arranging the screens to fit the way I need to see things is very easy. I also find the help tab really useful whenever support or guidance is needed.

We do run into frequent issues with the system logging us out but aside from that, it's a great system to work with.

There's honestly very little to complain about. The team is consistently helpful when something needs to be resolved or reviewed, every support ticket feels like it matters and it's clear that feedback is actually being taken on board.

Using it is easy for me and generating reports for financial purposes works really well.

At times when selecting an option from different modules, the tabs freeze and won't open again until the session is closed. It would be much better if tabs from multiple modules could stay open at the same time for financial comparisons.

The part I appreciate most is the support team. I find they're there whenever needed and are also very accessible during the annual conference.

Connecting it with third-party applications in a more modern way is still challenging. I'm hoping the public API portal is released soon.

Pros

Our company has been very happy with the system especially with the ability to submit requests for system changes. Certain areas, like reporting, give us the flexibility to adjust report parameters or even create entirely new reports through Crystal Reports.

Cons

The extra cost for custom changes can be a downside even when those improvements would make the system better overall though that's understandable considering the time and effort some changes require. On the plus side, when those custom updates are useful for other companies too, they can end up being released across the entire network.

“Strong finance and inventory tool

Pros

After needing a better way to manage both our finances and inventory than what we used before, I've found this system has turned out to be exactly what we were looking for. It gives us the tracking we needed and handles those areas much better than our previous setup.

Cons

Getting reports to print exactly the way I want is a bit tough. I understand that once the report is set up properly, it can be saved and reused later but reaching that point can sometimes be frustrating when trying to make it display the right information.

The portals and the barcoding in WMS have been really valuable in our experience and I've noticed the product keeps progressing with new features on a regular basis.

There have been some development-related issues and we're still using V6 for certain modules.

Right out of the box, I've found this ERP system covers pretty much everything needed. The customization options are a big advantage as well and I've had excellent customer support throughout.

The reporting tools could definitely be more customizable. I'd like to be able to work with and adjust the data I enter more freely without having to reach out to support just to create custom reports. It would also be better if additional automation options were available without such a high extra cost.

There's a huge range of modules available so in our case there's really very little need to rely on third-party software.

One downside is that some of the interfaces don't feel very simple.

Platform keeps getting more modern and user-friendly in my view. It already offers a lot of features and capabilities and I can see even more are on the way soon.

No system is perfect and this one has its limitations too but most of them can be worked around. In many cases, internal processes need to adapt to the system instead of expecting the system to be reshaped for every user or company. When something isn't available out of the box, changes can still be made to meet the need.

We've been using it for a long time and I've experienced both highs and lows along the way but in the end it has continued to back us up.

Cons

Support has been the weakest part for both our company and our users. As of the time I'm writing this, that team is being reorganized and hopefully that will improve at least some of the problems.

One feature that's been especially valuable for us is the data audit trail. I've also found the integration with other tools has worked really well especially with its CRM.

The pricing setup feels a bit clunky. Some of that comes from how our company uses the pricing structure but it still makes it difficult to see all pricing in one place regardless of the type. Having separate price books makes pulling pricing together a little tough. The quoting system also feels slightly awkward. Again, part of that is tied to how we use the pricing feature but I still think there's room to improve it.

Being purpose-built for chemical distributors and manufacturers is a huge advantage in our case. I find the software not only helps us run the business effectively but it also supports us in staying compliant with the relevant government regulations.

Cons

One thing that would improve it is giving existing customers a chance to provide feedback or suggestions on the screen layouts in the .NET version. A few of the screens are hard to navigate, scroll through and view all of the needed information at once.

“Simple rollout

Pros

Accounting module has been working really well for us and I've also found the manufacturing, inventory and order entry modules have performed nicely. On top of that, I experienced the implementation process as fairly simple and quite smooth.

Cons

Where this software falls short is in production planning which still is not developed enough to be usable for our needs. The preventive maintenance module is also extremely basic and the standard system reports are not very user-friendly, with output that still lacks proper validation for accuracy and consistency.

“vb.net upgrades have been fantastic

Pros

This latest VB.Net version has come a long way over the years and has made my work much more efficient. Everything I need is right at my fingertips and I find the interface very simple to use. The Help Menu and University resources are both excellent and have been incredibly useful for our teams.

Cons

One downside is that if you are not using SQL, the system can slow down and throw errors when there is a large amount of historical data.

Right from the start I found this software very user-friendly and simple to work with. To some extent, it has that out-of-the-box feel which makes it approachable and convenient to use.

I'd rearrange some of the modules a bit differently and make editing faster in certain areas.

Running both the manufacturing and distribution sides of our business is much easier for us with this system because it covers everything we need in one place. It handles both parts of our operation really well which has made it a strong fit for how our company works.

At this point we are still not taking full advantage of everything the software offers although we definitely plan to implement more of the optional features later on. The only thing holding us back right now is the added cost of those extra features.

For me it is easy to use and using it day to day doesn't take much effort. New features are also released to customers regularly without any added cost which is a nice bonus.

Cons

Customer support is very helpful but it's only available during Eastern Time business hours. The inventory management features also aren't especially simple so there can be a bit of a learning curve before they feel comfortable to use.

For more than 16 years, the team behind it has supported TLC in running our business and the level of integration we've built with the system has been essential to our ongoing improvement and long-term growth. We usually have one or two initiatives in progress with it because we're always looking for ways to get even more value out of the platform than we already do. Our next planned step is the CRM and we're nearly at the point of moving ahead with that project.

The inventory management features are there but they're not fully simple or as automated as they could be.

“Licensing changes outweigh the coverage

Pros

For a small to mid-sized company, the overall software package is fairly great. It covers roughly 80% of our daily manufacturing work. We can manage the full process in one system, from formulation through final invoicing and even shipping. It doesn't handle every part especially well but the fact is that all of it can be done within the software.

Cons

The biggest issue has been the lack of updates to the underlying database which hasn't been refreshed in about 10 years, not even with a patch. More recently though, the more serious problem is that they've decided on their own that older licensing agreements no longer count because of features they say have been added over time and they've pushed customers onto a new licensing model. That has meant reducing user licenses from 400 down to 20 equivalent new licenses, while also doubling or even tripling the price of those new licenses. Supposedly this is meant to support new products that still haven't been released even though they were expected a year ago. If you want a vendor that respects signed agreements, I'd strongly suggest looking at a different product.

I've found that customer service team is patient and takes the time to address every concern. Their technical support staff also knows the product and its features extremely well which makes installation and implementation much easier to handle properly.

Cons

I wouldn't really consider this a downside but since we're planning to buy a new server, we're hoping the cost will be lower instead of paying the same amount as we did on our last purchase.

“chemical accounting done right

Pros

It covers our chemical accounting needs from end to end in our experience. Since the software is built specifically for the chemical industry, we didn't have to spend much time on customization. Most of the accounting features we were looking for were already included. One feature I really appreciate is the Batch Manufacturing module along with the Quality Control tools which helped us get rid of handwritten QC manufacturing logs.

Honestly there isn't anything I dislike about this software. It has easily been the best software purchase we've ever made.

Whenever we need help, I've noticed the support team gets back to us quickly and consistently provides useful, knowledgeable assistance. We don't have to contact them often but when we do, they're always reliable and helpful.

Cons

We'll need to purchase a new server this year so I'd really like to see faster investment in a cloud-hosted version of the product to help lower support-related costs.

At least the name is cute in my view. The price is low but it also feels like you get even less than what you paid for.

Cons

Purchase orders, PO receipts, supplier invoices, aged payables, selecting invoices to pay, printing checks and customer service are all disappointing.
