“Pretty easy to set up”

Pros

The move from our on-premise 10.2.300 setup was fairly easy which made the transition a lot more manageable.

Cons

A downside is that some tools our IT team used to handle directly now require help from Customer Support and that has added extra delays.

“an incomplete tool”

Pros

There's definitely potential for this to become a really strong product.

Cons

Right now it still feels unfinished and since switching to the new interface, we have had to submit a lot of help tickets.

“Simple and easy to learn”

Pros

It was very user friendly. As the software is simple to use and it didn't take long to learn how its features and capabilities work.

Cons

The downside was thatthe company'ssupport and sales teams were not very helpful.

“Excel friendly accounting insights”

Pros

Working with Excel is a big plus here. I can pull accounting information out quickly and manipulate the data for financial analysis without much hassle. The dashboards and menu layout also make sense so it's easy to understand where things are and how to navigate the system.

Cons

I feel like setting up multiple related companies could be more easy.

“worth the price”

Pros

After five years of using it in a cloud setup I have seen several updates to the software that are definitely worth mentioning. Like many vendors it has started leaning into AI to improve efficiency around repetitive work, data analysis and more. Their Prism AI can now support the RFQ process, compare imported documents and even assist with building customizations in Application Studio.

Cons

Well I would still like to see them introduce a payroll solution for the Canadian market and it would also be helpful if they offered better support for clients dealing with very complex quoting scenarios.

“Custom workflows and KPI visibility win”

Pros

Its process flowcharts were a helpful way to guide users through a series of tasks. Those tasks can still be completed without the flowcharts but having them definitely added value. Also I appreciated the dashboard concept for showing KPIs and the drill-down capability from a KPI straight to the underlying transactions was especially impressive. On top of that the ERP system offered a strong level of customization.

Cons

The dashboard feature itself felt quite limited. Getting everything set up at the beginning was very challenging like almost impossible without IT support and the interface was not especially user friendly. It was also frustrating to have to exit back to the Main Menu just to watch a training lesson. It would be far more useful if relevant training videos were built directly into the task stream for the specific step being performed.

“Powers daily business operations”

Pros

Getting started with it didn't take long and the system is fairly easy to learn and use. Our entire organization depends on it for order entry as well as accounting and financial management. It's the primary ERP platform we work in and we're using it for about 90% of our day to day operations.

Cons

Since we runthe softwareon-premise, performance problems come up pretty often. Communication between the application server and the database server tends to run into issues from time to time and we usually end up rebooting the systems just to get everything working again.

“Great for multi-location tracking”

Pros

Epicor came with a wide range of features that helped us stay on top of inventory and financial management across different parts of our business, from retail gas stations to B2B fuel deliveries nationwide.

Cons

Navigation was harder than it should have been because the interface was not very user friendly. A lot of things were buried in menus and some options had very similar labels which made them easy to mix up. One helpful part was being able to build custom menus so frequently used items were easier to access but when it was time to hand those lists off to a new team member, you had to remember where each item originally lived which was frustrating.

“Easy workflow, CAD integration”

Pros

The interface is very user friendly and the workflow for creating and ordering parts works really well. Keeping track of parts and orders is simple and bringing CAD-created parts into the system is especially helpful since it can be done without any manual data entry.

Cons

A few features are tucked away and harder to locate than others. There are also some workflows that look a bit confusing although that may be more related to how our accounting and IT teams originally configured the system during implementation.

“Adaptable for larger companies”

Pros

After five years with this software, I have really learned how to use it the right way. I appreciated its overall approach, even though it meant adapting to new benchmarks at first which is honestly part of moving to a new system. It's a very versatile product and I can see it being an even better fit for a larger company than the one I was in. I used it while working as part of a team, before switching to freelance work after COVID-19.

Cons

It gave me the ability to customize and improve how I manage my contacts which was definitely useful. That said I couldn't make changes very easily because I hadn't completed the additional training module. It also has a lot of security measures in place and because of that some settings or actions were simply impossible for me to cancel or modify.

“Light learning curve for developers”

Pros

It was up and running with ease and if your team already works with .NET, the learning curve feels fairly light. That also makes it much easier to customize the modules internally without having to rely too much on outside help.

Cons

The CRM side still falls short and the web version has quite a few issues when you stack it up against other competing products.

“good one!”

Pros

It is fairly simple to navigate and use.

Cons

The biggest frustration is how painfully slow it is. We're getting ready to move to E10 in August and after being involved with the testing team, I can already tell it's dramatically faster. Definitely looking forward to the upgrade.

“stand out solution!”

Pros

One thing that really stands out about this tool is how broadly it can be used across sales processes throughout the entire lifecycle in any business project where it is implemented. Another big advantage of this ERP is its strong integration with Microsoft tools along with the ability to monitor and manage tasks from mobile devices which makes it much more practical to carry out work strategies in a simple and effective way.

Cons

Even with all the strong points this ERP offers, the way the notification feature works when a sales management issue comes up could be much better. I believe those alerts should be immediate so the problem can be addressed right away.

“costly and overly complicated”

Pros

Well this tool looks like a complete system because of the number of modules it offers but getting the specific modules you actually need requires a major investment. I would not recommend it.

Cons

It is far too complicated, not user friendly at all and the information you look up is presented in a disorganized way. The documentation is insufficient and in many cases basically nonexistent. We also ran into problems twice with the implementer because they lacked knowledge ofthe systemin the production area. Support is slow and sometimes useless since they just redirect you back to the implementer. On top of that the implementation cost is very high.

Computer Software, 101-500 employees

4.0

“Powerful features for big firms”

Pros

Packed with a wide range of features, this software works really well for accounting in a large company. It handles data quickly and efficiently and the customization options make it more practical to use. On top of that the support team has been very reliable as they respond fast and are usually quite efficient when help is needed.

Cons

The interface seems outdated and isn't very user friendly so getting comfortable with the system takes time. There's definitely a steep learning curve overall. It's also fairly expensive even if the extensive feature set helps justify the cost a bit.

Logistics and Supply Chain, 101-500 employees

1.0

“very very very slow”

Pros

The only upside I can point to is that it's newer than the 30-year-old ERP system we had before and even that barely looks like a real advantage.

Cons

This software seems like it was built without any real thought for the people who actually have to use it every day. It becomes extremely difficult the moment your job involves anything beyond simply looking up information and clicking a button. Adding a large batch of new records into a table is unbelievably tedious and tasks that used to take seconds now drag on for minutes. I am constantly forced to move my hands back and forth between the keyboard and mouse just to get basic work done such as click, type, click again, type again. There are countless little frustrations throughout the system and many of them seem like they could have been avoided with programming that showed even a basic understanding of how end users actually work.

5.0

“Powerful ERP with broad capabilities”

Pros

This ERP does a really good job of adjusting to the needs of different kinds of businesses. Its biggest strength is how well it manages accounting and financial operations across an organization, while also offering amazing tools for inventory control, pre-production material planning, manufacturing execution and human capital management. It covers pretty much everything a company needs and the range of training options available is another valuable advantage.

Cons

Its interface could definitely use more refinement because it seems somewhat confusing and improving that would make the overall user experience much better. Pricing is also on the high side especially the enterprise-tier plans which feel overly expensive. On top of that the CRM features are limited, the mobile apps still feel incomplete and the overall support is lacking particularly when it comes to phone support.

“expensive support and unfair charges”

Pros

I honestly don't have any positive points to mention about this software or the company. If your business is thinking about implementing it, be very careful. Their technical support never really provides real solutions as they just keep applying fixes and working through trial and error. On top of that they constantly send you to their partners and you end up paying twice.

Cons

If you don't use their technical support, they still want to charge you for the years you didn't even need it. That feels like a robbery and an abusive practice fromthis company.
