One thing that really stands out is how clean the interface feels, without a lot of extra information getting in the way or causing confusion. I also like how well everything links across multiple screens. It makes moving through the system feel cohesive and well connected.

I did run into a few issues when chaining too many job manager. Such as job tracker instances together although there was a simple workaround.

The interface is simple and I really like that configuration happens right inside the system instead of sending you to a separate page.

Because it's so customizable, getting people trained or establishing standard company procedures can be challenging since everyone may be working with different settings.

It is user friendly and the customizable dashboards along with the reporting features are especially useful.

The performance has been amazing and the level of customization is a big plus. Analytics is another strong area and adds a lot of value.

The help system could be much clearer about intent, required background knowledge and what each option actually does or what result to expect after choosing it. User identities and entitlements also feel spread out across too many different apps. On top of that some subsystem features are fragmented and layered in a hierarchy but the full structure is not always visible when trying to configure or update something at different levels.

Using it day to day has been easy thanks to the simple workflow design and overall user friendly feel. Another big plus is the wide range of integrations it supports which makes it fit well with other tools we use.

Getting support has been frustrating to be honest. They often aren't very helpful and it seems like the customer has to do a lot of the heavy lifting. Since we're on the cloud version, performance can also be a bit slow at times.

Nothing major but everything customized exactly the way you want does take time but it's definitely worth the effort.

The workflows are really helpful for handling the processes involved in manufactured parts.

One issue is that the feature explanations in the system feel too thin. A lot of the applications are open to interpretation and there is not always a clearly defined way to do things. That flexibility can be useful but it can also create confusion. The user experience would be better if the software included more step by step examples for setting up and using the different applications.

Its flexibility is a big plus for us since it lets us automate and fine-tune workflows across every area of the business. That level of customization makes the system extremely valuable in our day to day operations.

The biggest downside has been the overall speed although that seems more tied to our on-premise 10.2.700 setup and a few outdated or inefficient BPMs than to the application itself.

The system is very simple and using it day to day has been simple. Whenever I need assistance with something, the issue gets handled quickly without any hassle.

Moving to Epicor Kinetic has helped make our accounting processes more efficient. Even while I am still transitioning over, it already seems fairly easy to work with. Another plus is that it's cloud based which adds a lot of convenience.

The setup is a bit different from what I was used to so it takes some extra time to learn and get comfortable with.

Having the RMA workflow tied into the quality side really helps keep that process moving efficiently. On the finance end it does a good job of keeping accounting records organized and accurate. I also like having everything stored in one central place since there's no need to track down where different data lives and it's convenient working from a single platform where everything is connected.

I am still getting used to the screen layouts in the newer view compared with classic and print preview on certain screens can be difficult sometimes.

Pros

Using Epicor Kinetic across a multi company, multi site setup has been a big advantage for us. The system is user friendly and it helps keep processes and data entry consistent from one location to another. Having everything in a single platform makes it much easier to review KPIs across all sites and gives us the visibility we need to keep the business progressing.

Cons

One challenge for us is that we have quite a few customizations so upgrades can take a lot of time and effort. Because of that we often end up falling behind on major updates.

Pros

One thing I really like about ITS is how capable it is and how it lets us grow into the system instead of eventually outgrowing it. Being able to build our own dashboards is a big plus and we have also been able to make very effective use of BAQs.

A few parts of our production process don't line up with the way ITS is originally designed so we have had to rely on quite a few customizations. Because of that the initial setup was more difficult than expected mainly due to all the adjustments needed to make it fit our business.

The core product includes just about everything a business would need.

One downside is the lack of thorough QC and regression testing before updates and new releases.

Accessing certain programs is very easy and getting around within the workbenches seems much more user friendly.

A few areas still feel overloaded with data and many reports come out looking scattered and disorganized when they're run.

Getting started as a new user was pretty easy and it didn't take long to learn the basics.

The customization options are a big plus because the default fields don't always fit the way I work. Being able to tailor things more specifically helps cut out the extra noise which is especially valuable in the constantly changing aerospace manufacturing environment.
