“powerful workflow for distribution”
Pros
Highly customizable and fairly simple to work with, this product really extends GP and makes it a much stronger business tool. The workflow functionality is easily the standout feature and it's incredibly powerful for any distribution company.
Cons
Even though it has improved a lot over the years, the biggest ongoing issue with it has been the steady introduction of bugs in new releases. We end up having to test updates extensively and figure out what breaks before we can roll them out.

“Easy to get the hang of”
Pros
The interface feels modern and customizable and employees can quickly understand it and adjust it to fit the way they work.
Cons
A few of the error messages aren't very clear and adding a workflow visualizer would make the product even better.

“user-friendly software”
Pros
Getting around the system is pretty simple and there are plenty of customization options along with useful user-defined fields.
Cons
Having more dashboard templates available would be nice. Since our team works closely with sales reps, it would be really useful to have built-in templates and reports we could choose from instead of starting from scratch. Another issue is that after major upgrades some things tend to break and we end up having to fix them again. SalesPad could really improve by keeping better notes on each customer and any special setup they have in place. Right now, whenever something needs to be repaired, we have to begin all over again and dig through our own notes, when that information should really already be tracked in SalesPad.

“Well-organized interface”
Pros
The interface is simple and very well-organized. Being able to add plenty of custom fields and build quick reports is a really useful feature.
Cons
Since we're tied into GP, the integration with our EDI software feels fairly limited. We'd really like a simpler way to connect our EDI system with SalesPad. There are some fields customers complete that don't transfer over easily when we export data from the EDI software into SalesPad and that ends up making invoicing certain orders more difficult.

“Simple to pick up”
Pros
The software is very user-friendly and getting new staff trained on it doesn't take much time at all.
Cons
We do run into faults with the system and it hasn't always saved all of our settings when logging in and out. We also wish there was an option to attach documents to POs and order confirmations.

“integrates well with our accounting software”
Pros
Great how nicely it connects with our accounting software so reviewing customer figures and item details on the desktop version is pretty simple.
Cons
The mobile app is not very user-friendly and adding prospects there feels complex.

“Clean interface, flexible customizations”
Pros
The interface is very tidy which makes the software pleasant to work with. Anything that wasn't available out of the box, we were able to handle through SalesPad customizations.
Cons
One thing that's missing is a way to save the current user-defined column band settings so if they get changed by accident from a stray keystroke or mouse movement, they can't be restored.

“customizable software”
Pros
It works reliably with the Microsoft GP Windows-based GUP and gives us plenty of room to customize it.
Cons
adding the specific features we need through customization is very expensive, even though those improvements would make the software much better overall.

“Helped us grow our business”
Pros
It has let us grow the business without having to add more staff. The workflow has been fantastic and it's very simple to use and to train new employees on. It's also really flexible. We have several different pricing requirements and Salespad manages all of them well.
Cons
I'd like to see more flexibility and overall power in the reporting.

“Pleased with the performance”
Pros
This tool gave us the flexibility to set up the user-defined fields we needed, apply custom business rules and still keep all of our data inside GP. We even had some custom development done and it was handled quickly and professionally. I'm very pleased with Salespad.
Cons
It still relies on GP behind the scenes which is both a benefit and a drawback. Having a fully integrated system is valuable but some GP limitations still carry over and can't be fixed within Salespad, even though Salespad does make a lot of things easier.

“impressive functionality”
Pros
The functionality here is really strong especially when it comes to customization. We're able to run C# scripts before and after workflows which gives us a lot of flexibility in how we handle processes. It also lets you use SQL queries between workflows to route orders into different queues which has been very useful for us. On top of that, the layout can be customized and you can add user-defined fields and we've taken advantage of that to capture more information than what Salespad provides by default.
Cons
Support responsiveness could be better. At times it can take a couple of days to hear back and getting someone on the phone is pretty rare. There's also a bit of a learning curve at the beginning. Salespad can feel overwhelming when you first start using it and it takes some time to get comfortable with the more advanced features like building workflows and writing C# scripts.

“Great for custom tracking and reporting”
Pros
Compared with Microsoft GP, the interface feels much more user-friendly for users who are entering data. It also has strong support for adding user-defined fields which helps a lot with custom tracking and reporting. New employees are usually able to pick it up quickly without a long learning process.
Cons
Pulling together certain company-specific reports can be difficult at times. While it is definitely helpful that there are add-on features available from other vendors, troubleshooting can get frustrating when both companies say the problem is on the other side.

“Appreciate the flexibility”
Pros
I really appreciate how much flexibility it gives the end user and in the newer versions, it's even better because you can see everything you need all in one place.

“Well laid out”
Pros
Compared with standard GP, this puts most of the windows into a much more user-friendly layout. Rather than opening several different screens to complete a task, a lot of the time everything can be handled in one place. Another big plus is the user fields, along with how simple they are to add and report on.
Cons
The only thing that really comes to mind is needing a workflow or monitoring tool for the Purchasing side.

“packed with features”
Pros
It really stands out for its interface. It takes the solid Dynamics GP foundation and adds a layout that feels user-friendly to move through, packed with extra functionality and still comes at a price that makes it accessible for a wide range of businesses.
Cons
Honestly there is not much to criticize about SalesPad Desktop but if I had to mention a couple of things, it would be how quickly the number of open tabs can become overwhelming. Since the system includes so many features, it can also feel a bit confusing at times so you need to put thought into security and setup to make sure users only see what they need close at hand.

“adaptable tools”
Pros
It gives us a lot of flexibility and room to customize the system to fit how we work. One feature I especially appreciate is the audit trail because it lets us track exactly who made changes on orders which is extremely useful when we need to troubleshoot order issues.
Cons
Salespad can do a lot and that can feel a little overwhelming for someone who is just getting started. The interface is more user-friendly than some of the other software we use to handle orders, POs, receipts and invoices but it still has room for improvement to make things a bit more user-friendly for new users.

“Makes transactions simpler to handle”
Pros
This turns GP into a much more user-friendly and accessible system. Having all the information I need in one window is a big improvement and it makes complicated transactions a lot simpler to handle.
