“useful b2b portal for restaurants”
Pros
The B2B portal has been really valuable for us and it was the biggest reason we decided to go with Unleashed for our multi-location restaurant business.
Cons
Barcode scanning feels underdeveloped. For an inventory management system, I expected a much better scanning feature to make inventory control more efficient.

“Awesome for inventory management”
Pros
Right away, the inventory management feels solid especially with real-time updates that help keep everything accurate. The interface is simple and organized well so it doesn't take much effort to get comfortable with it. The reporting tools are also excellent and give useful insights for making better data-driven decisions.
Cons
The pricing may be a bit hard to justify for smaller businesses and there are occasional syncing problems when working with third-party integrations.

“Shopify and Xero stay aligned”
Pros
It keeps everything synced between my Shopify store and Xero which means stock levels stay accurate all the time-no more overstocking or running out unexpectedly-and the accounts are kept current across both sides of the business.

“A bit too costly”
Pros
We've been using it since the early days, not long after it launched. It's dependable and does the job but getting the most out of it takes a significant amount of time because there are so many features to learn. That can be a real challenge for a small business. It also needs to be set up properly from the beginning because if the setup is wrong, it can create major problems later on such as incorrect data being pushed through to Xero.
Cons
It is expensive. Their customer support has generally been acceptable, usually through submitting an online inquiry but recently they introduced a new premium support option that was automatically activated unless you opted out, with a three-month free trial. As far as we could tell, we got a single email about it and no reminder to cancel. The frustrating part was that the extra features were never actually added to our profile so we didn't even know what we were supposedly getting. We then discovered we had started paying $79 per month for a premium customer service package, including live chat and phone support, that we never received and couldn't even use. Trying to sort it out with them and have a reasonable discussion felt like dealing with a robot. After a long chain of emails, they offered only a very small credit as a goodwill gesture. The way they rolled out this new opt-out service felt misleading, to put it mildly. It came across as prioritizing revenue over customer service. I don't usually leave reviews but in this case I felt it was worth warning other potential customers.

“refund denied”
Pros
Being cloud-based means you can log in from anywhere but sadly that doesn't make it useful.
Cons
The whole setup feels built to get you subscribed as fast as possible and then once you realize the product isn't as advertised and adds no value to your business, they won't give you any refund at all. From a functionality standpoint, I'd strongly suggest any potential customer take a very careful look at the "search" feature when entering orders in Unleashed. You have to type the product name exactly as it appears, with no mistakes, even down to the order of the words. Since our catalog has at least 45,000 SKUs and is only going to grow, that was completely unworkable for us.

“Handy integrations with Salesforce and Xero”
Pros
Having a true SaaS platform was essential for us and it ticked that box straight away. The native integrations with Salesforce and Xero were just as important so that was another big plus. The system is user-friendly to use and has a clean, appealing interface. It's also clear they keep developing and refining the product. Now that Access Group has acquired it, I'm curious to see how that turns out since it could go either way. The API is solid and the API sandbox site along with the simple-to-set-up sandbox environment has been incredibly useful and feels fairly unique from what I've seen.
Cons
While the API is solid overall, it's still missing a few things that seem like obvious features to include. There are also parts of the software that don't feel completely thought through. For example, you can create multiple attribute sets but only one can actually be used per product. If you attempt to apply two attribute sets to the same product, it wipes the existing data from the other set. Overall the issues are fairly minor and mostly come across like the growing pains of a relatively young company expanding quickly.

“promising start with solid support”
Pros
Just getting started with the software, I'm already impressed by how much it can do. Joining a company where five users were already set up made the system a bit difficult to dig into at first but with help from their team, I've been able to get it working for both me and my role. The tutorials have been really useful as well and they're easy to find on the website. I'm still learning more about Unleashed every day and discovering what it's capable of.
Cons
the Vision setting doesn't seem to read inventory very well. It can show sales figures but it doesn't display inventory by unit. I'm still working my way through everything though and I'm hopeful that in six months I'll be using the software to its full potential. I also need more help with forecasting so that may require an add-on package which could end up being a downside from a cost perspective but I haven't reached that point yet.

Pros
It is something I rely on every single day and it plays a big part in helping me handle most areas of my job. Without it, getting through my workload would be much harder. Their customer service team has been excellent as well and they have repeatedly gone above and beyond whenever we've brought them a particularly tricky question. “centralized data that powers growth”
Pros
After juggling several separate spreadsheets, I was genuinely excited by the idea that it could bring all of our analytical data into one connected, central place. The system is incredibly capable. Now that we are up and running, we really value that we can connect Production, Purchasing and Sales in the same platform, access accurate and up-to-date information in one place and feel much more confident about growth as we expand across different channels while still having a real-time view of available stock and the parts needed for assembled products so inventory stays covered. We also rely on special reports such as price margin reporting to spot where we may have overlooked a product or where a line is not generating enough profit. On top of that, the added functionality through integrations has been really useful.
Cons
Getting fully comfortable with it took a bit of time. Our business is quite complex, with many channels and different ways we assemble products so that definitely added to the learning curve. Building the BOMs also took me a while although again that was partly because our setup is not simple. There were also times when it was difficult to find answers using the available resources and occasionally support did not resolve an issue as quickly as I needed. That said the team generally went above and beyond which I really appreciated. One suggestion for their team would be to speak with customers like me afterward to better shape the answers in the FAQs and knowledge base, not just broad responses but also the detailed, nitty-gritty explanations I ended up needing to ask someone about directly. I would always spend a lot of time researching the knowledge base before emailing support but I still could not find the specific answers I needed. A more searchable FAQ database with keywords around those tricky issues that other users have probably run into would make things much easier to access and cut down the time spent contacting support. For example, I spent ages trying to understand why my initial stocktake would not show available stock and I could not find anything explaining that I should not do a stocktake on supplier stock that is auto-disassembled but instead should enter the quantities of the raw stock broken up into BOMs. It would be really helpful to have that kind of detail clearly covered in the knowledge base.

“Outstanding product”
Pros
Unleashed, along with the team behind it, has been incredible. The product stays focused on what matters and really gets the fundamentals right, dependable inventory management, an interface that is simple to use and overall fast, responsive performance. We use quotes, sales orders, purchase orders and reports without any hassle. You can tell a lot of thought has gone into every area of the software and it has genuinely helped guide us as an electronics manufacturer while scaling up. Having perpetual inventory has completely changed the way we handle our accounts and helped us make better decisions around pricing and margins. The option to add serial numbers, plus the Xero integration with Unleashed, has been a big advantage.
Cons
One thing that would be helpful is the ability to merge duplicate customer records. It would also be useful to split larger customers such as a care home group with 100+ homes, into subdivisions under one main account although that may be moving a bit beyond the core inventory management purpose of the system. Right now, we simply choose the correct delivery address from the dropdown which works well enough but it would be even better if we could add notes to a specific site, like a technical note.

“Well-trained support team”
Pros
A big plus for me has been the support and knowledgebase which make it much easier to get answers when needed. The integration options are also really strong especially with e-commerce, accounting, forecasting and other connected tools. Setting up the application is simple and the overall system is user-friendly to work with. Reporting is one of the strongest parts and the kitting and bill of materials features are very useful. I also appreciate the auto-assemble and auto-complete functionality since it can automatically build an assembly when an order is shipped or completed.
Cons
There are still a few areas that could be better, particularly document customization and taxes. The auto-assemble feature is helpful but I would really like it to handle the full bill of materials hierarchy instead of only assembling the top-level or main product.

Pros
Even though it comes packed with features, it's still very user-friendly. Team members learn their part of the workflow quickly which makes adoption much easier. It's also worth mentioning that, in the Xero ecosystem, Unleashed is the only inventory app that really handles manufacturing properly. On top of that, the reporting is flexible and simple to use without needing any technical background. Any staff member can pull up and tailor the reports they need to get their work done.

“misled on Magento 2 support”
Pros
It integrates well with Xero.
Cons
The biggest problem was being told it would work properly with Magento 2 when that turned out not to be true. We purchased it specifically because they assured us they supported Magento 2 and that orders placed through our Magento store would flow into Unleashed, with stock levels updating there and syncing back to Magento. We were told this would be handled through a third-party app and we paid an extra 300 for that setup. After more than 8 months of going back and forth with Unleashed and the Land Digital connector for Magento, we were eventually informed that the connector would not work with assembled products. That is a basic and essential inventory feature. We only sell branded soft toys with different printed garments so this is not a particularly complicated setup. On top of that, the system pulled the total stock quantity instead of the available stock figure after allocated stock had been accounted for. After 8 months, it became obvious the connector was not fit for purpose. To be honest, they never even admitted that. They still seem to believe it works fine which makes it even more frustrating. When we asked whether Unleashed had any plans to offer a native Magento 2 integration, the answer was no. That leaves us with inventory software that is basically useless for our needs and does nothing especially beyond what Xero inventory already does by itself. Dealing with two of the Unleashed reps was also extremely frustrating. Their attitude toward the connector issues was that it was not their problem. Technically it may not be their software but Unleashed repeatedly assured us from the start and throughout the process that their system would meet our eCommerce requirements. It does not. We now have meetings lined up with Brightpearl and Cin7, both of which offer native Magento 2 integrations.

“Fantastic onboarding support”
Pros
Switching to it as a new company has been a really pleasant experience and the professional onboarding service made the whole transition feel much more manageable. The onboarding specialist looked after us throughout the process, answered every question we had and was both highly professional and extremely knowledgeable about the system. Learning from her and having that level of support has been amazing. Moving to a new system can feel pretty intimidating but she helped turn the entire experience into something truly positive. I would absolutely recommend it.
Cons
Up to this point, everything has been excellent. The system can feel a bit overwhelming at first if you have never worked with a detailed inventory platform like this but the onboarding support really helps. Once you speak with the support team, the areas that seemed confusing or intimidating start to make sense and feel much easier to handle.

“Superb inventory management”
Pros
Inventory management which is really the heart of this software, works very well. It makes handling sales and purchases simple and gives you good control over stock levels.
Cons
On the manufacturing side though, the software falls short especially with bills of materials. There's no way to link a BOM to a sales order or a specific customer when you print the BOM for production. Reporting is also a weak point since it's difficult to get stock reports that include assembled items.

“Hard to integrate with Xero”
Pros
Being cloud-based is definitely a plus since we can access it from anywhere and it's more convenient to maintain than old PC-based software. It also does a decent job of tracking landed costs and margins which is one of the more useful parts of the platform.
Cons
Trying to integrate it with Xero has been a headache unless you're willing to pay for expensive accountant-led setup. In actual day-to-day use, the functionality feels extremely limited. We still haven't managed to complete a basic stock take because of the system's major restrictions and the U/L support team hasn't helped beyond pointing out Unleashed's limitations and telling us we need to work around them. The reporting that comes out of the box is really poor and we ended up connecting Power BI just to get any insights that were actually useful. The customer service staff are pleasant to deal with but they are not very solution-oriented. When you raise what seems like a common-sense fix, be prepared for a long chain of emails that goes nowhere.

“helps make data-driven business decisions”
Pros
From day one, this has felt like a really solid application for managing inventory effectively and efficiently. It lets you monitor stock details in real time across multiple locations which makes it much easier to make better data-driven business decisions. The interface is simple and supportive enough that people can use it with the help of the available training resources. One thing I appreciate is that it allows invoice creation even when stock is not yet available in the system. It is one of the most reliable applications I have come across and it is also very simple to introduce to new employees. There are a lot of features included and it truly feels worth the money because the functionality is strong. The management capabilities are excellent, it works very quickly and effectively and the CRM support is another valuable addition.
Cons
At the same time it is not very flexible and the UI can feel quite complex and overwhelming. The lack of customization also creates some functional limitations. There are also issues when adjusting dates and that makes real-time stock tracking difficult in certain situations. Another thing some users would really want is integration with Xero, along with US shipping integrations such as ShipStation.

“too limited for retail”
Pros
Being cloud-based software, it's available through the internet which makes it far more convenient to access and maintain than traditional PC-based programs.
Cons
For a serious retail operation, it feels far too basic especially when you're managing more than 5,000 products. The reporting is quite limited and purchase order creation in particular lacks any real intelligence. For example, when adding an item to a PO, you'd expect to see useful details right there on the screen such as how many are already on order, how many are currently on hand and how many were sold in the last month. Unleashed doesn't provide that on the PO screen. There's also no direct integration with 3PL warehouses. Because of this and several other limitations, we ended up relying heavily on spreadsheets most of the time which really defeats the whole point of using dedicated inventory management software.

“Worth it!”
Pros
Switching to it has been fantastic for us. We import goods from different continents in all kinds of batch sizes and managing that used to be a real nightmare. We replaced more than 15 spreadsheets with one much cleaner system and it has cut down my workload significantly. When I actually calculated the time I was spending managing spreadsheets, it came to 248 hours a year. Getting used to the terminology was a little challenging at first and because we have lots of bulk products that break down into smaller units, setting everything up took some time. Still, with support from the Unleashed team and the training program, I got everything running properly in the system and I honestly would not go back. My only regret is not moving to it earlier. If you are considering it, just go for it.
Cons
The terminology can be a little difficult to understand if you are new to this industry. I also wish there were an Android app. You can access the platform online but it does not feel as polished as the iPhone app.

“Helpful onboarding team”
Pros
Getting started was fairly simple, even though I had no background in setting up new systems. Whenever I ran into something I wasn't sure about, the onboarding team was incredibly helpful. Their email support has also been impressively quick and consistently helpful whenever I've had an issue. Training our small team didn't take long at all and everyone has found the software simple to use. Unleashed does enforce certain steps that can feel a bit restrictive at times, like needing a purchase order for every purchase or having to raise a credit against an order but that structure really does result in very accurate inventory. The reporting has been excellent as well especially the margin reports and the ability to break things down by salesperson or department which has been really useful for monitoring performance and reporting back to directors. The Xero integration has been fantastic too and it was one of the biggest reasons we decided to go with Unleashed.
Cons
Because we buy a lot of our stock from our sister company, those items aren't shown as already being 'in stock,' so we end up having to create a purchase order for every sales order which adds quite a bit of extra admin. Also, phone support is an additional paid feature on my plan and there are times when being able to just call someone would be really helpful when I need to sort something quickly. That said we don't pay for it and the email support has been excellent so it hasn't been a major issue overall.

“Met our needs”
Pros
After trying several inventory platforms, I ended up choosing this. It matched our business model really well because we needed support for multiple warehouses, bill of materials, product assembly and multi-currency transactions. Also, the simple integration with Xero made it the clear choice. I originally signed up for the trial just to check whether it could genuinely do everything it promised and it absolutely did. During the trial, one of Unleashed's sales executives was consistently available and always happy to help, no matter what we asked. After two weeks of properly putting the trial through its paces, we signed up for the Medium User Plan. The API connection with Xero was unbelievably simple to set up. Their online support has also been excellent. Up to now, we've only needed to submit two support tickets about a CSV import question and both times the issue was resolved in under an hour from the moment we logged it. I really can't thank him and the support team enough. The software feels user-friendly and very user-friendly, to the point that I even turned down one of their onboarding sessions because it didn't seem necessary. Everyone on our team has responded positively and training never became a problem because people learned the system very quickly. I'd definitely recommend signing up for an Unleashed trial, you really won't regret it. It makes managing the business much simpler.
Cons
At times, logging in can be a bit slow although that is probably down to our internet connection here in North Wales rather than an issue with Unleashed itself. We're currently on the Medium Plan which fits our business very well. That said I can see the costs increasing fairly quickly for larger companies.

“Brilliant inventory management features”
Pros
Our team really values the inventory management features and how simple the system is to use. The ability to make adjustments for damaged items and warranties helps us throughout the year and makes the auditing process much simpler.
Cons
A sale can't be changed after it has been dispatched or completed. I'm also unhappy with the pricing setup because as a legacy customer we weren't automatically included in the newer user rights at the original price level. When new features are introduced, like iPhone app access, I would have expected to receive them without needing to move to a different pricing tier. It gives the impression that long-term customers aren't being appreciated and that the platform isn't really supporting our growth.

“Lets me view every client's orders separately”
Pros
Being able to view every client's orders separately, along with what still needs to ship, has been really helpful. We also really appreciate the inventory tracking and the dashboard which is very simple to navigate.
Cons
One odd issue keeps coming up when entering someone's email in the contact file. A message says the email must be valid, even when it is correct. This never happened during the first year but we have been seeing it during April and May. Another thing I'd love is for the order screen, at least for online viewing, to automatically show the store's email and phone number for each individual shipping address. That is especially important when one store has multiple locations and different contacts because it would be helpful to have that information visible at a glance while reviewing the order. The contact details do appear on the printed paper order but not on the computer screen. Also, when printing an order, we are wondering if there is a faster way to reorganize items. For example, if we order EDP2001, then some other products and later another EDP2003, we currently have to move each line manually one at a time. It would be much better if there were a quicker way to sort items for picking and packing. Thank you so much.

“Monitors stock levels for us”
Pros
Keeping track of inventory across more than 100 warehouse locations is absolutely essential for us and this software helps us stay fully on top of stock levels at all times. Unleashed makes the whole process quick and simple so we can monitor everything accurately without wasting time.
Cons
Honestly I do not have any real complaints. Unleashed clearly pays attention to customer feedback and when the same issue is raised by enough users, they actually respond by making changes which I really appreciate.

“it just works well”
Pros
Everything works exactly as it should and that has been a big plus for me.
Cons
There are still a couple of features my business needs but it sounds like those are already planned and on the roadmap.

“Complicated interface”
Pros
It does offer spreadsheet import with a lot of parameters which is useful. The system is also scalable if the time-consuming problems ever get fixed and the accuracy is extremely high.
Cons
Using it is frustrating because the interface is very poor and extremely complicated. Having a single account for both sales and purchases is a real limitation, the documentation feels outdated, exchange rates are static and the platform is very slow. When this is brought up, they seem to deny it.
