Right away, the way this works feels very sophisticated in its design yet it is still simple to use and understand. It does not require any technical skills and the amount of automation included is a big advantage.
Cons
The inventory management part feels a bit expensive. If the price were closer to 3000 per year, I think Zoho would attract a much larger user base.

Pros
With so many integrated tools available today, Zoho Desk still manages to stand out by offering a strong feature set at a lower price while keeping up with other products in the same space. The things I appreciated most were order management, invoicing and how well it integrates with other tools. It also works very closely with other Zoho products which makes the whole ecosystem more useful. Accessing the platform is simple and the reporting and dashboard features feel better than what I have seen from other players in this category. It also handles RMA without much trouble.
Cons
Like any tool, it does have a couple of weak spots. There is no equipment rental feature which would have been useful and the composite items feature does not work as well as expected. It usually needs extra adjustment from the user to make it function properly.

Being cloud-based is a big plus and the customer-based pricing tiers work really well for us. The import and export features are also very useful.
Cons
Switching over from a much older DOS based system that we had used for years definitely came with some difficulty. At first it was hard to figure out how to handle certain business tasks the way we were used to doing them. After a lot of digging around I realized it does include most of the core functions we needed but they were not very easy to locate. That may simply be because the platform offers so much so there is a lot to figure out through.

Right away, the dashboard stands out with a really strong daily snapshot of what's happening across the business and what actions need to come next. Managing sales orders and moving stock between warehouses is very practical and it also makes it simple to expand into additional warehouses when the business grows. The website integration has been excellent as well. Products and inventory levels sync directly to the site which removes a lot of duplicated work. On top of that, the API access is a huge plus. It opens up opportunities to build more applications around it and create extra value for both customers and internal business processes.
Cons
Permissions still need more refinement. For instance, access to the Customer Contact module should be restricted so a user only sees the contacts they created, while someone like an accountant should be able to view every contact regardless of who entered it. It would also be very useful to have a desktop version or at least an option to keep working offline whenever the internet connection is weak or unavailable.

Keeping tabs on finished goods and the individual parts that go into them is really easy and the connection with invoicing makes the whole process even more useful. It's simple to tell what needs to be reordered. Features like package geometry are a nice touch too since being able to visualize the package is genuinely helpful. The option to duplicate products was also a huge relief.
Cons
I do wish bulk editing product pricing was more convenient and the reporting could definitely be more detailed. It took some time to figure everything out and I still feel like I'm learning but it does seem worth the effort. I also wish emails sent through the software could be tracked and stored.
