“affordable virtual event toolkit
Pros
Comparing platforms like Whova and BlueJeans, this one met all my needs and I personally found it easier to use while still offering strong features like analytics, registration and networking spaces.
Cons
One limitation when we used it was the lack of live streaming options to Facebook or YouTube. It also didn't offer captions. The platform relies on its own built-in video conferencing but I really think it would have been better if it integrated with Zoom instead, since Zoom already has livestreaming and captioning features. We also spent a lot of time rehearsing with speakers before the event, yet on the actual day, one speaker's audio failed in the video session and we never figured out why. On top of that, it seemed harder for speakers to get comfortable with the platform's conferencing tool which is another reason a Zoom integration would have made things easier since most people already know how to use it.

“virtual events that deliver
Pros
In my experience, it does create a great virtual conference environment and I've found it handles the core functionality it's designed for without major issues.
Cons
During the pandemic, I used it as an attendee across both free and paid conferences and the overall experience made one thing pretty clear, there should be less focus on mimicking physical spaces and more focus on what actually matters in a digital event. For example, there was no option for group screen sharing during roundtable sessions. Seeing digital avatars just isn't that important compared to being able to talk together and share content effectively. There's a lot of potential here but the priorities feel off.

“costly ticketing issues in germany
Pros
The feature set looked strong at first glance but in practice I wasn't able to make full or effective use of it in my workflow.
Cons
Our biggest problem was the customer support. Even though we checked everything in advance, the platform ended up being completely unusable for us when it came time to actually host our event, especially around ticketing. Since we're based in Germany, we needed proper support for selling tickets within the German tax system and that support simply wasn't there. Nothing made that clear before we subscribed, so we ended up losing a lot of money on a tool we couldn't use at all. Support was no help with this, seemed uninformed and honestly didn't appear to care. On top of that, they do not offer refunds, even if you never used the platform because important limitations were never disclosed upfront. It turned into a very expensive mistake and the only lesson we got from it was not to use it again. If you're in Germany and need to sell tickets, I would strongly avoid it. For free events, though, it would probably be okay.

“promises didn't match reality
Pros
Although I found the platform visually polished and the attendee experience quite strong, I still had to spend time figuring out the correct setup for stage and session tools before I could use them properly.
Cons
Our experience using it for last week's event was unfortunately very disappointing. Most of the issues came down to feature limitations and a big gap between what was promised and what was actually available. We paid for the fairly expensive Growth plan, only to discover that several features we needed were locked behind the Business tier, with no option to pay monthly to access them. The first missing items we ran into were magic links for speakers and two-way registration sync with HubSpot and after that the list of problems kept growing. The ticket registration flow is basically a 3-step authentication process which caused a lot of friction and led around 100 attendees to abandon sign-up partway through. Trying to connect the platform with HubSpot was nearly pointless. We were unable to use webhooks to automate registration and we also couldn't set up a two-way sync for registrations which forced attendees to register twice. UTM tracking links were advertised as a way to identify where sign-ups came from but in practice the feature wasn't actually ready, so we still don't know how attendees reached the registration page. Customer support was also slow and the first-line agent was rarely able to resolve anything, seeming more like a basic triage step than real support. On top of that, the reporting included in the Growth plan is extremely limited. The biggest missing piece for us was session-level attendee data, since we expected to see which attendees joined which sessions during the event and that information simply wasn't there.
