versatile calendar hub

Pros

Managing different event types and calendars in a single app has made things more convenient for me and I find the overall workflow easy to follow.

Cons

Notifications across multiple accounts don't always come through the way they should which can lead to missing important events.

affordable virtual event toolkit

Pros

Comparing platforms like Whova and BlueJeans, this one met all my needs and I personally found it easier to use while still offering strong features like analytics, registration and networking spaces.

Cons

One limitation when we used it was the lack of live streaming options to Facebook or YouTube. It also didn't offer captions. The platform relies on its own built-in video conferencing but I really think it would have been better if it integrated with Zoom instead, since Zoom already has livestreaming and captioning features. We also spent a lot of time rehearsing with speakers before the event, yet on the actual day, one speaker's audio failed in the video session and we never figured out why. On top of that, it seemed harder for speakers to get comfortable with the platform's conferencing tool which is another reason a Zoom integration would have made things easier since most people already know how to use it.

packed with the right essentials

Pros

Looking at alternatives like HeySummit, I noticed this platform feels more complete and I prefer how the video functionality is built directly into it.

Cons

The branding customization still feels a bit restrictive and the percentage taken from ticket sales is higher than with most competing tools.

helpful event templates and analytics

Pros

Working closely with the team gave me confidence during setup and I found the interface easy enough to handle even as a new user, especially when choosing event types and reviewing analytics.

Cons

Customer support could definitely be better. Another limitation is that direct ticket sales only integrate with Stripe.

limited features and weak integration

Pros

Signing up was simple for me and I also appreciated having the flexibility of monthly billing when getting started.

Cons

The functionality feels very limited overall. The HubSpot integration is nearly useless and doesn't really accomplish much. It's also too easy for attendees to accidentally become presenters and the event customization options are poor.

strong fit for virtual events

Pros

Handling virtual events across global programs has been manageable for me and I like that most of the key features I need are already included in one place.

Cons

As with any platform, some parts still don't integrate as well as we need for certain events.

useful free trial access

Pros

Having access to both a free version and a trial has been really helpful for me, since I can explore the platform properly before committing.

Cons

The feature set is quite limited which narrows what users can actually do and affects the overall customer experience. The sawtooth update is also a drawback.

virtual event booth success

Pros

During the pandemic, I used this to run a virtual event for my company and I found setting up a booth and hosting it very simple while still giving attendees a smooth experience.

Cons

Overall, my time using the platform was very positive. The one thing I wish it had was a more advanced chat option, especially the ability for people to reply in a thread to a specific comment.

fun attendee matchmaking

Pros

One feature I genuinely enjoyed was the networking function and I personally found getting matched with other attendees and dropped into a meeting room surprisingly engaging and fun.

Cons

On the downside, the platform's presentation streaming relies on Streamyard and that part feels confusing. It also doesn't blend well with the rest of the platform, so the overall integration seems pretty weak.

Pros

Cons

simple event tools

Pros

After running a couple of hybrid and fully online events with it, I can say I found it simple to work with and well-equipped for managing events end to end.

Cons

On the lower-priced plans, there's not much room to customize your event which can feel limiting. It would also be nice if they offered larger discounts for non-profit organizations.

virtual events that deliver

Pros

In my experience, it does create a great virtual conference environment and I've found it handles the core functionality it's designed for without major issues.

Cons

During the pandemic, I used it as an attendee across both free and paid conferences and the overall experience made one thing pretty clear, there should be less focus on mimicking physical spaces and more focus on what actually matters in a digital event. For example, there was no option for group screen sharing during roundtable sessions. Seeing digital avatars just isn't that important compared to being able to talk together and share content effectively. There's a lot of potential here but the priorities feel off.

fantastic for virtual events

Pros

Getting everything set up was easy on my side and I also noticed that attendees felt comfortable logging in, joining sessions and networking during events.

Cons

Like any tech platform, there's still room to make it better. A speaker green room built into Streamyard would be extremely useful for coordinating multiple speakers throughout an event.

flexible multi-session hosting

Pros

Running multiple sessions at the same time has been useful for me and I like that participants can easily choose which session they want to join.

Cons

I'd still love to see the session layout feel a bit more like Zoom, especially so more attendees can be visible on screen even during recordings.
