“Simple to use”
Pros
Getting started with it feels very easy. The way objects connect makes sense and it's simple to understand how to use the query language effectively.
Cons
Because the product is still evolving, there isn't a perfect answer for every use case yet. That said, the team pays attention to customer needs and keeps building solutions to fill those gaps.

“modern asset management done right”
Pros
It fits the way things actually exist in our environment. Rather than forcing everything into a fixed asset model, it lets you represent what you really manage like devices, contracts, locations, services and more. That means I'm not stuck reshaping my data just to satisfy the tool. Even though the platform can do a lot, it never feels intimidating to work in. Searching, filtering, creating views and staying on top of assets can all be done without constantly relying on an admin or developer. It also connects really well with Atlassian tools while still being perfectly useful on its own. Since we already work with Jira and Jira Service Management, that integration has been a major advantage. Connecting assets to tickets and using Starhive as the asset backbone for Jira feels very natural. Another thing I appreciate is how modern the product feels. The UI, speed and overall behavior feel current instead of like an outdated legacy system. It's also clear the product is actively moving forward and the team seems engaged, responsive and open to feedback.
Cons
That level of flexibility does mean there's a bit of a learning curve at first. You need to spend some time thinking through how you want to organize your objects and relationships. It's not especially hard but it's also not something I'd call pure plug and play. I also wouldn't treat Starhive as a full replacement for larger ITSM suites in every situation just yet. Right now, its strongest value feels more centered on asset management and data handling than being a complete out of the box ITSM platform.

“fast ITSM platform”
Pros
Starhive feels like a modern and solid way to handle ITSM, with detailed asset management and strong data representation. The platform is quick, responsive and having its own AI is a really valuable addition.
Cons
At the same time some competing systems still offer more functionality than it currently has. I'd also like to see more quick connectivity with other systems especially since AI should be able to support that kind of integration today.
