helped us out for COVID check ins

Pros

Having a quick way to check in and indicate whether I've had any COVID symptoms or been around someone with symptoms has been really useful. From what I understand, the admins can also map that data to see who may be affected by COVID which helps keep the campus running even during the pandemic.

Cons

Finding the daily survey in the app feels a little too difficult. It takes a bit of clicking around before you get to it.

Standout support

Pros

Using the system feels very natural. The icons are well thought out and make sense when I'm sharing it with other people. The admin side is also very simple to work with. It has a very Mac like feel especially with the drag and drop setup which I really appreciate. The team helping build out new workflows has been incredible as well. As soon as a change is brought up, they jump on it and make updates right away. On top of that they understand both the platform itself and the worlds of higher education and emergency management which is a huge advantage for me. I don't have to waste time explaining how my institution operates.

Cons

The cockpit area, with all of the different conversations, can be a little confusing at first. Once you understand how it works, it does make sense but it can be hard to train others on initially.

powerful emergency coordination tools

Pros

From alerts to documentation, this platform covers a lot for emergency response. It sends notifications by text, phone, email and push alerts to the leaders who need to respond and the chat room helps keep an accurate record of important events. It also includes public and private forms for collecting information and showing the right details on dashboards, plus a document library so leaders can quickly access critical materials. The built in address book keeps contact information current for everyone involved during an emergency and it can also be used beyond response situations for things like regulatory compliance and meeting agendas.

Cons

One thing to think through is not really the software itself but how your organization plans to build and manage the platform over time, whether with internal staff or outside support. It helps to have someone in house who can stay proficient in developing solutions or to make use of their solutions team. We've had very positive results working with their team because they deliver quick, well built solutions.
