Roque Garcia_Fluix review

Pros

At work we handle a huge number of documents every day and I find Fluix makes sharing them fast and painless. It also lets us easily track and review every file we've worked on throughout the day. Overall the interface feels intuitive and simple to navigate so it's simple to use.

Cons

I don't have any complaints about Fluix up to this point. It syncs reliably whenever we use it and that consistency makes my job easier. All in all, I consider it a solid file-sharing solution that does what we need without fuss.

Fluix is Great!

Pros

I find the platform extremely user-friendly and the customer support has been excellent. My clients rarely encounter problems when they receive or sign contracts which keeps the sales process running smoothly.

Cons

For more than ten years I've relied on this platform and I honestly can't think of any shortcomings. To me it's an excellent software.

Fluix works well with our company

Pros

I use Fluix every day and think its interface is simple to get around. It handles our files and images superbly and the support team really knows their stuff. It's simple to distribute across our company and the top tool I've found for monitoring projects.

Cons

From my experience it can be a bit sluggish at times. I would also appreciate a more readily accessible FAQ area and a proper training guide to help new users get up to speed.

high standards for value for money

Pros

Working as an Offshore Wind Turbine Lead Technician I've relied on Fluix every day for seven years as my main technical database. For my work it stores tens of thousands of pages of technical information where I need to pull up work instructions, electrical schematics and spare parts lists. Fluix helps me find that proverbial "needle in the haystack", the search tool is excellent. I can quickly locate the correct document, open it and then search inside it without hassle. It lets me manage vast quantities of files, not just for locating information but also for filling out editable documents and sharing them across our organization. Daily I use Fluix to complete fillable checklists, pre-use inspections, feedback forms and similar paperwork. The "Drafts" folder has made my standardized documentation far more efficient. I can prepare documents ahead of time and sign them off on the spot when everything checks out, or update them immediately if something needs changing. My "Personal" folder is a lifesaver for saving, highlighting and organizing the bits of information I reference frequently. Being able to edit fillable documents by inserting photos, screenshots, notes and even sketches sparks creativity that helps me simplify technically complex explanations. That approach lets me hand over work to colleagues clearly, whereas otherwise it might take pages of text to explain. Sharing completed documents within the organization is the feature we rely on most. Those submissions go through an approval workflow and are archived for many purposes. A typical use is saving past findings that inform how we plan future site visits. Keeping track of so much data is feasible because we use automated renaming rules for documents. When files follow a standardized naming convention, finding the right information becomes simple. Ultimately, storing this historical data is how we manage to keep our turbines operating with such a high level of availability.

Cons

That said one of Fluix's greatest strengths, the ability to share documents easily, is also its biggest weakness in terms of data protection. I feel that adding a two-factor authentication option would make access to sensitive materials significantly more secure. Limiting the ways documents can be shared to a set of trusted channels would be another useful safeguard. At the moment I could, if I wanted, share intellectual property through various consumer apps like "Snapchat" or even paste content into services like "ChatGPT," and that shouldn't be possible. One more improvement that would benefit our organisation is better compatibility with SAP FSM. Introducing some degree of automation between Fluix and our field service management system would likely reduce the amount of time spent on administrative tasks and cut labour costs. Admittedly, I'm not certain how feasible that integration would be, as that topic goes beyond my technical knowledge.

Amazing day to day as user

Pros

The workflow and documentation are what I find most helpful, the way the workflow is set up makes my everyday tasks and operations much simpler.

Cons

I find the app could be much more user-friendly especially for people like me who don't have an IT background, the workflow setup feels a bit complicated and should be simplified. I would also love to see formula support added, for instance, automatic calculations for flight hours and totals for passengers by male, female and children so those sums don't have to be entered manually.

Pros

I've discovered that the customization for forms is practically endless, I can tweak fields, layouts and validation rules until they match exactly what I need.

Cons

Sometimes I feel the workflow management is pretty restrictive, it doesn't always let me model processes the way I want.

difficult to create workflows

Pros

Really I like the document management and sharing features and I find uploading files very simple.

Cons

As the administrator I've found that when admin users try to use Fluix on a desktop, they can't view JPEG or Word files, those types only show up if they open the mobile app. I myself work from the desktop/web interface and am able to upload and see the files without trouble but because the majority of our team accesses Fluix from computers, we end up having to convert many documents into PDF format and that conversion process takes a lot of extra time and effort which is frustrating for our workflow.

Overall easy to use

Pros

I find it very easy, simple to use and I can easily show others how it works. My team isn't overwhelmed with tons of features we'll never need.

Cons

Because the feature set is so minimal I find it harder to tailor it for each individual project. However as far as I know improvements are underway to address that.

Handles workflows very well

Pros

I've found it very simple to create user groups that include all sorts of email addresses and to configure an approval workflow for PDF documents that also extracts data from those PDFs. Once processed, the files can be emailed, routed to many different types of storage locations, or have their contents extracted for further use.

Cons

One frustration I've noticed is that a few minor interface changes have made things worse and haven't been reverted. For example after the redesign it stopped showing how many files I had selected to push to a group inbox BEFORE I hit Push. Instead I often have to wait several minutes when pushing a large batch and only then receive a receipt that tells me how many files actually went through. If I accidentally selected the wrong number it can be awkward and time-consuming to find and delete the files that were just pushed.

using Fluix for over 5 years

Pros

Well I've had the chance to watch it grow into an excellent platform over the years. I find the tool really user-friendly for field technicians allowing them to maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation in real-world situations. Technicians can complete photo-enabled checklists and then submit them for multi-level approval workflows.

Cons

Currently I'm finding that photos embedded in checklists are unusable when I'm trying to review them in detail, could you tell me if and when you'll fix this so we can get a direct link to the RAW images or provide a way to access the uncompressed originals that preserve full quality?

Simple and realistic

Pros

On-site technicians can do a lot with only an iPad and I've found it incredibly powerful for that purpose. It handles large volumes of information reliably, takes care of the full set of work that needs doing and viewing documents in Fluix is simple and intuitive.

Cons

I know its effectiveness depends entirely on the people who configure it so it's only as strong as those who set it up. I also have to be careful not to enter duplicate information into the system and it definitely requires a well-organized folder structure.

Pros

I've found this application extremely helpful for finishing documents, organizing and storing them and it also lets me perform fast searches to retrieve documents previously completed by any users at the "location".

Cons

My biggest problem is how long the app takes to synchronize whenever I add or remove folders from users' profiles which really slows down my workflow.

Really good tool

Pros

I'm really pleased that we can sync folders and set up the workflow so that the right people receive the proper access, ensuring they get every document they require without being overwhelmed by too many files and getting confused. Overall this is a very solid tool.

Cons

We keep running into internal politics when trying to link our SharePoint page with FLUIX and nobody seems to have the permissions to do it so I struggle to find someone who can assist. It's definitely an internal problem.

best working for care managers

Pros

I've found the interface pretty user-friendly and it helps my customers fill out forms and collect digital signatures.

Cons

At our company we rolled out the form builder so our customers could add signature and date fields to existing PDF documents but we were later informed that the date fields can't be configured to use mm/dd/yyyy format. Instead they default to dd/mm/yyyy which forces users to manually remember to switch the format every time.

On top of that customer support is available right when I need them which gives me confidence in relying on the product.

Cons

I haven't had any negative experiences with it, my interactions have been consistently positive. Frankly there isn't anything bad that I can point out about the product.

easily manages company documents.

Pros

On both my iPad and when I open it in a browser on Windows or Mac, the software runs reliably. It looks like it can grow with our team and gives us everything we need to operate. The feature that lets me send documents to clients for signature is very high-end and provides all the capabilities we need to get documents signed remotely.

Cons

What I initially disliked most about the software ended up being addressed when I reached out to customer support. They enabled those features for us and their team replies extremely quickly.
