does-it-all!

Pros

I genuinely don't see much to dislike here, this software covers all the bases and also includes integrations for third-party tools.

Cons

No real complaints. Updates have been steady over the years as the technology has changed.

Good for small teams

Pros

Great software for running field service work when you're on a smaller team. We had around 15 people using it and it worked without any issues so scheduling and managing day-to-day activities stayed under control.

Cons

It's not the strongest option if you're looking for a proper CRM beyond field service. We tried using it for sales CRM for a while but it didn't really fit the job and the results weren't as good as we expected.

decent...

Pros

I'm okay with the software itself but it feels like the bigger problem is how the company handles licensing. It's hard to understand why a client's software perpetual license can simply be shut off.

Cons

This seems like a management decision to disable perpetual licenses which is a pretty rough way to treat customers who already paid for long-term access.

Nice customer history tracking

Pros

It handled our customer systems well and kept solid records, with a useful history we could refer back to later.

Cons

Price is pretty high. We ended up not using enough of the built-in features to make the cost feel worth it.

Time log notes come in handy

Pros

This is a really solid way to jot down quick notes alongside time logs and later come back to add the missing details like the actual problem and the solution. It keeps my records organized without making me rewrite everything from scratch.

Cons

Nothing comes to mind that I disliked right now.

Smooth scheduling

Pros

Scheduling technicians is quick and the techs can view their schedules too. It also handles the quote-to-service-order workflow really well so converting quotes into service orders feels easy.

Cons

It does have one shortcoming, the reports explorer module is a bit too complex for our employees to create reports from.

Limited reports

Pros

I appreciate that it works well for managing service orders and supports the operations team. It also seems to track profitability fairly accurately. That said, there's a noticeable gap in reporting... there aren't enough built-in reports to actually run the business day to day.

Cons

Accounting support feels a bit lacking. Yes, you can integrate with tools like QuickBooks but it would be better if more accounting functionality were included so everything could live in one system instead of relying on multiple platforms. Also, whenever you need a different report, you end up paying to have it customized which gets frustrating quickly.

all-in-one tool

Pros

Really enjoying that it's set up as an all-in-one solution for running the business. It covers inventory management, creating price book items, generating quotes, logging service orders, invoicing customers and even handling purchase orders, plus a lot of other tools. One standout feature is the service order flow.. technicians can log in and create a service order, then jot down notes, enter time logs, attach expense records and list the items that were actually serviced. It's also a solid way to track customer inventory and keep an eye on how old customer items are. Also, the reporting tools and many other functions are highly customizable for each organization.

Cons

Occasionally, emailing documents (quotes, invoices, service orders, etc.) through the software results in the recipient getting a winmail.dat file instead of a proper PDF. It seems related to the PDF conversion occasionally not finishing correctly... sometimes the PDF looks like it was generated successfully but the email output is wrong. The issue doesn't happen every time but it's noticeable enough to be annoying when it does.

Loved it!

Pros

The support team has been awesome to work with... friendly, courteous and genuinely helpful. The system lets us track everything we need (and more) and it still feels fairly user friendly if you use it daily. It also plays really well with Microsoft and QuickBooks which makes setup and day-to-day use a lot smoother. Overall, the software has helped automate our business systems and it keeps getting better as we learn more features and start using them more fully.

Cons

Mobile app feels a bit dated at times but overall there's nothing too wrong with the tool, its great actually.

solid all-in-one service management

Pros

It covers basically everything we need for our IT services and physical security work... quoting, service ticketing, CRM, marketing, invoicing, plus purchasing and inventory management. Having all those pieces in one place makes day-to-day operations much more easy.

Cons

While the software currently offers a comprehensive suite of features that meet our business needs, the pace of new updates is slower than competitors which could impact its long-term competitiveness and ability to support emerging needs.

Amazing software

Pros

This platform feels like a true full-circle system for our business. We get CRM and ERP capabilities (and more) all in one place. It also integrates with QuickBooks and other tools which makes the whole setup significantly more powerful. The way it is structured gives us a lot of flexibility so we can shape it around how our business actually operates. The mobile portal, employee portal and customer portals also support multiple ways of working while helping us serve customers at a higher level. We used it to move our company from a traditional service-contract model toward a SaaS/CaaS/MSP style platform. When switching to a new system, we learned you really need documented current SOPs and best practices first, then map those into the software implementation. We've been using Tigerpaw exclusively for about two years now and we're still rolling out and automating processes. You can begin with a simple setup and expand from there as your operational requirements evolve. The matrix feature is arguably one of the strongest tools in there, it's incredibly powerful for managing data and supporting nearly any process you can think of. Workflows are also a major win, we use them heavily to automate day-to-day operations. Overall, it's the best and most affordable platform we've used. And if you're coming from Salesforce, you may definitely feel the difference, It lets us handle nearly everything we need, from development to reporting, without relying on a professional developer.

Cons

It is an extremely powerful, flexible and affordable all-in-one business platform for desktop and back-office operations but its mobile experience is underdeveloped, creating friction for field technicians and preventing it from being a truly smooth full-circle solution for mobile-dependent teams.

powerful desktop database management

Pros

Desktop version packs in a lot of functions that make database management much more manageable and it also helps keep service reps current on customer requests... from intake right through processing.

Cons

Our package included a bunch of features that we only needed once in a while so they never really got fully utilized. It would've been better if there were more customization options at the start so we could choose the specific features we actually need instead of having to work around the rest.

Works really well

Pros

Interface is simple to work with, after joining some online classes, I could pick up what I needed for implementation right away. The data structure makes sense and it's easy to download so you can manipulate it and then upload it back when you're done.

No cons from me!!

Strong tracking

Pros

The service ticket tracking and reporting have been excellent. It's easy to attach contract details to service tickets and keep tabs on billable time. Reporting is pretty comprehensive and there's solid expense tracking as well. Customer contracts are also easy to manage which makes it a strong all-in-one option for support teams. Reliability has been a big win, after 20 years of using it, we've never run into access issues.

Cons

It doesn't really cover sales CRM needs so our sales team has to use a separate solution.

Overall a great tool

Pros

Does feels sturdy and well put together and it holds up nicely during regular use. Performance stays consistent and nothing about the day-to-day experience feels flimsy or unreliable. It also came across as something that's been thought through, from the way it's constructed to how it functions in practice.

Cons

During my use, no major issues showed up but I wouldn't call everything perfect, there are a few minor limitations depending on how you plan to use it.

feature-heavy but menu-heavy

Pros

This system covers a ton of workflows in one place... billing and invoicing, ticketing, parts/inventory management order tracking and password management. It also handles asset management plus client interactions and keeps a solid history of activity. There's likely even more under the hood that I'm forgetting.

Cons

Oh, it is is undeniably feature-rich, covering a vast array of business workflows. However, this comprehensive feature set results in a cluttered, non-user friendly interface and high complexity making it a poor fit for small businesses without dedicated administrative support, as even simple tasks become time-consuming.

frequent outages

Pros

User interface is easy and the overall setup feels simple. There are useful features for service-based companies too and it's clearly built with telecom/IT in mind.

Cons

Reliability is a big letdown...outages seem to happen often. Whenever upgrades are scheduled, things rarely go smoothly and the downtime can run long. Support has also been disappointing especially when an outage or upgrade is happening.

responsive support

Pros

Having tried plenty of different CRMs before, I can say TigerPaw feels pretty slick as I keep learning it. A lot of the pain points we've run into seem to come more from how the system was implemented than from the actual way it works so having the right guidance upfront makes a big difference. We're actively trying to adjust quite a few of our processes and that part is taking longer than we'd like.. still a bit slow and daunting... but it has been consistently available and their support team is responsive and very thorough. The daily "ask, the-experts" help has been especially valuable for me.

Cons

Reporting could be better, I can get customized reports created but I wish there were an easier way for me to design and build my own reports without needing to request them.

Perfect for bigger teams

Pros

This feels like an all-in-one setup aimed at larger businesses that want everything kept in one place. I used it only briefly and the interface was easy enough that I didn't run into any major navigation problems.

Cons

Pricing is pretty steep especially compared to what small businesses typically need. If you're running something smaller, there are more affordable and compact options that make more sense.

so good

Pros

Honestly, it brings a lot to the table especially with its record-keeping features. The TAG partner addition has been a real plus and it's also nice to see that STS has been part of TP dating back to the early DOS days in the 1980s.

Cons

Integration with QuickBooks could be better. A few features people have asked for over time still haven't made it in. There's also the hassle of running separate non-licensed schedules when you're managing multiple boards.
