Pros

Using it feels a lot like working in a spreadsheet but with access to warehouse-scale data behind it. Day to day, I rely on it to slice and dice metrics, spot trends and quickly build views my teammates can use on their own without having to go back and forth with the data team.

Cons

During modeling workflows, it can feel a little limiting at times, especially when trying to enforce consistency across dashboard definitions. I've also run into some performance issues with very large tables and worksheets, where load times end up being longer than expected.

The way it presents large amounts of data makes it simple to review and draw conclusions because everything is displayed very clearly.

Loading can be slow at times and Sigma cards can also be fairly easy to break.

Pros

Working in it feels a lot like using a regular spreadsheet but it's connected to all of our data which makes it really approachable. I don't need to be a data expert to pull numbers together or build reports. The dashboards look clean and sharing them with the team is simple so everyone stays aligned on the same information. Setup was also very simple and the onboarding process was incredibly fast.

With very large data sets, it can occasionally take a while to load. I'd also like to see a bit more flexibility in some of the charting options.

Pros

Since bringing it into our firm, we've seen a noticeable improvement in how we handle day-to-day work. The biggest advantage has been how usable it is. Getting started was very simple, we deployed it quickly and it didn't require hours of training. Everyone on the team, from junior staff to more experienced members, adapted to it without much trouble. Another part I really appreciate is the customization. It can be adjusted to match our workflow and the features feel tailored to the way we operate. That flexibility has helped us put better processes in place organize our routines and boost overall productivity.

Cons

There are still a few areas where it could be better. Even though the software is very comprehensive some updates and newer features can take a while before they feel fully refined which can be frustrating at times. It would also help to have more responsive customer support since there have been situations where we had to wait longer than we would have liked to get an issue resolved.

It does a fantastic job of turning a huge dump of transactions into meaningful insights that actually tell a clear story.

A few workbooks can be slow to load which ends up creating some inefficiencies.

Pulling together data from multiple sources has been very simple which has been a real plus.

Putting dashboards together hasn't felt user-friendly and I've had to learn some indirect workarounds to get the results I want. A lot of the database knowledge I already have hasn't translated well when trying to build views and tables so I've had to spend time adapting to the way Sigma handles data.

Coming to this tool as someone who previously used other tools, I'm still fairly new to it but the transition has been positive.

It offers a wide range of features, especially for data visualization and sharing insights with stakeholders, while also covering the necessary security settings.

Keeping all my analytics in one place with it has been a big help. I use it every day to follow KPIs, check sales progress month over month and spot trends quickly. The HubSpot integration was fast and painless so getting everything implemented felt very simple. Their support team has been excellent as well, responsive, helpful and knowledgeable any time I've had a question. The interface is user-friendly which makes it simple to get to the insights I need without wasting time clicking through complicated menus.

Cons

There's not much to complain about though I do sometimes wish the dashboard offered more built-in customization for data visualizations without needing to export first. A few of the more advanced visualization adjustments take some extra setup but it hasn't really gotten in the way overall.

Loading reports can feel a bit slow and base-level users do not get much flexibility when it comes to adjusting or customizing reports.

There are tons of options and a wide range of stats to pull which I really appreciate. It helps us gather the kind of information that tells a clear story about what we're looking at so we can decide the best way to move forward.

The dashboard could be more user-friendly to navigate. At times, it doesn't load properly when I'm trying to choose group names and when I select all, it also includes Null which ends up showing no results.

Pros

The reporting options are really customizable which makes it simple to filter down and see the exact data I need. Since I use several reports every day, being able to quickly locate the ones I rely on most is a big plus. Collaboration is also very convenient, especially with features like seeing which reports are endorsed, when something was last accessed or updated and other helpful details.

Cons

I'm not a fan of how complicated it can be to customize and build data visuals like bar charts, graphs, fonts and colors. The platform also feels a bit slow at times, especially when downloading reports or waiting for data to load. I also wish some filters were more dynamic so I wouldn't have to keep selecting from a dropdown every single time.

Pros

Pulling reports and tracking KPIs for a whole department used to be really tedious. With it, that process is much simpler and my direct reports and I end up saving a lot of time and effort.

Cons

There are still times when the numbers don't pull correctly which leads to discrepancies.
