smooth and effective solution

Pros

The platform is simple to use from start to finish and it actually delivered results by bringing in several strong candidates. Because of that we were able to fill the open roles we had efficiently and with great hires. It proved itself not just as a tool but as a real solution.

Cons

I appreciated that their service performed exactly as promised. My only problem is that the subscription fees kept accruing even during periods when we weren't actively hiring.

Simplifies hiring

Pros

I love how it simplifies our whole hiring workflow. We can blast job postings to multiple boards in just a couple of clicks and let the AI sift through resumes which cuts down an enormous amount of time and manual sorting. Support is responsive and actually helpful when we've had questions. Since switching from only posting on Indeed, we've noticed significant cost savings and far fewer wasted ad dollars.

Cons

It is quite difficult for teams that have not used a system like this before so initially we had to spend some time getting everyone up to speed. That said after the first few hires the interface and features are smooth and it genuinely speeds up and improves our hiring process once you're comfortable with it.

actually works and saves money

Pros

AvaHR actually works. We've been able to hire far more quickly and at a much lower cost since we started using it. Before AvaHR I was spending hundreds of dollars handling recruitment myself so this has saved us both time and money.

Cons

We did experience any difficulty at the beginning but the AvaHR team was very responsive and guided us through the setup. They got us up and running with minimal downtime so we weren't left waiting.

Budget-friendly solution

Pros

I appreciate that I can publish a job across several sites from a single dashboard which ends up being much more budget-friendly for me.

Cons

Lately I've been frustrated because I keep getting applicants from outside the US. I wish there were settings to filter applicants on a per-job basis.

Picked a plan that fit

Pros

So far I am really happy that we were able to pick a pricing plan that fit our situation. Getting everything set up was simple and the portal is interactive to use. I also appreciate that we can keep candidate resumes stored in the system.

Cons

Honestly I can't think of a single thing I dislike about AvaHR at this point. We've been using it for just over a year now and it continues to meet our needs.

an excellent and simple tool

Pros

It is an excellent tool as it is genuinely simple to use, reliably quick and it truly makes recruiting feel easy. From posting jobs to reviewing applicants everything flows smoothly and efficiently saving time and reducing the usual friction in the hiring process. It has become a go-to for managing how we find and attract talent.

Cons

the one limitation I've run into is that the platform doesn't support uploading fillable PDF documents at this time.

delivers top candidates

Pros

Ava delivered some of my top candidates. I pay only a fraction of what I spend on other job sites and it delivers best results.

Cons

I honestly have absolutely no complaints about it whatsoever. Possibly it's because I'm extremely busy and rarely find time to dig into the platform. I simply know that my most qualified candidates consistently come through here.

big fan of the job tools

Pros

I am a big fan of how the job postings can be tailored , they're incredibly simple to set up. Another thing I appreciate is being able to blast those job ads to several channels at once with a single click.

Cons

There are not many negatives about AvaHR that bother me but one irritant is how often the platform prompts you to upgrade or pushes paid add-ons now every time I use it.

Organized posting

Pros

Well I like that I can publish a single job listing across multiple sites and I'm able to keep applicants organized and sift through candidates as they arrive.

Cons

When I pause or end a listing it doesn't disappear right away so for some time people still think the position is open and I'm getting calls from applicants trying to apply.

User-friendly solution

Pros

The interface is user friendly and I can tailor our hiring pipeline like adding a prescreen questionnaire, exactly how I need it.

Cons

I'm frustrated that I can't see how each applicant found us or which platform they used and candidates are still finding ways to apply without actually viewing the job ad.

simple and just what we needed

Pros

this ATS delivers everything I'd expect from an applicant tracking system. I'm aware it's not an HRIS and has its limitations but our organization is fairly small so we don't require a complex platform. I also didn't want to spend money on enterprise-level features we would never use so this simpler option suits us well.

Cons

the messaging inbox could be more useful and its a bit clunky.

quick to set up and operate

Pros

I really appreciated how simple it was to set up and liked that there are so many customization options. The platform is simple to operate , even my managers find it interactive.

Cons

My integration experience with LinkedIn and Indeed can be patchy at times and connections occasionally drop or get confused but my account manager always steps in and is very helpful.

very easy to use

Pros

It's simple to use and it was easy for me to get up and running, it's incredibly useful that I can publish the same job to several boards at once and the whole process is not overly complex.

Cons

whenever I change settings on a job posting, no matter how minor the tweak, VIVAHR has to re-review the posting before it goes live again.

messy candidate tracking

Pros

As the sole recruiter at a small organization it only takes me a few minutes to create job postings and watch applicants populate in the ATS so I don't have to wrestle with complicated posting flows. I can also tailor our pipelines to match our hiring process and easily disposition candidates as they move through stages. The fact that the ATS links to BambooHR was essential for our onboarding workflow and setting up that integration with VivaHR was smooth. My Account Manager is easy to get in touch with and is consistently helpful whenever I have questions about the product.

Cons

I often struggle with the search function. When I type a candidate's name, they sometimes don't appear in results because they've been dispositioned and I have to remember to flip filters to include those dispositioned candidates , it would be so much more convenient if they appeared by default. Another frustration is that VivaHR doesn't catch duplicate candidates so my account is cluttered with many repeated profiles. I'd prefer it to consolidate every application under a single candidate record instead of generating a new profile whenever someone applies for another role. That fragmentation makes keeping track of interactions and notes painful since I have to hunt through multiple profiles to find my previous comments on a person. On top of that, I feel hamstrung by the fact that I can't edit or delete notes once they're saved, being able to correct or remove entries would make tracking candidate history far cleaner and less error-prone.

Simple, effective and a constant flow
