“Customizable payroll software

Pros

This platform feels like my own payroll software. I can set up stat holiday rules, overtime, premiums and more. I enjoy building custom reports as much as using the pre-built ones. The real-time data helps me validate entries instantly and it feels so familiar that it's like a home I can customize.

Cons

I've seen limitations in the pre built net pay comparison report because it doesn't explain why employees don't get paid if there's no job status and the report designer doesn't let me compare two pay periods side by side.

I really like this tool because it feels like it's my payroll system. I can set up rules for holidays, overtime, premiums and everything else I need. It's nice that I can create my own reports but I also enjoy the pre built ones. this tool gives me real time data, like entitlements and time tracking and I can double check everything as I go. It's like having a friend that I trust and I can make it exactly how I want.

Cons

For me the pre built net pay comparison report feels limited. It doesn't show why some employees don't get paid because of missing job status and the report designer doesn't let me compare two pay periods side by side in columns.

I appreciate how easy Avanti is to use and how well the modules connect with each other. It feels user friendly and I look forward to exploring even more modules as we expand.

Since I've only been using this tool for about a year and a half, I still haven't experienced its full capacity. We're about to move to more paperless features and I'm genuinely excited to explore more.

The best part for me is how easy it is to use and how all the modules work together. It's user friendly and I'm excited to dive deeper into the other modules as we get more comfortable with it.

Since I'm still pretty new to it, I haven't used everything yet. I've only been on this tool for about a year and a half and we're just now moving into more paperless features. I'm honestly excited to see what else I can learn.

It has been the go to software of my company for 15 years and it's been consistently excellent. Whenever I've had issues, their support team has always been reliable and helpful.

It's really easy to use for me, especially when it comes to payroll processing.

Nothing major stands out as a problem for me. Support is only through email but I do find the replies quick and helpful.

For me, the simple platform and easy navigation stand out. Updates and communication are always timely and managing payroll and employee information has become much quicker. Moving to the cloud added even more convenience and I would definitely recommend it.

When I was getting it set up, it felt a little tricky. But once it was ready, using it became much easier.

Integration was really simple for me and they were hands on with support during the setup. Their CX support team is amazing, always quick to fix any issues of my team. The system is easy to learn, much simpler than other payroll systems I've used.

In my view, the performance management system would be a lot better if it could be customized more.

The ability to customize things to fit my needs is huge. With most other systems, I'd have to pay extra to get that level of flexibility. I can create the reports I need without relying on someone else to do it for me which saves us time and money.

Cons

The flexibility is there but I see it requires someone in house with strong technical skills. For us it works because we have that expertise but without our own technical person we wouldn't be able to do nearly as much just relying on this tool support. Honestly, our internal expert seems to know more about this tool than this tool itself.

I'd say the best parts are how customizable it is and how many tasks I used to do manually have been automated.

Cons

I've noticed support isn't as strong as it used to be. On top of that, we're now getting billed for things that used to come free.

It's super easy for me to use and navigate. The Client Care Team is really quick when responding to my tickets.

Cons

For me report building could use more detailed explanations, especially on where the data is coming from. It would also help if I could line up information from different modules on the same row in a report.

I find it so simple to use and the payroll calculations are always accurate for me.

Cons

When I release vacation pay in dollar amounts, the number of days doesn't change. I think the days should adjust automatically according to the amount paid.
