“Datis Keeps You Clocked In
Pros
Datis is the software my company uses for clocking in and out of work and tracking time. It serves as our digital timecard, and I must say it's incredibly efficient and user-friendly. The program at work is straightforward and easy to use, can't ask for more than that, right?
Cons
The only drawback I've encountered is that the mobile app frequently crashes. Almost every other day, I have to uninstall and reinstall the mobile app just to view my timecard. It's incredibly frustrating.

“High Quality HRIS Software
Pros
The position control function is unique compared to other products I have reviewed. It mimics the manual system we have used for years to ensure financial control and compliance with funders. The approval workflow and notification functionality have greatly improved our communication, especially for onboarding. Benefits electronic open enrollment is pretty easy for our staff and HR team.
Cons
I did like to see more features in the Learning Management area. This is the only "side" software that we have not been able to eliminate with e3s implementation. It would be great if Datis could add the capability to upload training materials (such as SCORM files and videos) and automatically track completion.

“10 out of 10
Pros
I find this software very user-friendly. It is easy to learn and use daily. If I have any questions, every team member is knowledgeable, professional, friendly and ready to help!
Cons
I cannot think of major real cons. There is one report I cannot generate on my own which would be easier if I could but the Datis team always emails it to me within 48 hours of my request!

“Datis is the best software choice we have ever made.
Pros
I like the position control, customer service and the complete process from application to hiring to payroll to third-party reporting. The setup process was worth every penny. Also questions, prompts, and insights made the product better for our agency.
Cons
I have no complaints. We have complex reporting requirements and Datis has been adaptable in helping us meet them.

“Fun, Easy
Pros
I like the payroll, org chart, position movement, assignment history, applicant tracking and open enrollment features.
Cons
The software does not track or pay mileage and does not allow much customization of site colors. However, these are minor issues.

“Desert AIDS Project satisfaction
Pros
After trying other employee-based HRIS systems, I found that Datis e3s position-based approach was exactly what we needed. It allowed HR and Finance to track which positions were requested, approved through workflows and filled. Managing our grant-funded positions became much easier with the effort reporting features.
Cons
Due to its functionality, resolving some issues sometimes requires phone calls with support, who may need to consult their developers. While this can be a bit cumbersome, it is also what makes e3 so adaptable to our specific needs.

“User Friendly HRIS
Pros
I find DATIS e3 user-friendly with helpful features like the Report Writer. The cloud-based system is fast and highly responsive. DATIS constantly introduces new features and has a responsive customer service team. Additionally, they offer many training opportunities, including their recent Summit.
Cons
I wish e3 offered more pre-built reports for annual compliance requirements (like OSHA Form 300A and EEO 1 Report). I also think the Executive Metrics features could be more comprehensive.

“A Government Compliant Time Keeping System
Pros
One of the systems standout features for me is its ability to help us stay compliant by setting up multiple projects where employees allocate their time. This is important for us since we receive federal funds and we need to track employees time by project code weekly. Being web-based, it is accessible from anywhere with an internet connection and the app works on smartphones. Our HR department configured it so that employees must enable location services when using the app to prevent fraudulent timekeeping.
Cons
I cannot think of any cons. We have been using the software for almost two years and it has significantly improved efficiency for our Finance team.

“Great product, Great team
Pros
e3 is the first HRIS I have used that successfully handles complex allocation sets while tying them to positions rather than individual employees. I like how customizable the platform is and how well it meets our organizations specific needs. The entire team, from customer support to development is dedicated to helping us maximize e3s benefits and collaborates with us to find the best solutions whenever needed.
Cons
I have noticed some limitations with e3 such as with the reporting tool, performance management tool and certain application management functions within the ATS. Although these features are functional and accomplish the tasks, they do have some limitations. Fortunately, these areas among others are scheduled for upgrades this year, and I am eagerly anticipating those improvements.

“Great HRIS that balances HR and Payroll Needs
Pros
Datis is a position-based system that simplifies the budget-building process and makes tracking productivity much easier. It features electronic "workflows" that reduce paperwork and maintain a digital record of employee/payroll and position changes. The organizational chart feature is very useful for supervisors as it provides a clear overview of their direct reports and access to various workflows. The ATS module integrates smoothly and greatly improves the onboarding process allowing all acknowledgements and new hire documents to be electronically signed and automatically saved in the employee's file.
Cons
While the pre-built reports are helpful, generating specific reports can be challenging because the Report Writer is not as user-friendly as it could be. Although the performance appraisal module is generally user-friendly, companies using 360-degree appraisals with multiple sections completed by different individuals (e.g., supervisor, employee, colleagues) might find the setup to be time-consuming and somewhat confusing.

Cons
I find the performance evaluations system to be a bit tricky, but I am excited about the new features that are coming out this year.

“It does a little bit of everything!
Pros
DATIS truly does it all. It handles recruiting, onboarding, employee tracking, payroll, performance evaluation and reporting. In simple words it is a comprehensive solution for large businesses.
Cons
Despite having almost unlimited features, the software can be somewhat confusing especially during setup. The Performance Evaluation tool is a prime example of this.

Pros
What I like most about the product is its user-friendliness and ease of navigation. The vendor is also very customer-focused, striving to meet the needs of the product users.

“Review of Datis e3
Pros
Datis e3 is user-friendly for both administrators and staff. It is intuitive and easy to navigate. This all-in-one software excels in HR and Payroll functions. I like how easy it is to use, understand and navigate. It allows us to store nearly all our HR information electronically, making the shift to a paperless filing system much smoother. DATIS e3 has tailored the software to fit our specific needs and requests.
Cons
While there are many excellent pre-built analyses, the ability to create custom reports could use some improvement.
