“profiles are outdated and incorrect
Pros
What I like are the suggestions for similar candidate profiles which give me a broader set of options when I run different searches. I also appreciate being able to hide candidates I've already looked at.
Cons
I feel like not many new features have been introduced over the past few years, it all feels stagnant. Often their profiles are outdated or incorrect and I wish they would update them more frequently.

“Best recruiting software
Pros
The ease of use and pre-built filters make it effortless to search for the best candidates efficiently.
Cons
It would be convenient to have the ability to send emails from LinkedIn directly. Currently, I have to copy/import them into LinkedIn and then email the candidates.

“auto Boolean search simplifies sourcing
Pros
For me this tool automatically fills in Boolean search strings which makes it feasible for everyone to use. I like the 'highlights' feature because it helps me narrow candidates by unicorn company and so on.
Cons
Email scraping isn't as reliable as other services I've used which is frustrating. I also don't like that there's a cap on the number of addresses you can extract. On top of that, I wish it integrated more smoothly with our ATS, Lever.

“effortless candidate outreach

Using it I'm able to reach out to candidates easily and without hassle.

“email tracking & automated follow-ups
Pros
One thing I really appreciate is being able to tell if someone opened my emails or clicked links. The "Track" area shows me where to invest my energy, when a person ignores email I'll try them on LinkedIn instead. I'm also saving a lot of time because the platform handles follow-ups for candidates so I'm not chasing people manually. It's the most effective tool I've used for revealing diverse candidates and that capability is the primary reason I'm such a fan
Cons
The UI could definitely be cleaner and easier for me to interpret. A candidate's page feels so cluttered that I stopped reviewing profiles inside the tool altogether. Too many emojis, mixed fonts and visual styles make my eyes glaze over and I can't quickly figure out what's important so I pull the person up here and then jump to LinkedIn to actually evaluate them. For whatever reason I seem to need things super tidy, maybe some form of ADHD and when an interface is messy I simply can't absorb it and I won't bother reading it, even though the underlying information is all useful. What frustrates me more is the lack of sorting when I send candidates to a hiring manager for review. Ideally I should be able to open a project and first filter by "reviewed," then sort by thumbs up versus thumbs down but instead I have to eyeball each response and manually take action. Because of that I stopped using this product for HM review and reverted back to LinkedIn which feels friendlier and much easier for my workflow. Now I end up using a hybrid approach, this tool plus LinkedIn but it would be so much better if projects supported sorting by status, like showing contacted candidates first. Right now I can tag someone as contacted but I can't sort by that tag which makes the projects feature almost useless for me. It would really help if the project functionality worked more like LinkedIn projects so I could take action faster and with less friction.

“Browser sourcing with engagement analytics
Pros
After twenty-five years working in recruiting I can honestly say I haven't found a better talent engagement platform than this one. Being able to run searches right from the browser plugin, effortlessly keep tabs on prospects, reach out and then review the engagement analytics gives me a tremendous sense of control. It removes so many blind spots and spares me from the heavy, repetitive data entry that usually comes with proactively sourcing passive candidates. Since they added the 'Send on behalf' capability and the interactive way hiring managers can review prospects, this product has become indispensable in my workflow. For me it's a must-have for creating a genuinely collaborative and actionable experience between hiring leaders and our recruiting teams.
Cons
One feature I find brilliant is the "request review" option that lets me invite colleagues who don't hold seats, other employees, hiring managers, executives, to weigh in without having to log in. The tool captures a simple thumbs-up/thumbs-down vote and that lightweight, no-login approach makes it way easier than chasing feedback in spreadsheets or shared docs. I had an exec tell me, "OMG, I did that in minutes and it is so much better than tracking in spreadsheets and docs!" The downside though, is that reviewers can't leave comments on each prospect. Getting hiring leaders to share more granular feedback, who they like and who they don't, is essentially our mission and this tool actually encouraged a C-level leader to want to provide that nuance but the system wasn't set up to accept it. Because of that limitation, the experience fell a bit short for us although I'm confident they'll address it. Overall the request-for-review flow is fantastic, once someone reviews a prospect it's recorded so I can quickly see what's already happened and who expressed interest. If they add the ability to leave comments or more detailed notes, it would turn this into an amazing collaboration game-changer.

“feasible D&I sourcing & campaigns
Pros
I appreciate being able to do D&I sourcing, it's really convenient and easy to use. SOBO campaigns, pulling emails and the Google plugin integrate nicely. The response percentage is great.
Cons
Saving templates through the plugin should be made simpler for me to use.

“automation with strong aTS integrations
Pros
Since 2013 I've relied on this platform. In the interim I've worked with LinkedIn Recruiter, Aevy, Gem, Hired, Vettery, Indeed Prime, Underdog.io and I've tried demos of many more. What keeps pulling me back is how well it automates tasks, lets me embed links easily, the strength of its diversity filters and smooth integrations with ATS like Greenhouse and Lever, plus the overall value and truly world-class support.
Cons
I'd really like to see more diversity filters added for other underrepresented communities, specifically LGBTQ people, individuals with disabilities and Native American candidates. I understand these options are likely on the roadmap but considering how much emphasis there is on workplace diversity right now, I wish they would roll out sooner rather than later.

“Multiple profile links aid research
Pros
Multiple links to each candidate's profile make reviewing prospects much easier and I find this tool very convenient for organizing research.
Cons
For me it doesn't display a candidate's full resume on a single page and I also can't tell if I've already looked at their profile.

“Drip campaigns automate follow-ups
Pros
Drip campaigns save a huge amount of time and I find automating follow-ups extremely efficient.
Cons
Personally the redesigned UI doesn't feel as simple to me as the previous version. I really miss being able to click the 'e' icon to quickly open and close the Chrome extension, that was much more convenient.

“Unified candidate footprints & filters
Pros
Candidate footprints are congreatated across platforms and I find the visual summaries, diversity attributes and strong filtering options make searches more tailored and insightful.
Cons
There are a ton of specialties and keywords to choose from but for some of the highly specialized aerospace roles I recruit for, I end up having to get creative and search for adjacent skills that don't perfectly match the job. I expect we'll get faster and smarter at that with practice. A couple of features I'd love to see improved, the ability to view all sent messages in one centralized place instead of only within each candidate's profile and enhancements to "Source Similar Candidates" so we can exclude specific companies from results or add custom keywords to narrow searches.

“Search tracking with chrome extension
Pros
Search and tracking capabilities simplify outreach and I find the Chrome extension, email alerts and Talent Insights extremely useful for strategic engagement.
Cons
My only real issue is that a number of profiles aren't kept up to date so they don't always reflect candidates who have moved roles recently.

“easy D&I search with follow-ups
Pros
D&I search and follow-up email features are simple and I find the platform very easy to use for daily sourcing tasks.
Cons
What frustrates me is that I can't pause all outgoing emails when I need to. For instance, over Christmas I'll have to manually open every single email, hunt down the ones scheduled to send during the holidays, disable them and then later locate each of those same messages again to reactivate them. That whole process feels really inefficient and time-consuming when I'd rather suspend everything at once.

“Global search with diversity filters
Pros
Natural-language searches and the global database offer unparalleled reach and I find diversity filters and unbiased sourcing especially helpful for inclusive hiring.

“automated follow-ups save time
Pros
Automated follow-up emails reduce manual effort and I find this feature saves a significant amount of time while keeping outreach consistent.
Cons
However there isn't an integration with LinkedIn messages so if I forget to pause the automated email follow-ups while I'm messaging a candidate on LinkedIn, they can still get an email that implies we haven't been in touch. That mismatch has led to a few awkward moments for me.
