inconsistent score report emails

Pros

When I served as the administrator for this product at a previous company, I inherited the tool from my predecessor but found it easy to modify and build new material. We mainly relied on it for pre-employment testing of job applicants. Beyond the built-in question sets across various topics, I could also insert custom questions that were more tailored to our particular company and industry.

Cons

A number of my managers raised complaints with me about not getting emailed score reports for their candidates. Rather than having individual 'seats' or 'licenses' for each hiring manager, there was one master administrator who generated and distributed the assessments to applicants. While the scores did appear in the portal, the feature to automatically email those results to the hiring managers was unreliable and didn't behave consistently.

Typing costs could be lower

Pros

It's easy to use and I appreciate the wide variety of test banks as well as how effortlessly I can customize tests.

Cons

I wish typing costs were lower particularly for users like me who need to make multiple attempts.

Responsive account managers, rich question pool

Pros

My account managers were fantastic to collaborate with, they responded to every question promptly and professionally. I found it easy to include the exact questions I needed for my tests and whenever something came up the staff behind this tool got back to me fast. The pool of test questions to pick from was extensive and aligned well with what our business requires.

Cons

I didn't encounter any issues with the software, I'm really pleased.

Supports wide skill sets

Pros

I'm glad the platform supports and assesses a broad array of skill sets so many different abilities can be included and tested.

Cons

Although it ended up costing more than I had budgeted, I still found the product to be genuinely useful and worth considering.

simple, great tests, detailed results

Pros

Extremely convenient to use. An outstanding collection of tests. Comprehensive result breakdowns. We've been really happy with this tool's customer support.

Cons

Self-service portal, score breakdowns

Pros

it's great thatself-service portal lets us tailor the questions to our needs. I also like that I can see detailed breakdowns of each test-taker's scores. The software is really easy to use, with just a few clicks, the test is on its way to the participant.

Cons

Honestly I find it's not set up well for automatic payments, the automated billing features feel poorly implemented and inconvenient.

simple, flexible assessments, clear reports

Pros

We were searching for a better way to evaluate our candidates and this tool has been fantastic, it's really simple to use and I can easily change the assessments as needed. The reports it produces are helpful and easy to understand.

Cons

The only feature I'd love to see added is the ability to update assessments directly instead of having to create brand new versions every time.

easy test assignment

Pros

I really like how convenient the layout is, it makes it so easy for me to assign the right assessments to candidates based on the job they're aiming for and sending tests feels effortless.

Cons

One feature I wish it had is the ability to reorder saved tests because then I could put my most-used assessments at the top instead of having to scroll through a long list of saved items every time which would save me time and frustration given how many saved tests we currently have.

Tracks skills and training needs

Pros

When we first brought this product on board, we intended it to give us crucial insight into applicants' computer abilities. Today, we rely on it across our entire hiring process and for much of our training. It helps us set a baseline, pinpoint where training is needed and measure how well people understand the material.

Cons

The software comes with a great selection of assessments but I sometimes wish the default library included more items tailored to specific industries, there are occasions when I'm looking for very particular, sector-focused questions that aren't part of the standard set.
