“Interactive interface
Pros
What I like most about Greenhouse is the user interface. It's really easy to navigate, making it super userfriendly for everyone who uses it.
Cons
What I like least about Greenhouse is that sometimes information doesn't display correctly. While it's a small technical error, it still remains our preferred choice.

“A well-rounded and fully developed recruiting tool
Pros
It's a complete and established solution for managing recruiting funnels and it's really effective for coordination between HR and other involved departments.
Cons
The UI isn't the most easiest for newcomers. Some routine operations require a lot of clicking around which slows things down when processing a high number of applicants.

“Greenhouse has been a letdown for busy recruiters
Pros
It's hard for me to list any pros, honestly. Greenhouse has been one of the worst ATS products I have ever used. We bought into the hype and signed a 2 year deal but we have got major buyer's remorse. If I had to say something nice, I guess the basic features like knockout questions and email templates are on par with other products.
Cons
Greenhouse has several issues, including: It doesn't support posting statewide remote jobs for healthcare companies, limiting visibility to specific cities. Self scheduling lacks rules, allowing candidates to book any available slot with no buffers. Managing availability for multiple candidates is a nightmare as Greenhouse doesn't allow you to offer a set number of slots to candidates, unlike other ATSs. Candidate management is cumbersome, with resumes and application questions buried behind extra clicks and no way to easily track who's been invited to interview versus who's scheduled. There's no master pipeline view so managing multiple states means having separate pipelines for each state, which is inefficient. Implementation doesn't include a specialist assigned to your account. You are left attending open office hours with others and relying on a chat feature that isn't very helpful.

“Greenhouse is the answer for streamlined hiring
Pros
There's a lot to like about Greenhouse, but the most impactful aspect for me is the reporting. I've used several ATS systems throughout my career and Greenhouse stands out with its data and analytics. Whether you're in Talent Acquisition, HR or a Hiring Manager, the source data and custom reports allow you to pull actionable insights and trends throughout the recruiting and hiring process.
Cons
The time to acclimate new users can be long due to the various customizations and the amount of information available.

Pros
I took on a new role at a growing company and needed a solution to assist with all the tasks. Greenhouse has been a huge time saver and helps me stay organized. I find it extremely user-friendly and their customer service is great. The task reminders are also super helpful.
Cons
I've been very pleased with Greenhouse but I think there could be some automation or development added to the email function, like being able to see all activity, such as accepting calendar invites.

“No ATS has impressed me more than Greenhouse
Pros
My experience with Greenhouse has been amazing. By far, it's the best ATS I have used in my career. I really love how userfriendly it is. It helps me day to day as a recruiter because everything is centralized and it makes collaboration with people really easy.
Cons
The way we pull reports could be optimized. It takes too long to create reports and that's the only thing I'd mention here.

Pros
My experience with Greenhouse has been consistent. Even though they evolve to keep up with trends, they stay true to their original commitment of ease of use and a lack of bugs. They stay on top of any glitches.
Cons
It doesn't update very often and isn't optimized for mobile unless you have the app.

Cons

The layout is simple to use. Marking and managing leaves, data collaboration and digital signatures are a breeze. Timely reminders for company events and tracking opportunities for referred candidates are also helpful.

Everyone I've worked with in Talent Acquisition across three different companies loves Greenhouse. However a product this powerful requires a reasonable investment in proper implementation. As far as I'm concerned, it's the top recruitment software platform in the Talent Acquisition market.
Cons
The self implementation provided by the sales staff was inadequate for our needs.

I really appreciate that Greenhouse is actively building a product that lets Talent Acquisition professionals use their skills rather than relying on AI. There are so many helpful features that help mitigate bias and we find it easy to share and use this platform with our hiring managers.
Cons
Greenhouse continues to innovate, but not as quickly as other companies. It's not a huge negative but they're always willing to help find solutions.

“A reliable applicant tracking system
Pros
There are very rarely any outages, maybe once in the last 3 years I've been using it. I like being able to email candidates, schedule interviews, post jobs, etc all from one main source of truth.
Cons
It can be disjointed and not always logical. For example the new notes section about duplicate profiles or candidate warnings is hidden in a tab on the bottom, instead of being automatically visible when you open a candidate's profile.

Greenhouse is simple and easy for hiring managers and recruiters to use. I love the automated reminders for feedback and other tasks as well as the automatic posting on job boards.
Cons
I wish we could post to more job boards more easily and that remote/hybrid options and salary transparency rules were more customizable.
