“Perfect for for payroll management”
Pros
As someone who began using Gusto without prior payroll management experience I found it incredibly easy to use. It simplifies the process of paying employees tracking payment history and distinguishing between different types of employment arrangements.
Cons
In my experience with Gusto over approximately a year I have encountered very few technical issues all promptly addressed by their support team.

“The Payroll Software for any Business Size”
Pros
Implementing Gusto has significantly improved our business operations particularly in managing payroll and other HR services. We faced challenges with payroll management and received complaints from employees before adopting Gusto. Since then complaints have decreased resulting in time and cost savings as well as increased employee satisfaction.
Cons
Leave management in Gusto could use some enhancements particularly in navigating through the software for short-duration leaves.

“super user-friendly gusto payroll”
Pros
Feels genuinely user friendly which is a big reason I've stuck with it. I've tried a few other payroll platforms and this one has been the easiest to navigate and manage day to day.
Cons
Pricing could be a bit lower since you're paying for the company's built in organization and features.

“Easy to handle”
Pros
Really handy and simple to use. The online payroll feature is the key highlight for me and it genuinely feels great for handling payroll without much hassle.
Cons
Some people seem to get overly dependent on it since it makes life easier. It can also hang or get stuck occasionally especially when there's a lot of traffic at the same time.

“Gusto is great”
Pros
Using it has been a real win for our team. It's simple to manage from both the employer side and the employee side. Employees can clock in and out right from a smartphone app and several of them have mentioned they prefer it over other time tracking tools they've used with past employers. I also had no trouble connecting my CPA to Gusto so he can keep an eye on the tax and accounting items. Also, it automates employee onboarding which cuts down a lot of the busywork and makes the setup process far simpler than it would be otherwise. Overall, the product does what it's supposed to do, feels adaptive and stays efficient day to day.
Cons
The one limitation I've noticed is that it doesn't integrate as smoothly with 401(k) contributions. I have to manually send our financial advisor the 401(k) contribution details for employee elective deferrals. It's not a deal breaker and not really a big problem, just a small extra step.

“Excellent software”
Pros
Everything about it feels modern, quick and responsive. Bringing new employees and contractors on board is handled smoothly so the process doesn't drag on. When we need support, their customer service team is quick to respond and actually helpful. We also run our payroll through it... managing taxes, contractor payments and employee benefits all in one place. It's become a go to tool for our HR needs and it's been very reliable with very few, if any, issues. We can track employee working hours directly in the system which means we've stopped doing it manually. That saves a lot of time and prevents human mistakes.I also appreciate the small HR touches, like reminders for staff birthdays and work anniversaries. It helps us stay consistent without relying on someone to remember. Adding employee data is simple and fast and the UI is organized in a way that employees seem to enjoy. They can quickly view things like hours worked and the number of sick leaves without confusion.
Cons
No real downsides to call out.. it has consistently delivered for our business.

“Amazing UX”
Pros
User experience is genuinely solid and the platform feels simple to navigate. Employees actually enjoy using it and it delivers useful insights across payroll, benefits and time off.
Cons
Some workflows still need more thought and development. The performance management process, in particular, isn't fully dialed in yet and would benefit from being refined to fit different organizations and structures.

“Digital One-Stop Shop”
Pros
Once implemented, it couldn't be simpler to use. I particularly like the display on direct deposit day, where you can easily see your pay, tax deductions, and 401k contributions. It streamlines the tax process to have everything visible in one place. It's also easy to request time off and track accruals.
Cons
Adding projects for team members isn't seamless. Teammates often need to remind admins if they've been left off a project. While we haven't had much interaction with customer service (which is a positive), when they do reach out, it's usually to upsell new features and they don't seem receptive to feedback regarding the product or bug fixes.

“quick setup and startup-friendly payroll”
Pros
Setup and day to day use feel simple and the overall customer experience is pretty simple to navigate. It also seems to be a go to option for a lot of startup companies which makes it a comfortable choice when you're trying to move fast.
Cons
That said, it doesn't cover everything you might expect from some competing platforms so there are feature and functionality limitations compared to other options.
