“Easy to use”

Pros

Feels very approachable and the user interface is clean and simple to work with. Everything is laid out in a way that makes day-to-day tasks quick to figure out.

Cons

Support was the only letdown... when I tried to reach the support team, I couldn't get through or make a call.

“Loved it”

Pros

As an employee, I really like it. It makes it simple to keep track of my PTO and sick days and it also shows what's coming up with my paycheck. At the end of each tax year, getting my W2 is simple too.

I honestly can't think of anything I dislike about this software.

It covers the basic functions well but there's not much beyond that to genuinely enjoy.

Customer service has been a serious problem for me. When I needed help from their tax support specialists, the wait time was consistently around 6-8 weeks. There also isn't a practical way to get a supervisor or even reach a tax support person by phone. It feels like they don't put much effort into keeping customers and the lack of responsiveness is making us rethink our setup. We're planning to move our business because we can't risk running into trouble with tax agencies due to Gusto not getting back to us.

The product felt simple to use and the integration process came with simplified software which made setup less of a hassle.

Cons

Downside was that it didn't give much control or access to the quarterly tax reporting functions which became a real limitation for my workflow.

“Excellent!”

Pros

It's simple to use as an employee. Paystubs show up clearly and I can easily tell where my money is going. Each paystub is detailed too though the layout/content feels pretty much the same from one check to the next.

Cons

There isn't much I genuinely dislike since I don't use the site that often. The only real hiccup I've run into is that there's no dark mode and my dark mode Chrome extension makes the website look a bit wonky.

Pros

Setup was simple and it's been simple to manage from a staffing point of view. My team can also access their tax documents without any hassle which has saved a lot of time. Overall, it's been a really smooth fit for what we needed.

Nothing comes to mind... this is genuinely a great product.

Initial setup felt like a snap and payroll tracking was simple. Bonuses and PTO were also simple to keep an eye on. When tax season rolled around, it was easy to locate the right forms and everything had already been calculated for me so the whole process took way less time.

Nothing really stood out as a flaw on my end though a couple employees mentioned it was a little confusing for them.

This product has been really simple to use and their customer support team has been excellent whenever we've needed help.

There are multiple ways to import data which is helpful at first glance. That said, the setup becomes a headache whenever the information doesn't fit their standard format.

To get nonprofit details entered turned into a near back-and-forth process where their support team had to make changes on the backend. Also, expect delays, weeks aren't unusual because it's hard to reach anyone directly. Support replies come in through emails tied to a case number that often feel like they disappear and when days passed without progress I reached out to our salesperson, only to be told to stop emailing her and that my questions needed to be routed to support. Overall, it couldn't handle our payroll scenarios for multiple small nonprofits with unique tax requirements which was extremely frustrating.

Setup was fast and simple and it has everything you need to run your HR and payroll functions without juggling multiple tools. The included resources make it simple to get started and stay on track.

Cons

It's a strong option overall for small businesses, with most of the setup and support that new teams typically need.

It feels really user-friendly particularly for team members who don't come from a payroll background. Customer support is also consistently easy to reach and genuinely helpful, every single time I've needed assistance.

When the system gets updated or changes are rolled out, we don't always find out until we're already working inside the app. It's a minor issue but it can make it a bit tricky to locate items that have been moved around on the dashboard or within the menu.

This is a really handy piece of software and it lets you access the same options across multiple devices. The flexibility of using it on different setups is a big plus and everything feels consistent.

One snag we've run into is that direct deposit processing can take a couple of days. It would also be nice to have training videos to speed up onboarding. Finally, the pricing structure doesn't fit well for paying an hourly rate plus commission.

This software really helps both employees and admins keep tabs on payroll and run it without headaches. Tracking pay activity and getting payroll processed feels simple which saves a lot of time.

The interface is pretty simple but I still need to put in some extra self study to fully use the Enterprise system's full capacity.

Only thing that feels a bit off is the price, it can be pricey... but it's still worth it and it honestly compares better than most other software apps I've tried.
