“Color-coded shifts are truly fantastic”
Pros
One thing I really love is being able to organize employee positions by color which makes the schedule much clearer at a glance. It's also really convenient for employees to pick up and cover shifts for each other. Another feature I appreciate is that after every shift, it shows the average pay for the week which is very helpful.
Cons
Honestly there isn't a single thing I dislike. I have been happy with everything this program offers.

It's very easy to use which helps us save a lot of time.
Cons
Its settings could be a bit more flexible since they feel somewhat too basic right now.

“Shift tracking app comes handy”
Pros
Using this app has not been a hassle. It keeps me updated on when my next shift starts and even shows how many hours are left before I need to be there. Also it is quick to pull up my schedule for the current week, the following week or even the previous one.
Cons
The only thing I don't like is that it requires a paid subscription to use. It doesn't affect me directly as a user but the company still has to pay for it.

“Scheduling and timeclock work wonderfully”
Pros
Scheduling with it is a breeze and making changes to the schedule is just as simple. The mobile app makes it really convenient to share schedules and messages with the team so nobody can claim they didn't know they were supposed to work. The time clock also works far better than the system we used before.
Cons
At this point I am not really sure. I probably need to spend more time using the rest of the features.

“Month-view scheduling stays clean”
Pros
Right away the month view schedule stood out to me. Setting up shifts is easy and being able to add employee preferences makes scheduling work much better.
Cons
There really isn't much to complain about. I did need to watch the YouTube video at first but once I did, everything clicked and made a lot more sense.

“Reliable access on every device”
Pros
Honestly I love just about everything about this software. One thing that really stands out is that even if the internet goes down, we can still get into it. It also works on a computer, tablet or phone so there's really no reason to keep using old handwritten time cards anymore.
Cons
The only thing I'd want is a bit more customization for my own preferences and for the business overall.

“Scheduling templates provide helpful guidance”
Pros
Having a reusable template for open shifts is really useful. I can apply it to the week and then drag and drop shifts onto employees which makes building the schedule much faster. That part does need to be done on a computer but the auto-scheduling tool is still a decent starting point when putting the schedule together even if it cannot fully handle everything on its own.
Cons
I'd really like to see more user role options beyond just owner, manager and employee especially with better control over who can view certain information. The auto-schedule feature also still needs work since it can assign people to doubles or even schedule them at multiple locations at the same time. They've definitely improved the platform over the years but sometimes it feels like too much attention goes into adding new features instead of fully refining the ones that already exist.

“simple scheduling fits smaller teams”
Pros
It is a lot like working in an Excel spreadsheet, just with a cleaner and more stripped-down setup. There really aren't that many tools like this available and most alternatives seem built for managing hundreds of employees. This one clearly is designed with smaller businesses and crews in mind and the interface is simple and comfortable to use.
Cons
Printing was the biggest headache early on. Getting the schedule printed directly from the program was frustrating at first and sharing the completed schedule with others wasn't much better. Since then though the integrations have become more decent and there are now more formatting options available.

“Payroll helper saves precious time”

“daily view helps”
Pros
If all you need is scheduling and a clear day to day view, this software works really well. There's also the option to upgrade and pay for more detailed tracking and analytics if you want those extra features.
Cons
The limitation is that the copy-and-paste scheduling has to be done before the week begins. If not, you end up entering the schedule manually for each employee.

“Overtime settings locked outside country”
Pros
Once I realized the platform is built around U.S. labor laws and expects everyone else to pay more just to customize it so it works properly, I really couldn't find anything positive to say about it.
Cons
Its overtime settings are locked unless you move up to the $40/month plan. That might be acceptable for businesses in the U.S. but it shows very little consideration for users in other countries. It doesn't feel fair to make customers pay extra just to adjust OT settings for timesheet tracking when labor laws aren't something a business gets to choose. That should be a basic setting available at no extra cost especially when it's completely outside our control. Don't waste your time getting everything set up and getting used to the system like I did because you may end up searching for a different time tracking company anyway, just like I am.

“HR support covers everything”
Pros
Homebase covers a wide range of what a small business owner needs from an HR perspective so it feels like a very complete solution.
Cons
One thing I'd still like to see is more flexibility in how the week is set up. Right now it runs Monday through Sunday and it would be helpful to customize that to Sunday through Saturday instead.

Pros
The thing that stands out most for me is how easily I can request time off, check when I'm working next or reach someone on my team. Nothing feels dragged out and everything loads fast.
Cons

Pros
Homebase is easy to use and the interface is very user friendly. Employees can download it quickly and understand how to use it without much trouble.
Cons
