Love the built-in analytics

Pros

I love the built-in analytics because they show me what's effective. The platform is also simple to operate and just as easy to teach to others.

good first year price but complex

Pros

The price is good for the first year but it goes down after that.

Cons

It does take a fair amount of time to learn the system if you are bringing others into it as there are quite a few steps. However once you get the hang of it, it works fine.

Applicant tracking is easy to use

Pros

I use the applicant tracking feature the most. It makes it easy to create referral links that connect applicants directly back to you. I also like that there are several ways to share a job and that it gives you data on which posts perform best. Plus applicants move through stages making it simple to see their status. Though I am not in HR so I have not seen all of its functions but from a hiring manager's view, this product definitely does what it's supposed to!

Cons

The layout can be a little hard to get used to. Some buttons are in spots I would not guess and there are several ways to do the same task which causes confusion. Plus they recently updated their login for better security which is good but it is still not very smooth. When you get logged out, the page does not send you to the right login screen so I keep having to type in the correct web address manually.

Search function works the best

Pros

What I liked most here is posting jobs and keeping the database. The search function is also very easy. Overall all the features are very good.

Cons

I dont really have anything to list here. Overall it is an excellent tool for networking. The response time is also very quick.

Complete solution for hiring needs

Pros

Jobvite is a complete solution for all your hiring and employment needs. It also offers different tools like HR/payroll, time tracking, onboarding, recruiting, surveys and a community to keep everything organized and easy to find. With this all in one system, we feel confident that every part of our business is managed carefully and professionally.

Cons

It often makes updates that mess up the way people are used to doing things. Sadly customers usually are not told about these changes which causes problems for both employees and employers. I believe they should send out alerts about updates and provide instructions.

Love custom status, interface is not the best

Pros

What I love about it is being able to customize the status for each candidate and job opening. It can also send automatic messages to candidates which is a nice feature.

Cons

The design of the interface could be better. I do not find it particularly easy to use. Also from what I remember, it did not connect well with our other systems. So overall there are definitely a lot of features they need to improve.

Easy to use candidate flow

Pros

It is easy to use. Also the candidate flow is simple and makes sense and it's always pretty clear where to find things. Communicating with candidates inside the system worked well too and pushing jobs to job boards was good.

Cons

Generating reports was not as simple as I expected it to be. Searching the database to find specific resumes was not simple either.

weak on reports and tracking

Pros

I learned how to use it fairly fast. There is not a huge amount to learn if you are not getting into reports and analytics so getting up to speed is relatively simple.

Cons

The tools for reports and data analysis are weak and the system for tracking candidates and applicants is below average.

simple, logical system we're satisfied with

One thing I really do like is how simple and logical the system is. That's a definite advantage. Yes a few things could be better but overall we are satisfied.

Cons

My main problem is the customer service. We had a great, informed salesperson before. But then we were assigned a project manager who mainly just forwarded emails and took days to reply. He was not a real PM as this person refused to collaborate. After setup, we got a representative who does reply to emails but it takes 3 to 4 days which is not good service. So overall I am very unhappy with the client support. On top of that, it is now been 3 months and we still have to keep our old applicant system running because they have not uploaded our old resumes. There is no completion date in sight and no apology. The customer care chat agents are kind but extremely slow as it takes about a week to get an answer. This is definitely their weak point.

Pros

The ability to evaluate several applicants at once and oversee their progress through the hiring stages is something I like about this tool.

Cons

Well the scheduling and appointment tool is very hard to understand.

Easy to locate all information

Pros

All the necessary information is already easy to locate on the homepage. Navigating and handling your referrals is not a problem too with this software since updates about candidates and jobs are visible using the search bar filters.

Cons

None so far but I wish the main page was more visual and creative, with things like color coding, since the software relies mostly on text.

Excellent for tracking candidates

Pros

I used this when I worked in recruiting. It was excellent for tracking candidates and finding good resumes among the hundreds we got daily. It could even send rejection messages but at the time maybe this has changed it could not schedule one for later. Our usual practice was not to reject someone right away, even if their resume clearly did not meet our specialized requirements. That was the main area needing improvement. Otherwise it worked well and made our recruiting jobs easier.

Cons

It used to not allow you to schedule a rejection note to be sent later but maybe that is different now?

Easy to use but company is going downhill

Pros

One thing I liked is how easy it was to use, how simple it was to train new people on the system and the automatic job posting feature. I used to like it much more but I will talk about that in later comments.

Cons

The new features never function properly and only create issues. The customer service is possibly the worst I have ever dealt with in my professional life. Plus the prices go up without any improvement in service. I would say the company is clearly going downhill as they only focus on buying other companies instead of building a system that works.

search tool is good

Pros

I often used the search tool, notes and messaging. Plus being connected to my email was great because I could reply directly within Jobvite. The notes feature was key for internal communication and leaving observations for other recruiters. The search bar was one of my most-used features whenever I remembered a candidate's name and could type it in to find them.

Cons

I missed the favorite button that let me save certain candidates. I was hiring for an entry-level role with many applicants. Not all should move to the resume review stage but I wanted to save the ones I liked for possible reconsideration later.

A well-known applicant tracking system

Pros

Jobvite has become a well-known applicant tracking system for recruitment, from tracking applicants to managing employee data. Plus it offers a complete set of tools covering everything from finding candidates to hiring and tracking.

Cons

As an applicant tracking system, i feel like it could do a better job at actually tracking applicants. The candidate database is okay but needs frequent updates to stay useful.

Pros

I love that it is easy for my company to track referrals back to me so when it is time for referral bonuses, I do not have to ask HR who I referred. Plus once you learn the system, sending a referral is really simple too and they give you many ways to refer someone like a link, a LinkedIn post, etc.

Cons

It does require some time to learn how to send a job invite for one specific role versus a group of different roles.

Easy but fairly basic product

Pros

Jobvite was easy to use but it is also a fairly basic product. I think it is better for smaller companies that are not expanding very quickly.

Cons

It was not simple for scheduling interviews. It also did not have scorecards you could fill out and submit based on interview feedback.
