“Outstanding support !!
Pros
Honestly their customer service is just the best as I've never gotten such good help from any other online company period. They're responsive, genuinely caring and actually solve problems instead of just going through the motions.
Cons
A few of the setup steps like linking my bank account and entering my state tax IDs, were not super clear. But honestly it was not a huge deal because every time I got stuck I just called and instantly got someone knowledgeable on the phone.

“great value and smooth payroll
Pros
I love how easy the system is to use and you really get a lot for your money. My employees tell me the portal is super simple too. This year everyone had their W-2s by January 15th just by grabbing them online, didn't have to buy a single stamp!
Cons
Nothing, actually! Everything is pretty easy and self-explanatory. I also love managing all the reports and how easy everything is to access.

Pros
Whenever I've had to call about end-of-year 401k stuff or handling bonus checks the customer service team has been great.
Cons
A couple of things slipped through the cracks for me like with unemployment and paid family medical leave. I was just kind of unclear whether that was on me or you guys to handle.

Pros
Getting new hires set up is very easy and if I have a question, customer service answers super fast. The software itself is just really easy to use.
Cons
I wanted to use it to pay my subcontractors but when I looked into it the cost for that was a bit too high for me at the time.

Pros
The website is really user-friendly and their customer support has saved me from a few messes over the years.
Cons
Nobody told me I could run 1099s through it too which would have saved me from doing them by hand. I know now at least!

“Flawless payroll solution
Pros
It's so easy to use and a fantastic value. We run payroll every week and have never, ever had a problem.
Cons
I really wish it was easier to pull up year-to-date payroll info for each employee. As far as I can tell there's not actually a year-to-date page which is a bummer.

customer service team really knows their stuff. they are always ready to help, you barely wait on hold and they actually call you back if they can't fix your issue right away.
Cons
sometimes searching for specific reports like old payroll checks takes a little digging. But honestly with a bit of searching you can usually find them.

For our small company the value is great and processing payroll is very simple. The reports are super detailed and it's really easy to find your way around.
Cons
I honestly have not found anything wrong with it yet! Every report, every feature, everything I've needed even after updates has been super easy to use.

It is just so simple to use. Their customer support is fantastic, too and they are quick to respond and always get it right.
Cons
It could use a little face-lift to their User Interface. It looks a little dated but the functionality is definitely all there where it counts.

Pros
Great value!! The customer support is great and while it's easy to use on my end.... if I do get stuck they are right there to help. It's also good for my employees, they can handle their own stuff which gives them some responsibility. Honestly I have not run into any bugs or issues at all.
Cons
Honestly I can't think of any real cons. My only tiny complaint is that some employees might need to go back to school to learn how to read.. because no matter how many times you tell them they are responsible for their own login info, they still don't get it!

“easy payroll for small staff
Pros
It is easy to use. I only have a small staff so I can usually knock out payroll in just a few minutes. I actually inherited this system when I started a few months ago and when I needed to figure out how to track PTO, it was super easy to figure out on my own.
Cons
The final submit button is way too easy to miss. I overlooked it when I first started and had no idea I had not actually submitted the payroll until the next week. It was a stressful mistake!

Pros
I find it simple and cost-effective. Also the customer service is excellent! I also just think it's cool learning about the company and supporting a fellow U.S. business.
Cons
We are only a few months in but honestly no complaints yet! If I had one tiny wish it would be to have the payroll schedule in a more obvious spot so I can quickly double-check upcoming dates. But I have not even tried the autopay feature yet so that might already solve that for me.

Pros
their customer support is just exceptional. I really can't praise the team enough. They respond fast, they fix things fast and I love that I usually see the same familiar names when I chat in.
Cons
I really wish employees could completely self-onboard without me having to do anything. That minor point aside there is not much I don't like about Patriot Software.

Pros
interface is pretty smooth and easy to understand. But where Patriot really shines, in my opinion, is the customer service. Every single time I've called (and I've called a lot!) someone answers within a minute or two and my question or issue is resolved just a moment later. They are just that good.
Cons
Not a huge fan of using their built-in search to find help articles. Honestly I've found it's easier to just Google my question and the Patriot help page with the answer pops up anyway.

Pros
It's friendly and simple to use. The price feels fair too, maybe a tiny bit more than some others but definitely not too expensive for what you get.
Cons
Hmm probably the fact that it doesn't integrate with other 401k providers, just the one they're partnered with.

Pros
Their customer support is excellent, immediate, professional and actually helpful. We use it for payroll and I love that they just added a schedule payroll feature. It makes paying both employees and contractors at the same time really easy.
Cons
I really wish it would integrate with QuickBooks Online. It would also be great if my contractors and hourly people could just log in and enter their own hours directly.

Pros
Great customer service and it just makes managing payroll so much easier. I'd highly recommend it to any small business owner who wears a million hats and does not have time to become a payroll tax expert.
Cons
The change of address feature is a bit buggy. When I moved it didn't update all the spots where my address was saved so I had to go find a few manually.

Pros
It's a really powerful, feature-rich payroll software. Since it's cloud-based, I can work from anywhere and setting up awards and payroll rules was so easy.
Cons
Just a heads-up for anyone using it, make sure you double-check the penalty rules to be certain everything is compliant with the relevant award. It's good to verify.

Pros
So easy to use and the customer support is outstanding. I always get my questions answered right away. Everything is automated so I never have to stress about filing reports or calculating taxes.
Cons
I really don't have any cons. The only tiny thing is I wish printing a simple check stub for an employee was a little more simple. But to be fair, there's probably an easy way to do it that I just have not figured out yet.
