“secure onboarding”

Pros

From an employee's perspective, this platform is very easy to use. I used it myself during the hiring process and it was simple to navigate while entering information securely.

Cons

Once the initial setup is done, employees may not come back to it often and can easily forget about it. It might be more useful if it were better integrated into regular workflows so people would use it more consistently.

Getting to my biweekly paychecks is quick and convenient which makes the software really useful for staying on top of my income.

Cons

Haven't run into any issues with the software for the way I use it.

Clocking in and out is really easy and being able to keep track of my hours throughout the week is what I appreciate most.

Cons

The part I like least is that if I'm inactive for thirty minutes, it logs me out and I have to sign back in again.

It's really convenient to use and helps cut down on paperwork. I had actually used this before while working under another company.

One thing I didn't realize was that the account needs to be transferred so it can be set up under our company's name. Since I wasn't aware of that at first, I'll need to go back and update it.

“Huge time saver”

Pros

Processing payroll with this has been a huge time saver for me. My favorite feature is how timecards are entered automatically when employees clock in and out so I no longer have to sit there calculating hours myself. Running payroll is incredibly fast and pulling all the reports I need is just as simple. I also love that employees can log in and access their own pay stubs which means fewer interruptions and less time spent helping with those requests.

Tracking time and hours is really convenient. You just log in, click through a couple of steps and you can quickly record whatever hours you need to keep track of.

Cons

At this point, everything has been working well for us. We haven't come across anything we dislike yet but of course that could change later on.

“Schedule sharing is handled well”

Pros

Using this software has been pretty simple. It makes clocking in and out simple and requesting time off is convenient. Sharing schedules with others is also handled really well.

Cons

Customer support could definitely be better. There are times when it takes them quite a while to respond to post sale issues and resolve challenges.

Honestly, there is nothing about it that I enjoy. The processes feel overly complicated, take far too much time and sometimes turn into endless circular steps that go nowhere.

Using it is frustrating because it is hard to navigate and seems to keep changing all the time. On top of that the help feature is useless since it just gives canned, irrelevant computer generated responses instead of actual support.

“handy across multiple locations”

Pros

Having the add on app made this a really useful tool to use across multiple locations. Deployment was quick and employees got comfortable with the features within just a few days of the rollout.

Cons

A few employees did mention that the app felt somewhat buggy at first although later updates seemed to address those issues.

I really do not like this program and wish my agency had gone with a different option.

The clock in feature is extremely buggy and the mobile app is basically useless.

Getting around this software is pretty easy which has made day to day use pleasant. I've also had a very positive experience working with my current payroll account manager.

Cons

From time to time, glitches pop up and create problems with payroll deductions. Because of that, it's really important to double or even triple check the printed copy before submitting every payroll.

Whenever something went wrong which was nearly every payroll cycle and also happened with the recruitment module, the sales team was usually responsive and helpful in getting back to us.

Cons

It was oversold and never really delivered on what we were promised. We paid extra for recruitment and onboarding but neither of those features ever functioned properly. On top of that the sales team ended up rushing printed employee handbooks and manually entering new hires because the self service module simply didn't work.

Using this software has been a big help for processing payroll and bringing new employees onto our team. It really takes a lot of the hassle out of payroll and makes the whole process feel much less complicated.

Cons

There can be a bit of a learning curve for someone using it for the first time but other than that I really do not have any major complaints about it.

Right from the start, the software feels very user friendly and easy to navigate. Nothing is buried or hard to understand and the layout is clear and concise enough that people can use it without needing much guidance.

Cons

Up to this point, I haven't run into anything that felt challenging or confusing. The platform really seems to offer everything a small business would need to get started with payroll.

For standard users, this product is very simple to use for clocking in and out, as well as adding or updating personal information.

On the admin side though, it takes a huge amount of information to run the software properly.

Compared with a few other payroll platforms I've used, it handles the core payroll tasks I need without any trouble. It gets the essential job done and, for someone with basic payroll needs, I'd feel comfortable recommending it.

One area that really needs attention is benefits and the way information is shared. I've also used ADP and they provide a lot more in those areas so I'd definitely suggest adding similar improvements here.

Pros

Moving time and attendance data into the payroll module is much smoother than other platforms Ive used. I check employees' timecards one to three times a week and they're much clearer and easier to read by comparison.

Cons

The version I use doesn't include a way to track and pay independent contractors. Another small but annoying issue is the required date format. Instead of something simple like 7/3/20, the system makes you enter 07/03/2020 which I find unnecessarily frustrating.

“fantastic start with Paychex Flex”

Pros

About a month into implementation, we've already completed our first payroll and the whole experience with Paychex has been excellent. Their implementation team has been outstanding from the start. Their website is very simple to navigate and each user can personalize their own dashboard with the tools and items they use most often. The Paychex Flex app has also been excellent especially since it lets you access, review or update information from anywhere. VERY VERY PLEASED CUSTOMER SO FAR.

At work, we rely on this every day for the team members who need to clock in and out and it handles that really well. I'm also able to look back at all of my paychecks from the last two years which is very convenient.

Cons

The only thing I'd like to see added is a link to my medical benefits on the site. Aside from that, it's been a very solid tool for work.

“Easy access to so many useful features”

Pros

Having so many features in one place has been really helpful. I can use the time clock, handle HR reviews, check my hours for the week, see my available sick time and submit time off requests all from the same platform. It's really nice having everything together and available when I need it.

Cons

Wish it had is a setting to keep the app from logging me out after 30 minutes of inactivity. It would be much better if there were an option to adjust or change the timeout feature.
