“Not worth it”
Pros
Honestly, there's nothing about this software that stands out in a good way for me. I really can't think of a single feature I actually liked and there's a lot that needs to be improved.
Cons
Using it has been frustrating. It's hard to navigate, not user friendly at all and the cost feels too high for what it offers. On top of that customer support is basically nonexistent and it missed direct deposits multiple times.

“simple to use”
Pros
Using this software cuts down a lot of time especially for payroll. I worked with it at my previous company and once everything is set up, it's very simple to use.
Cons
Customer support can be inconsistent. At times they're very helpful and explain everything clearly but other times they come across as arrogant.

“Using it is too difficult”
Pros
The core functionality is there and the idea behind having a single self service portal makes sense. Some of the built in workflows do a good job of taking frustrating and repetitive HR tasks off your plate. The PTO request and approval process, for example, works really well and cuts down a lot of the back and forth communication that used to happen without that kind of automation.
Cons
Getting around the system is where it really falls apart. It honestly feels like the different modules were created by completely separate contractors or siloed teams. Moving between basic HR functions like FSA, payroll, PTO and taxes was genuinely frustrating. The flow doesn't feel natural and the interface would benefit a lot from being standardized across the platform.

“payroll details at your fingertips”
Pros
From the website to the mobile app, everything feels very simple to figure out and it takes almost no time to locate what I'm looking for. The detailed breakdowns for taxes, overtime, deductions and more are incredibly helpful and I really appreciate how quickly I can pull up my W-2 or look back at previous paychecks. I've worked with quite a few payroll platforms over the years and this stands out as the most user friendly one by far.
Cons
The only real downside for me is that the app sends more notifications than a payroll service probably needs to.

“reliable app”
Pros
After more than three years of using this app, I'm still very happy with it. Having the mobile app available is also a big plus.
Cons
Its frustrating to connect your account to other bank websites and similar tools so I can keep track of everything in one place.

“frustrating support team”
Pros
Our assigned payroll associate was genuinely pleasant to work with.
Cons
They charges extra for just about everything and makes it unnecessarily hard to access the services you're already paying for. The systems feel outdated and don't integrate well with each other so there's far too much manual data transfer involved. It comes across as an old platform that hasn't kept pace with modern tools or user expectations. Navigation is a bit complicated and using it can be frustrating. On top of that customer service has been a mess. I've talked to around six different representatives in the past two months and I still don't have answers to some basic questions.

“all in one tool”
Pros
Everything is in one place which makes it really nice to use. It feels very accurate and is simple to understand once you're in it. I can also quickly find my W-2 and other important documents without any hassle.
Cons
At times, it runs a bit slowly which can make it harder to use. There's also a bit of a learning curve at first since you need to understand how the application works before using it comfortably.

“Good fit for us”
Pros
It's been a dependable, scalable payroll platform for our organization. On top of payroll, it lets us upload schedules, handle time off requests, share company updates, track training attendance and completion and quite a bit more.
Cons
Because our setup is pretty complex, moving over from standard version took a long time and was painful. Now that everything is stable, it works but it's still important to double check every detail.

“slow support”
Pros
The interface is pretty user friendly and arranged around the key areas you'd expect in an HR or PEO system. If you spend a little time looking around, you can usually track down what you need.
Cons
Getting help with the software is frustrating because it's hard to find the right person to guide you. Nobody seems sure who to send you to and when it comes to updated compliance instructions, the turnaround is very slow.

“fast access to pay stubs”
Pros
Being able to pull up old paycheck stubs anytime is really convenient. It supports direct deposit, lets you update your banking details and keeps track of paid time off as well. Accessing older W-2s is easy and new W-2 forms usually show up pretty quickly which means there's no need to wait around for a paper copy anymore.
Cons
I don't really have any major complaints, aside from the possible cost of setting up the online service. The platform is fairly simple to use but for more specific or detailed changes, you may still have to reach out to your payroll contact.

“my experience with Paychex”
Pros
Our team appreciates being able to log in on their own to check pay stubs, payroll details and even review their 401(k) contributions whenever they need to.
Cons
One thing we'd still like to see is more detailed information in the mobile app, closer to what's available on the desktop version although the mobile version still works well enough.

“decent payroll tools”
Pros
It covered everything we needed for payroll, 401k tracking and all the required forms. The security is solid too which is definitely useful. Overall, it's a decent system with the potential to let you handle a lot of tasks on your own.
Cons
Layout feels odd and not very easy to use. If you're someone who isn't always sitting at a desk and has to juggle multiple things, it can get frustrating fast when you need to reset a password or get locked out. It also seems better suited for larger companies.
