“reliable payroll software”
Pros
Payroll has been very dependable with this. It automates complicated tax filings, direct deposits and standard deductions accurately which really cuts out calculation mistakes. One of the biggest benefits is having a dedicated account representative who actually learns how your business works and provides personalized help something that's hard to find with other providers. The employee portal is also very user friendly, giving staff quick mobile access to pay stubs, tax documents and time off balances. Another big plus is the modular setup which makes it simple to expand the system with HR features, health benefits and retirement tracking as the company grows.
Cons
That said, the interface feels outdated and slow and moving around the platform can be frustrating since it often takes too many clicks to switch between employee and manager views. The reporting area is another weak point because creating custom reports is hard and often ends up requiring help from support. Pricing can also feel limiting due to the extra add on charges for things that seem necessary, such as special payroll runs or year end tax forms. On top of that the mobile app tends to be sluggish, logs users out too often and general customer support beyond the dedicated rep can be inconsistent and slow when issues need to be resolved.

“Brings all my tasks together in one place”
Pros
Brings all of these complex payroll tasks together in one secure place. Having year end taxes calculated automatically and staying consistently compliant with local regulations gives a lot of peace of mind as a business leader.
Cons
The interface overall feels a bit dated and navigating through detailed payroll reports can be confusing at times.

“helpful templates”
Pros
After setting up a template, adding hours and expense reimbursements becomes pretty easy. Bringing new staff into the system is also fairly simple now.
Cons
Its reporting side was difficult to figure out. When I need to print a basic report showing staff and their hourly wages, it takes way too many steps to get there.

“simple to work with interface”
Pros
Using time and attendance in the same system makes a big difference and the interface is much simpler to work with. Payroll can be finished in just a few minutes and the reporting features are really solid.
Cons
One frustration is how many different people are involved especially during implementation. Pricing seems to change every year and with so many products, too many representatives keep contacting us about additional offerings.

“consistently helpful customer service team”
Pros
Running payroll in this system is really easy so it doesn't take much effort to get through the process. The customer service team has also been pleasant to deal with and consistently helpful whenever needed.
Cons
Too many reports are only available in PDF format which makes them harder to customize for my specific needs and makes the reporting side feel kind of limited.

“great HR support tool”
Pros
HRIS, benefits, payroll and time off tracking all work together in one system which is really convenient. It's also nice having dedicated contacts for payroll, HR and employee support whenever questions come up.
Cons
There are extra modules, like recruiting and performance management but they don't connect as effortlessly with the rest of the platform.

“Time saving employee self service portal”
Pros
Does a great job managing the entire payroll process. Direct deposits are processed on time, tax filings are handled automatically across federal, state and local levels and W-2s and 1099s are created and sent out without any manual work. The employee self service portal saves a lot of time since staff can check pay stubs, update personal details, manage direct deposit information and pull tax documents without needing HR to step in. The mobile app is actually practical for both employees and admins especially for handling approvals and check ins while away from the desk. Reporting is another strong point, with plenty of ready made reports and solid customization options. It also works well for businesses of different sizes and the integrations with time tracking, benefits administration and 401(k) are convenient if you want everything in one system. Having a dedicated payroll specialist assigned to the account is also a valuable extra that not every provider offers.
Cons
Interface feels a bit outdated compared with newer platforms like Gusto or Rippling. Navigation is not always easy and tracking down certain settings can mean clicking through multiple menus. Setup and onboarding were more involved than expected and often needed guidance from a representative. Pricing is also not very clear on the website and the cost usually rises once you start adding modules like time tracking, HR services or benefits which can add up fast for a small business. Support has been uneven as well because some representatives are excellent, while others need multiple escalations before an issue gets fixed and the turnover in assigned specialists has been frustrating. The platform can be slow at times too especially during busy payroll periods. On top of that a few standard features that other competitors include at no extra cost are paid add ons here.

“outdated interface”
Pros
Having payroll, HR and employee management in a single platform is a nice advantage because it cuts down on switching between multiple tools. After spending some time learning the system, it does a dependable job with the core payroll tasks and keeps the back end side fairly well organized.
Cons
Way too many features feel more complicated than necessary or tucked away behind several layers of menus so even basic tasks can take more time than expected. The interface can also come across as outdated which makes using the platform more frustrating than it really should be.

“decent pricing”
Pros
Using it day to day feels pretty simple and the pricing seems in line with other products out there.
Cons
Customer service was the biggest disappointment. When something goes wrong, getting a reply can take several days and instead of dealing with one dedicated rep, you usually end up talking to multiple people about the same problem.

“weekly payroll visibility win”
Pros
Makes it really convenient for employees to check the hours they've worked during a specific pay period and it also gives us as managers a reliable way to stay in touch with them. It's a fast, efficient tool that we end up using every single week.
Cons
Every once in a while the app does require an update but aside from that it works very well and I'd definitely recommend using it.

“a convenient option”
Pros
Payroll, benefits and employee information all being in one place was the biggest advantage for me. The interface is user friendly which makes the platform convenient to use and helps keep everything organized in a single system.
Cons
At first, a few features were a bit tricky to navigate so there was a small learning curve. There were also times when customer support took longer than expected to respond.

“time tracking that really helps”
Pros
One thing I've been really happy with is the time tracking feature. Being able to move employee hours straight to the payroll dashboard with just one click has been incredibly helpful for running payroll calculations.
Cons
A downside is that our company doesn't have a dedicated account representative. Whenever an issue comes up, I have to call in and explain everything from the beginning to a new person.

“Simplified payroll workflow”
Pros
Running payroll feels pretty effortless with this and the system is simple to move through for those tasks. Adjusting deductions like 401(k) contributions was a bit trickier though and I had to contact support a few times to make sure the right amount was being taken from employees' pay each cycle.
Cons
My current support rep has been very helpful but some of the previous ones I worked with were much less useful and difficult to get in touch with.

“all in one HR platform”
Pros
Does a really good job of combining HR, payroll and benefits into one easy to use system. The dashboard is clean and logical so everyday tasks like processing payroll, tracking time and pulling reports feel much more efficient. Its flexibility and automation are also major advantages. Automatic tax calculations, compliance tools and customizable reports help cut down on manual work and lower the chance of mistakes. The employee self service portal is another valuable feature since staff can view pay stubs, tax forms and personal details without needing HR to step in all the time. Overall, it makes complicated processes much simpler while still helping maintain compliance which matters a lot in a regulated environment.
Cons
Some parts of the platform are more complicated than they first appear, particularly the more advanced features like reporting and customization. It can take a while to find certain options or figure out how to properly set up specific settings. The reporting tools are powerful but they are not always the most user friendly so getting the exact data you need may take extra effort. There are also times when resolving certain issues depends on customer support and occasional delays there can slow workflows down. Overall, the system has strong capabilities but the learning curve and navigation in some areas could definitely be better.

“Too many billing mistakes”
Pros
Its user friendly and having access to reports whenever needed is definitely helpful. The first representative I worked with was excellent but after that, things steadily went downhill.
Cons
They struggled to bill the agreed weekly amount correctly and couldn't seem to get the pay as you go workers' comp insurance set up properly even though I was repeatedly told it had been done right. On top of that my contact person kept changing and they had trouble keeping our two companies separate.

“easy to work with”
Pros
From day one, it was simple to work with and reasonably priced. The software performed really well and felt like an ideal payroll option for small to midsize businesses.
Cons
Over time though, the cost kept going up year after year until it became too expensive to justify. Getting everything set up was somewhat complicated and canceling the service turned out to be a hassle too.

“tax handling simplified”
Pros
Running this in a small organization has been really simple and the pricing feels worth it for what you get. The layout is pretty logical so that most things can be figured out without much help. When support does step in, they're helpful and the way it handles state tax allocations takes a lot of hassle out of the process.
Cons
One frustration is that certain features are handled by separate support teams and they don't seem to be cross trained. That can mean sitting on hold for a while just to be told you need to be transferred to someone else. My assigned rep is also rarely available and the wait times for general support can be pretty long.
