support that actually helps

Pros

I run my business using the Rollup list, it's become my go-to tool for daily operations and I rely on it heavily!

Cons

Although some things from PCR 8 were altered in version 9 I still prefer several of those older features and miss how they used to work.

a huge upgrade for our team

Pros

I've grown to appreciate the comprehensive candidate profiles and how they are managed. I can quickly import candidates' details, edit them when necessary and track my progress with each applicant. PCR is used internally so our users are company staff.

Cons

Perhaps the tool could offer more customization options. I would especially like the Presentation feature to be more flexible and configurable.

love using it!

Pros

What I really appreciate is how user-friendly this software feels for me.

Cons

I'd love to see integration with a workflow platform such as Monday.com added to the app. It would make coordination so much smoother for me.

hard to replace in our business

Pros

I can hardly think of any features it's missing. Plus it's simple to use, priced affordably and the support I've received has been excellent.

Cons

For me the only real drawback is the phone app. I find it far more limited than the PC version and I wish they would upgrade it so the mobile experience feels much closer to the desktop.

better than our old ATS

Pros

Letting AI handle mind-numbing tasks has been a game-changer for me. Working as an IR means I spend most of my time buried in database work and PCR has simplified importing data sorting through call sheets and building plans for our recruiters. The support team deserves praise too, they're responsive and actually listen to user feedback. I'd strongly recommend PCR to anyone still stuck on an old, clunky ATS.

Cons

I do wish there were more job-posting integrations especially a direct tie-in with LinkedIn Recruiter. The platform feels pretty different compared to older ATS systems so it didn't click right away for everyone. Because of that, we ended up dedicating a significant amount of time to training and onboarding our team on how to use PCR effectively.

fully featured and well supported

Pros

I found their customer support outstanding throughout the whole process, from evaluation to implementation and beyond, and I genuinely feel their development team is excellent as well.

Cons

Because the platform allows so much customization I discovered that the initial setup can take quite a long time, that was less a fault and more a learning experience for me. I would love to see stronger bilingual support, having more powerful multilingual features would make a big difference.

good value for the cost

Pros

Well I really appreciate having a single place where I can send job applications, jot notes, attach references and resumes and save contact details.

Cons

Creating a job order once a candidate has been placed feels like an unnecessarily long and tedious ordeal for me, there are just too many steps involved.

easy to use and navigate

Pros

Honestly the whole interface feels very simple so I barely have to think when moving around it. I can usually find what I'm looking for quickly because the menus and layout are simple and easy to follow.

Cons

I wish the hiring steps such as interviewing, accepting offers and similar stages, weren't shown in the format of an 'interview'. It makes the process confusing to me and gives the impression that every step is an actual interview which feels misleading.

frustrating hiring compliance

Pros

I've found that it stores all necessary documents and related communications neatly under each applicant's name

Cons

Being in charge of hiring for our Pharmacy team, I'm frustrated that the software offers no filter to block candidates who do not hold a Canadian licence to practise. At my company, a pharmacist must have a Canadian licence and be a Canadian citizen before we will even look at a resume and I have to enforce that. There are several reasons behind this policy but liability is the main one and the process of obtaining licensure in Canada is lengthy, complex and often uncertain. Candidates are expected to manage that licensing process themselves. For every other role in our pharmacy staff, I also need applicants to be citizens so placements are compliant.

backend flexibility is excellent

Pros

What I like the most is being able to configure almost anything I need in the backend which I appreciate, achieving that level of control is something I find difficult in most other ATS platforms.

Cons

For me navigating around can be tricky and I sometimes struggle to locate simple functions like sending emails or creating reusable form-letter templates.

reliable for remote recruiting

Pros

I've discovered some great PRO features: the roll-ups for tracking and recruiting future candidates work really well and are simple to use. I can also build forms (attachments) that get automatically emailed to chosen groups like accounting or compliance and overall the interface feels user-friendly and highly customizable.

Cons

We depend on SMS entries to serve as 'proof of contact' but it feels like almost every other week our RingCentral text messages stop syncing or fail to log as activities. Support told us the fix is frequent re-authentication which is a cumbersome workaround and really frustrating for our team.

great value for long-term use

Pros

For me it's really easy to use as it helps me remember tasks by letting me schedule activities and it also keeps a record of all my candidates and clients.

Cons

I'm frustrated that form letters must be created in the Systems tab so I can't make them on-the-fly while working from a roll-up.

the best ATS weve used

Pros

Back in 1999 our team invested in PcRecruiter and I can still remember how smooth the initial integration felt and how simple the setup was. Over time, the platform has received numerous updates, redesigns and feature enhancements, all clearly focused on simplifying the daily tasks of managers and recruiters while keeping records consistently tracked. I've also been impressed by the way it connects with other partner tools, those integrations have been outstanding and have continually reduced the complexity of our workflows. The interface is very simple which made adoption easy for our staff and learning it wasn't a chore. Support and training have consistently exceeded our expectations.

Cons

Personally I'm aware that no software is perfect and there's always room for enhancements but right now I'm genuinely satisfied with PcRecruiter and don't have any complaints to report.

strong platform with great training

Pros

I'm really impressed with PCR Capture for LinkedIn, it makes grabbing the details my connections add on LinkedIn super simple, even their profile pictures. It's true you can export contacts straight from LinkedIn but I've found that email addresses and phone numbers often don't come through, by using this tool I'm confident that those fields end up stored in my PC Recruiter database.

Cons

On the downside I often have issues customizing pages to suit my needs and at times it's a real pain getting a candidate's record to reflect a company change within the software.

rock solid and dependable

Pros

What I appreciate most is that the system encounters very few errors and almost no downtime which makes it reliable for my day-to-day use.

Cons

Unfortunately I'm given no advance notice about upcoming updates, in my experience, users aren't informed ahead of time and I only discover an update on the very day it is released.

one of the best databases out there

Pros

For my day-to-day work, PCRecruiter feels very user-friendly and I appreciate that each person can customize record layouts so the most relevant fields they need are displayed up front.

Cons

I wish I could export metric reports that reflect the specific data users enter, instead of being limited to an on-screen summary that only shows aggregate counts of the inputs, right now I can just view totals.

good but not the easiest

Pros

I appreciate that I can pull candidate details directly from LinkedIn or ZoomInfo into profiles which saves me a lot of time. Another feature I enjoy is the click-to-dial capability tied to our RingCentral phone setup and I can also upload CSV files easily.

Cons

We don't have an auto-save when I'm editing or entering customer information so I ended up losing updates and had to redo work which was really frustrating. It would be great if changes were reflected live and automatically refreshed and I'd love the option for both of us to edit a profile simultaneously for training or coaching moments.

still the best option weve found

Pros

As a user I've found the feature set on this product to be extremely comprehensive. Nearly every capability I'd hope for comes built into the software. A large portion of required functionality is covered under the standard base price. Extra modules and enhancements from PCR and partner vendors are also available and can be bought for a reasonable supplemental fee. What I appreciate most is the clearly documented API. Through that API PCR is able to integrate with lots of third-party systems, for example CRM platforms and auto-dialer providers, to mention just a couple.

Cons

Although PCR includes virtually all the features I need some of the workflows feel clunky and the reporting could use refinement to be more simple and flexible.

support is always there

Pros

From my experience the app offers a wide range of features and I find its search functionality really simple to use.

Cons

I get frustrated by having so many separate downloads, the launcher, Java, Outlook and even the resume inhale component, because if I forget to install any one of them on an employee's computer, troubleshooting becomes a real headache.
