overall solid system

Pros

I get excellent customer support and the backend is very powerful, it never crashes and although the interface isn't attractive, it gets the job done. It syncs smoothly with MS Outlook for email and I appreciate that it tracks everything while offering an open API.

Cons

There are too many reports and I find them hard to customize.

easy for agency recruiting

Pros

Throughout my career as an agency recruiter I've tried numerous ATS platforms and I find PCRecruiter to be quite user-friendly. One feature I really like is the add-on called "PCR Capture" which lets me pull candidate profiles straight from LinkedIn. It pulls in employment history automatically and often grabs their location, photo, education and contact details like email or phone when available.

Cons

Can't think of many downsides to this ATS. When I first began using it the interface felt a bit dated but they rolled out a UX redesign last month and now I find the overall look much more attractive and modern.

made our jobs much easier

Pros

From within PCR I'm able to complete every one of our tasks and honestly the functionality blows me away!

Cons

I find the software has nearly too many layers which can be overwhelming at times, it quickly becomes intimidating unless I break the learning into small, manageable segments. Also, the training should give me more opportunities to actually use the product as I learn, hands-on practice during sessions would make a big difference.

impressed with pcr capture and shared docs

Pros

I'm really impressed with the PCR Capture feature because it lets me pull candidates straight from LinkedIn into our database and attach them to the specific roles we're hiring for. Beyond that, it has helped us shrink our ecological footprint by consolidating all documents into a single, shared repository that every member of the team can access which simplifies record-keeping and reduces paper waste.

Cons

In my experience the options for running highly specific searches within our database feel limited so I often have to perform a two-step process to uncover the exact results I'm aiming for which adds time and complexity to routine lookups.

easy to use and powerful

Pros

Once I finally managed to install it on another computer, the program turned out to be quite user-friendly, I struggled a bit during the initial setup but after that it's easy to navigate and use for daily tasks.

Cons

Sometimes I find the search function to be not precise enough for my needs. It would be really helpful if, when conducting a search that returns mixed results like 100% and 50% matches, there was an option to filter and show only the 100% matches without me having to tick a box next to each individual name, because those lists can contain hundreds of entries. Maybe I'm missing a feature or simply don't know the correct way to do it.

Pros

I like how easy it is to use, PCR feels very simple and lets new associates pick it up and be productive quickly.

Cons

We honestly can't come up with any complaints, perhaps that's because we've been using it for many, many years.

great for long-term growth

Pros

I've found PCRecruiter extremely easy to use and highly customizable. My company covers a variety of specialties we rely on this tool for and we can set up tailored custom fields to handle each specific niche.

Cons

So far we haven't run into any problems with the software's features. When something isn't available straight out of the box, it's generally been configurable and on occasions when we needed more, PCR's support listened to our suggestions and implemented changes for us.

everything in one place

Pros

I appreciate being able to personalize every screen except those that my colleagues rely on. Having control to tailor which search results I see and to edit individual name profiles, genuinely feels like a major benefit.

Cons

Personally the recent update has been a tough transition for me, I found the previous PCR interface much more visually simple. That said I've only had about a week to get used to the changes so I'm giving it time.

good experience overall

Pros

It is pretty cool how this program connects with my email, switching between the two is simple and quick and overall the interface feels very user-friendly.

Cons

For my part the one feature I'd change right now relates to attaching files, the process of adding attachments feels laggy and could be simplified.

easy to navigate and track

Pros

We couldn't find any feature we needed that PC Recruiter didn't offer. Having tried multiple applicant tracking systems, I feel this one truly delivers the most comprehensive set of features for the price we've encountered.

Cons

I found the initial setup more involved because we require so many images for our different clients making the software inherently more complex to configure at the start. To offset that, the customer service and training we got were absolutely outstanding and thorough. They produced tailored video walkthroughs showing exactly what we wanted, provided highly responsive email support and assigned a dedicated contact person for us

Pros

Honestly I find PCRecruiter gives me tremendous flexibility and control when I need more from an ATS than the basics.

Cons

When it comes to mass emails I find them a pain but after I got the hang of the system it works fine.

PCR really delivers

Pros

Personally I love the simple interface packed with a wide range of tools and the freedom to tweak almost every setting so workflows can be fine-tuned to our company's needs. Because it offers cloud-based plans, I can reach the system from any internet connection. The recently added email campaign tool records opens and clicks for outbound marketing, letting me build very targeted drip sequences.

Cons

Being a cloud user I've run into occasional server hiccups and mid-day patches that make the system sluggish at times. Also, when I post ideas in their feature-request forum, it can feel like they're left unattended for months, even if several other users have upvoted them.

simple and effective tracking

Pros

As a small-business owner, I use this platform to store virtually all of our company information and it's become a central hub for us. I'm impressed by how much I can tailor it so it feels specifically built for my operations. The metrics-tracking dashboard is something I customize to reflect what I, as a manager, want to go over with the team, employees can then directly view their progress and clearly understand where they stand and what targets they should reach.

Cons

I've found there's a definite learning curve because the database can do so many things and new capabilities seem to appear almost daily. Sometimes it overwhelms me seeing all the available features at once which can be a lot to process. What helps is leaning on the help desk to clarify what I really need, then focusing only on those parts. I try not to get distracted by every single option unless it's essential for my workflow.

stable and reliable system

Pros

For a basic recruiting tool it actually packs a surprising number of features that I rely on. I find that everything runs fairly smoothly and it's relatively easy to navigate around the app. What I really appreciate is being able to create custom views on the different pages I use which helps me organize my workflow.

Cons

That said it can feel a bit glitchy and somewhat dated in places. Some features are tucked away in odd spots that don't make much sense and that can break the flow of my work. Still once I know where to look I can usually work around those quirks.

competitive with larger platforms

Pros

I've found it uniquely capable of organizing every applicant tied to a particular role which makes juggling hiring for several openings so much simpler. What I especially appreciate is the ability to jot notes for each candidate, helping me keep their details and differences clear.

Cons

I don't like that the platform won't let me send a normal text message directly from the software. While I understand it offers preset messaging options, when I use them they produce awkward, impersonal texts that often make candidates suspicious. In my view, the website needs a more natural, transparent texting feature so outreach feels genuine and doesn't raise red flags.

easy once you get the hang of it

Pros

Personally I really appreciate PCR's search features, I can quickly locate and sort candidates by role, geographic area and employer which makes keeping things organized simple.

Cons

On the downside Capture frequently struggles with LinkedIn scraping, more often than not I'm spending as much time cleaning up or redoing what Capture failed to capture as it would take me to just do the work manually.

excellent database and search

Pros

What I like is being able to keep all my contacts, both candidates and companies, in one centralized place which makes tracking relationships much easier.

Cons

Honestly I think the scheduling/calendar part is somewhat unreliable and clunky which disrupts my planning occasionally.

I find the interface very easy to use so getting started was simple. It's reasonably customizable in places, even if not completely flexible. I also appreciate that I can host it myself rather than relying on a cloud service.

Cons

I'm frustrated by the limited depth of the search, I can't reliably filter by things like experience, salary expectations, education level, or job stability. Automatic matching of candidates to open positions is not provided. Overall I feel the search capabilities lag behind those of other leading CRMs.

search function is limited and confusing

Pros

Personally I find the dashboard very interactive and incredibly easy to navigate.

Cons

However I've found the search functions to be limited and often confusing, the results usually end up being a mixed bag. Calendar syncing has also been problematic for me, it's tricky to get it to work reliably which might be down to the specific settings our admins chose to enable.
