A huge help for our company!

Pros

PurelyHR is so simple to use and has been a huge help for our company and our employees.

Cons

There's really nothing I don't like about it! The only thing I'd suggest is giving admins the ability to change holiday time on timesheets manually if needed.

Easy for staff with great calendar

Pros

The best part is how easy it is for my staff to use. The calendar feature is great and I really like the email process for approving time-off requests.

Cons

I wish I could access next year's data before the current year ends.

color-coding makes planning simple

Pros

I love that you can color-code different types of time off. Just looking at the calendar, I can see who's off and why, which is awesome for planning. Setting up all the different time-off categories is really helpful too.

Cons

The reporting feels a little complex. I'd love a report that simply lists the name and how much time off is left at the end of the year without all the extra details.

Cons

great for keeping records in one spot

Pros

Easy to use and I love that it connects with Google Calendar. It's great for keeping track of all our records and events in one spot.

Cons

Stable but has too many paywalls

Pros

It is very stable, I don't think it's ever gone down on me. Plus its very easy for my staff to figure out.

Cons

But there are some real head-scratchers. They charge extra for basic security like multi-factor authentication, and the settings are all over the place. You can't even customize time-off types, you're stuck doing things their way. The design has some odd quirks, like pop-ups you have to scroll through, and it doesn't connect well with other tools we use. Plus, there's no scheduling feature at all, which feels like a pretty basic miss.

Pros

This web-based software is super user friendly. Since 2013, I've only had to contact support a couple of times and they helped me out right away.

Cons

The lack of a mobile app is the only downside for me.

holiday pay calculations are always wrong

Pros

Honestly, the timesheets are the only useful parts of the system. They're relatively easy to use.

Cons

You can't delete a holiday once the schedules are published. It doesn't understand my team's unique hours, which messes up our holiday pay. The calculations are always wrong.

user friendly with no IT problems

Pros

its just so simple to use and we never have IT problems. I'm managing 30 people across two offices and some remote workers and it's really easy for me to add or remove employees.

Cons

Best time-off tracking features

Pros

The time-off feature is excellent, it handles accrual tracking for all our different policies perfectlyand generating reports is straightforward and genuinely useful.

Cons

While the time-tracking function works, the interface feels overly complex for our basic needs. We primarily need to log hours and location, so the additional project detail fields create unnecessary complexity. A simplified view or customization option would better match our workflow.

helpful features but review section flawed

Pros

It is relatively easy to use and has some functions we were specifically looking for. I also find the auto-reminders for birthdays and work anniversaries really helpful.

Cons

We found the review section wasn't quite the right fit for our teams. For the lawyers, it didn't support the process of getting feedback from multiple partners, which is something we need. With the assistants, we ran into a recurring issue where if several people were doing a review, the first one to finish would sometimes hit "FINALIZE" by accident. This would lock the others out until we could get an admin to undo it, which made the process a difficult to manage.

We can customize it. It's useful because staff can book things on their own but we still have control where we need it.

Cons
