Easy time tracking !

Pros

For over a decade, we've been very satisfied using the platform exclusively for time tracking. Its simplicity and customization make it easy for both our administrators and employees to learn, which streamlines onboarding. As a non-profit, the cost-effectiveness has also been a significant advantage for our organization.

Cons

I really like the time-off module, though the sheer number of reporting options can be overwhelming at first, it sometimes takes a few tries to find the exact report I need. The upside is that with so many choices, what I'm looking for is almost always in there somewhere

Pros

PurelyHR is remarkably user-friendly for everyone, staff find it efficient, managers navigate it with ease, and even administrative tasks run smoothly.

Cons

Honestly, there is really nothing we don't like about it. The only thing that would make it better is if it had a dedicated app for my phone or iPad.

Quick setup

Pros

Setting up the web-based system was very smooth. There was no setup needed for end users, which was a huge relief.

Cons

finding the time-off summary a bit hard to follow. the information about total time taken also isn't very clear.

Fast to learn and use

Pros

even without any expert to train me, I found it simple to operate and easy to learn. I managed to figure it all out by myself.

Cons

I wish it would show past years records of leave taken by staff. It would be helpful if it could display that previous history.

Effortless time off requests

Pros

It's so easy for employees to request time off, which is a feature I really like.

Cons

id like if we could add our own custom fields to the calendar to use it more like a team calendar. For example, it would be great to put in birthdays.

easy setup but confusing vacation balances

Pros

Managing time off for employees is simple and I find most of the set-up to be easy.

Cons

I am not a fan of how carry-over time and current vacation balances are shown. It's confusing and hard to figure out. Also, some of the settings are hard to locate once you're up and running and need to make adjustments.

ideal for managing time off

Pros

The best part for me is how its an easy to use system for managing time-off requests. The software gives me peace of mind by how it records everything, from the requests to the approvals or rejections for both the employee and employer.

Cons

Let's be honest, calculations are my least favorite thing to do but I have to deal with them in this tool.

Good price & dependable

Pros

You really can't beat the reasonable price. It's also a stable product without a lot of downtime and the PTO management is easy.

Cons

The performance module could use a few more options and it can be a bit difficult for new managers to get the hang of. Also, uploading user files has to be done one at a time, which is a real struggle.

Excellent for vacation tracking!

Pros

We only used this tool for time-off tracking and it worked great for that.

Cons

Learning the system was tricky because you have to load a profile in a few different screens. Also, the termination screen is limiting and it would be great to have an 'OTHER' option instead of being forced to pick from a short list. We don't really use it for tracking terminations though, so it wasn't a big deal for us.

great price for the services provided

Pros

Honestly, for the services it provides, you can't beat the price. It's user-friendly and gives us what we need for payroll like accurately tracking time off accruals and time used. Both admins and staff find the timesheet module very easy to use.

Cons

My only real complaint is that using it on my phone is very limited. The remote access isn't great.

I really like how easy this tool is to use. I can quickly put in PTO info and see everyone's time-off at a glance on the calendar. It's simple but works great.

Cons

I've had trouble connecting it to our current HR software (Gusto) as a third-party tool. It hasn't been easy.

packed with features for a small business

Pros

It's packed with features but still has an interactive interface. For our small business, it's a great way to get the same tools that big companies have in their expensive HR software.

Cons

The initial billing process was frustrating and took longer than expected to resolve. However, it was a one-time issue that was resolved fairly quickly.

its just easy to use. my employees love the transparency and being able to submit their own requests. It keeps our whole team organized with time off. we also love that we can limit how many people are off at once, so we never end up short-staffed.

Cons

submitting requests for multiple days off can be tricky especially when it's around a holiday.
