focused candidate database search

Pros

I can easily focus on specific candidates stored in the database which saves me time and effort.

Cons

no complaints. I like it!! It's extremely convenient, a great piece of software and really helpful for recruitment.

Strong sourcing and contact extraction

Pros

URM and DEI features are valuable and I also like the email and phone extractor along with the GitHub profile links it provides.

Cons

Sometimes the candidate profiles I find via SeekOut don't link through to a LinkedIn page and I'm left wondering whether that's because those candidates simply don't have LinkedIn accounts or for some other unknown reason.

Simplified underrepresented talent search

Pros

D&I feature is a favorite of mine because it makes locating underrepresented talent much more efficient.

Cons

Occasionally I notice the emails collected by the system could be fresher and more current.

favorite search interface overall

Pros

I love the search interface, after working with many sourcing tools over the past twelve years, this one stands out as my top choice. Entering search criteria is simple and it consistently delivers highly relevant candidates.

Cons

At the moment, I can't think of a single feature I'd want to change or improve about it.

flexible filters with boolean search

Pros

Variety of search options really appeals to me, the custom filters combined with experimenting creatively with Boolean strings are among my favorite features.

Cons

Occasionally irrelevant profiles pop up in my searches though it's rare and I can always tap the report button to flag the mismatch!

simple projects and advanced filters

Pros

This tool feels convenient and really easy to navigate. I really like that you can create boolean searches and save them directly into specific projects. Plus the advanced filters are fantastic for drilling down during targeted searches and I appreciate that there's an option to filter for diversity. Being able to collapse profiles I've already viewed is absolutely essential to my daily workflow. I'm also a big fan of the dark mode :)

Cons

I wasn't responsible for implementing this software so I can't comment on the integration side. What I'd like to see is a way to target candidates from specific companies or to filter companies by category (for example, SaaS businesses). Occasionally a profile will mismatch, the entry in this tool appears but clicking it opens a different or broken LinkedIn profile, however that happens rarely and is only a minor annoyance. In my experience it doesn't happen often.

Powerful search for diverse hiring

Pros

Huge fan of this tool and I routinely tell our new hires to use it, it's incredibly easy and the search algorithm does a great job of cutting through the clutter so I only see the most relevant candidates. I also appreciate having diversity filters available. Using this product has let me make a real difference in bringing on underrepresented talent. On top of that, I enjoy experimenting with the power filters to tweak my searches and watch how they refine the results.

Cons

One suggestion I'd make is to include a way to jump back into any past search (not limited to just the most recent three or four sourcing strings and without forcing me to save the search). It would also be handy if the interface showed the date each search string was run so I could track when specific searches were executed.

Pros

Highly flexible and comprehensive platform

Pros

Over the years I've used several recruiting and talent management software packages. This tool really stands out (pun intended) because of its flexibility and the sheer volume of candidate data it captures. After using it for about two months, I'm confident in saying it's one of the most comprehensive platforms I've found for locating candidates in a highly targeted and precise manner.

Cons

So far I haven't come across any feature I'd single out as my least favorite. One capability I'd like to see added is the option to search LinkedIn profiles that are marked 'Open to Work' so I could filter candidates who indicate they're actively looking.

fresh candidates with export options

Pros

I've found the tool is constantly refreshed, every time I run a search I come up with fresh candidates instead of the same people I keep seeing. I really appreciate the "previously viewed" toggle because it lets me filter out profiles I've already checked and the option to export to Excel is great for quickly compiling profile links.

Cons

It's annoying that downloads are limited by credits, I wish I could pull more profiles without being capped by how many credits I have :/
