“Super easy and reliable tool

Pros

I am not gonna lie this software is super user-friendly. I've had a few questions here and there and their customer support actually helped me out quickly. It just makes processing payments fast and keeps everything simple for me.

Cons

There's nothing I dislike about it. It's super convenient and user-friendly for both me and my clients. I feel like I've got good options to use without it being complicated.

“Big time saver tool

Pros

I love how Square Payroll simplifies shift tracking and payroll. Staff can easily clock in and out, receive automatic tip and commission payouts and even request time card edits, all from their phones. The system also handles new hire paperwork, tax filings and vacation requests, It literally saves me hours of admin work.

Cons

I just wish Square Payroll and Shifts actually linked with the Appointments system. Right now I gotta do the schedule twice which is kinda annoying.

“Really like it, its easy and helpful

Pros

Paying employees is now simple and fast. I no longer worry about technical roadblocks, onboarding new team members and running payroll has become an easy, smooth process every time.

Honestly, no complaints here. I looked around a lot before choosing and Square's been the best payroll setup I've used so far.

Square Payroll offers everything I need to manage employee payments with confidence. From tip distribution and PTO tracking to automatic tax remittance and child support withholding, it's easy for both managers and staff.

Honestly, can't think of anything that bugs me. It's simple to use, does what we need and doesn't cost a lot. It connects to our POS system and even has an app where the team can check pay stubs and tax stuff. It's just been great all around.

“Quick and easy setup

What I love most is how turnkey the solution is. I didn't need to spend hours configuring things, it's ready to run from the moment you set it up.

Cons

Still waiting on some updates to the scheduling and availability tools. Sounds like the changes coming soon are gonna make things way easier, so I'm looking forward to that.

It's extremely user friendly and I really value that they handle all the essential filings on my behalf. I don't have to think twice about compliance.

Cons

Every once in a while, support has a hard time figuring out the less common issues. Sometimes I have to explain it a couple times or talk to more than one person. But I will say, everything always gets sorted by the end of the day.

Tbh this tool worked just fine for me. Didn't come across anything that I'd say was a problem.

Support could be a bit better. They're not always easy to get in touch with right away. Still, overall it's good and I'd absolutely recommend it.

Pros

What drew me in was the idea of only paying when you take a payment. I gave Square Payroll a try and was impressed, it's got a sleek interface, built in tax filing, employee self service and easy POS integration which really helps simplify payment handling.

Cons

One thing that might be a trouble is that it's not available in every state yet. If you've got teams across different areas, that could be a problem.

“All-in-one payroll lifesaver

Pros

Honestly I'm a big fan of the invoicing feature. It lets me charge people either a flat rate or break it down by item depending on the job. Super easy to customize and just works for how I do business.

Cons

I have not run into any major issues with it at all. It's been pretty smooth sailing for me.

It has been a lifesaver for me. I don't have to stress about quarterly taxes anymore because it handles them automatically. Plus I can just direct deposit my employees' pay and it even takes care of their W-2s at the end of the year.

My only tiny issue is the pricing. I wish it was just one set fee rather than paying per employee but that's just me being cheap!

“Easy, accurate and convenient solution

We run pretty much everything through it at our small biz.... the POS, scheduling staff and payroll. It's honestly a fantastic all-in-one tool that just makes running things way easier.

Cons

I have tried a ton of other products out there and honestly I can't find anything about this one that I don't like. I don't even feel like it needs any extra features..it does exactly what I need it to do.

“Handles everything with ease

Pros

Square Payroll helps me keep all my employees organized in a clear way so I can easily track their hours and control the workflow. I love that I can see who's taking time off and figure out coverage for sick days. It also handles online payments and tax stuff for me and if I need to pay a contractor, I can even print them a check right from the system.

Cons

I've got zero negative things to say about this platform. It just works for me.

“payroll easier with trip monitoring but time tracking integration failed

Pros

It honestly made payroll so much easier for my whole team. The feature I probably love the most is the trip monitoring and it works in real-time so I can track all the drives my employees are making, see exactly how much is being spent and check all the details. On top of that the payroll payments are super accurate and hit everyone's bank accounts at the exact same time which my employees love. And the automated report it emails them? That's a huge help so they can see their pay, any deductions or bonuses without me having to explain it.

Cons

The one real problem I ran into was trying to connect it with our time tracking service. It was so difficult to configure that after a whole week of trying, we just couldn't get it to work. Now we have to export the time reports and manually import them into Square to run payroll which is a bit of a problem. It would be absolutely amazing if that integration was easier so we could actually use it the way it's meant to be used.

If you need to pay people, manage documents and keep track of everything payroll-related this is a great tool. It really works for me whether you are a small operation or running something bigger.

Cons

I'll admit it can get a little confusing sometimes but the help feature usually helps me sort it out and get things moving smoothly again.

I use it to handle the money side of my business and paying my employees and it just makes sense. It takes the headache out of managing the finances for the company.

It's just so easy to use whether I am on my computer or just grabbing my phone. I've used Paychex and ADP before and this is way cheaper. I literally just put in the info and it handles the rest, a full payroll service without the headache.

Cons

This is not a big deal to me personally but I know it doesn't do all the heavy-duty HR stuff that services like Paychex or ADP do. So if you need that really comprehensive service one of them might be a better fit. But for just handling payroll? Square is absolutely fantastic.

the main thing is that it's incredibly easy to use but more than that, I just trust the software. I know it's going to get it right.
