“Fast support saves the day
Pros
Super prompt help! I messed up the wage hours for one of my employees and the support team helped me figure it out so I could fix my mistake. It was a lifesaver.
Cons
Honestly I've got nothing bad to say. No complaints at all. They fixed my issue right away and the best part was that I didn't have to sit around listening to hold music waiting for someone to pick up.

“easy payroll with great reports
Pros
Its really easy to get around. It pumps out these awesome, super detailed reports and honestly, their support team is just fantastic.
Cons
I really can't think of any complaints. We have been using it for our payroll for about four years now and honestly, it just works great for us.

“Automatic payroll saves time
Pros
I love that it just handles all the deduction calculations and payments automatically, it makes payroll so easy. Plus it creates and sends in ROEs and T4s for me which saves me a ton of time.
Cons
Ok, if I really have to nitpick, the customer support setup is a little annoying. When you call, you have to explain everything and then someone has to call you back later which is not always the best timing. That said once they do call back, they always get my issues sorted out pretty quickly.

There's hardly anything to learn, it's all really interactive. Feels secure, great value for what you pay and it's user-friendly for both me and my staff.
Cons
From what I have seen of other platforms out there, it is definitely the best. I am drawing a blank when I try to think of any actual negatives.

service is always so professional and friendly. I am honestly very grateful for the awesome support the team has given us.
Cons
We've had a few hiccups with the Time Sheets feature. Sometimes our employees have trouble logging in or recording their check-in/out times. It's something we usually have to look into and figure out why it happened.

“Amazing support team
Pros
support team at Wagepoint is always amazing and they are quick, they know their stuff and they are super reliable. Honestly their outstanding service is the main reason I love using them.
Cons
I have not run into any huge problems so far, everything runs pretty smoothly. I guess if I had one wish, it would be for a few more advanced features just to make it even better.

I actually had management reach out to me personally about an issue I was having and it really felt like they genuinely care about their customers.
Cons
I've had a couple of frustrating experiences with customer service in the past. It felt like they didn't really know the payroll laws here in British Columbia. When I had questions about STAT pay calculations, they couldn't help and just told me to ask an accountant. I feel like the team should be more on top of that stuff. Also, they couldn't fix my 2FA issues until a manager got involved.

“Overall excellent tool!
Pros
It is just so easy and simple to use. It's really interactive. As a CEO I don't have a ton of time to mess with payroll and this literally takes me just a few minutes. And oh man, I LOVE the year-end package, it has saved me so much time!
Cons
I think it is a little pricey, to be honest. But to be fair I have not really shopped around and compared them to many other companies lately.

“Access rules make it unusable
Pros
It definitely helps make sure employees get paid, so I could see it being perfect for a super early-stage startup or a really small team that just wants something simple without a lot of fuss. But if you need more advanced stuff, it's very limited.
Cons
It drives me crazy that I can't access my own pay statements unless I am the actual employer even if I try to fully verify who I am. For something as important as getting paid, that kind of rigid policy just does not work for me. They really need to change that.

Honestly, everyone at Wagepoint is always so helpful and kind. support was super informative and helped me get some payroll corrections done in no time! She was so patient with me and explained the best way to fix things that would cost us the least money. AMAZING customer service! I was seriously impressed especially these days when good service is so hard to find but not with WagePoint! Thank you.I also have to say my last experience with team was absolutely wonderful, too. These two ladies seriously deserve a raise and a ton of recognition for their outstanding customer service and support. I can't thank them both enough. I really hope they get the acknowledgment they deserve! And thanks to the whole support team. Brianne is always so happy and kind, too! Your kindness doesn't go unnoticed.

I was able to set it up so my paycheck notifications go to my personal email instead of my work one. It's so convenient to be able to check my paystubs from anywhere.
Cons
They sent my paystub details pretty late, almost a full day after the money was already in my bank. It was annoying because I usually just wait for that notification to know I've been paid.

I like that there's actual human communication whenever I need help. It's great that they make it so easy to reach out anytime I have a question. Plus the program itself works perfectly for what I need and for my clients.
Cons
I guess I'd like to have a few more report options. It's also a tiny bit complicated to process off-schedule or irregular pay, but it's not too bad overall.

it is efficient and just easy to work with which makes managing payroll for small to medium-sized businesses easy. And when you do need a little extra support, the team at Wagepoint is always quick to respond and super helpful!
Cons
In Wagepoint 1.0, when you change the hours for a salaried employee, it doesn't automatically recalculate their salary. It would be really nice if it just did that for you.

I love how automated it is. My employees can just log in and find all their own stuff without having to bother me for it.
Cons
Honestly the system is really bad if you need to look up old info. You can't go back more than six months and the customer support team is pretty much non-existent. They also raised the price after I signed the contract. It's been a very, very, very bad experience and I am planning to leave as soon as I can.

“Easy tool and needs integration

It was incredibly user-friendly. All our staff, both the technicians and the office folks, found it super easy to use. It worked just as well on a desktop as it did on a mobile device. We also loved that it emails employees to let them know when there's an update like their pay is ready or their T4 is available. The staff were always friendly whenever we had to reach out with questions. It was also really nice to see that Wagepoint actually asks us for recommendations and suggestions on how to improve the software.
Cons
We didn't like that there were two separate logins, one for everyday payroll stuff and another one just for requesting time off. Also it didn't connect with ServiceTitan, so our employees would clock in and out there but those hours didn't carry over. We had to enter all their timesheets manually. For those two main reasons, I am giving 4 stars instead of 5.

“best service with bumpy upgrade

It's so easy to use. And their email customer service is super prompt, I always get a solution to my problem.
Cons
Upgrading from 1.0 to 2.0 was a bit of a thing. There was an unexpected step where a signing authority had to approve something and there were a few bugs to work out for T4 filing. That said, it communicated with us about it and answered my emails pretty quickly.
