Very user-friendly software

Pros

Using it has always felt very user friendly. The quick action tabs make the platform even more accessible and convenient to navigate.

Cons

I really don't have any complaints. Anytime I cannot find something or need help figuring out how to do something, the help center is right there with answers. My questions have never gone unresolved.

has the best tools

Pros

Getting started with it is not a problem because the features are user friendly and it's simple enough to learn on your own without much trouble. On top of that customer service has been really helpful whenever needed.

Cons

The biggest downside now is the price increase which has definitely changed how I feel about the software. With the cost going up, it's just not something I can keep paying for.

Tool that delivers

Pros

Running a growing practice became much more manageable once I started using MyCase because it keeps everything in one place. As I went from working solo to having a team, having a centralized system for clients, documents and communication turned out to be incredibly valuable. The client portal and document-sharing tools have really improved collaboration between my staff and clients and the integrations have automated parts of my workflow that used to eat up a lot of time. Overall, it has made the daily operations of my firm feel far more organized and efficient.

Cons

Switching from a personalized paper-based process to a more structured digital system definitely came with a learning curve. That transition took patience and meant changing some of the habits I had been relying on for years. Also a few parts of the platform were not especially user friendly at first but the account specialists were consistently available to help by email or through clarity calls whenever I had questions.

document handling done right

Pros

Being able to store and work with documents is my favorite part of MyCase. The option to send documents out for signature and execution is also an excellent feature.

Cons

At times the platform can feel a bit overwhelming. I wish I knew how to use all of its functions and I'd especially like a better understanding of how to use the tasks feature more effectively.

Has everything my practice needs

Pros

After about eight years of running my solo practice on this tool, I can say it's been a huge part of how I manage everything day to day. It's the only practice management software I have used and I have been very happy with it. I rely on it for billing, calendar management, coordinating tasks with my paralegal and assistant, messaging clients, keeping personal notes and organizing contacts. I also use the SmartSpend MyCase credit card to handle client-related expenses.

Cons

One thing that still doesn't work the way I'd like is the email feature. I can link emails to this tool but they still aren't visible to the rest of my team.

phone integration is the best

Pros

Using this has not been a problem and having my phone system connected to it is a big plus. Setting up workflows is also really useful and adds a lot of convenience.

Cons

I do wish email linking worked better. It would also be helpful if emails could be sent directly from the program.

Fully digital case tracking

Pros

Keeping up with cases has been much more manageable with MyCase and it has clearly improved my workflow. The fact that everything is fully digital and online is a big plus as well.

Cons

IOLTA management could be simplified and the intake process still needs improvement. Plus I feel like it could also do more when it comes to training around practice management and intake.

Overall does a great job

Pros

Running a small law firm is much more manageable with this tool. The platform is easy to use, very user friendly and does a great job handling both case and document management. It also delivers good value for the money. On top of that their customer support has been excellent and is easily one of the best parts of using it.

Cons

Only part that has been frustrating is the billing policy for adding new users. You have to pay for a full year upfront and that cost is non-refundable. For smaller firms like mine, where short-term employees or staff turnover happen, having to put out thousands of dollars in advance is really tough to handle. Because of that policy, I have ended up losing thousands of dollars.

Pros

Having everything in one platform has been a big plus and it's very user friendly. My team and I can keep our cases organized without running into many problems.

Cons

The immigration integration still has a few issues. Some questionnaires ask for more information than certain forms actually require and when I need extra room for multiple responses, it only gives me space for two.

Great value for solo practice

Pros

This offers great value and fits what I need well. The accounting tools are especially helpful and they take a bit of the hassle out of my day to day work.

Cons

I'd still like to have payment options through apps like CashApp, Zelle and Venmo. There also seems to be a bug when trying to delete payment requests.

Top tool for real!

Pros

Having billing, client management and the website all connected in one place makes this a real one-stop solution. It's simple to work with and it has also reduced how many phone calls we get from clients asking for status updates.

Cons

After the interface was updated, I still preferred the older layout. Once I had gotten comfortable with the previous version, the new one felt like it showed less information on each page than before.

fantastic value and support

Pros

The system has been proven incredibly user friendly for both my firm and our clients. It offers a lot for the price which makes it a really strong value. Customer support has been consistently helpful whenever we've needed assistance and the document management feature is something we rely on every single day.

Cons

Every now and then, the homepage gets updated and it takes a little time to adjust to the changes. Billing can also be a bit confusing at times but the customer support team is always available and helpful when questions come up.

Very fast uploads and helpful alerts

Pros

Uploading documents in MyCase has been incredibly easy. I can just drag files into the portal and they load very quickly which saves a lot of time. Overall the system has been consistently reliable for me and I have not run into any problems using it. I also like how well it communicates scheduled updates because it makes it simple to plan ahead without any disruption.

Cons

If I had to point to anything, it would be the price. Even then, it is hard to call it a real downside since other legal software options are priced similarly or even higher.

Powerful case management tools

Pros

It is user friendly while still offering a really great set of case management features. It includes everything I need to stay on top of client documents, communication and billing in one place. The client portal is especially helpful since clients can log in and access their files and I can also share documents with them or with others whenever needed. The billing side is very capable too, with features for time tracking, invoice generation, direct billing and more.

Cons

One issue I have run into is with the Adobe integration. From time to time, the desktop app crashes when I am doing more advanced edits to an Adobe file and then try to save it to this tool through the desktop app.

organized cases and deadlines

Pros

Keeping client files, deadlines and documents in one place has made my workflow much more efficient. I can stay organized and manage everything without jumping between different systems.

Cons

I feel like the payment section could be improved. Also it is not always easy to find detailed information on payments, refunds and transaction history. Plus it would be much more helpful if invoices, received payments, issued refunds and trust account transactions were all clearly combined and easy to access within each case file.

Really like the strong integrations

Pros

It is helpful for keeping everyone on my team aligned on what's happening in a case has been a big advantage. It pulls together emails, portal messages, texts and other communications so the full progress of a matter is visible to everyone which is really important. The integrations with other software apps are also a major plus and it handles that part very well.

Cons

The leads kanban doesn't offer much value because it isn't connected to email so it ends up having very little real functionality.

Handy case management tools

Pros

Using it has been pretty stress free especially when it comes to the overall usability. The document management works well, having MyCase Drive locally on my computer is very convenient and the calendar and payment management features are both really useful in day-to-day work.

Cons

One thing that's missing is the ability to send text messages or other client communications in Spanish. It also would help a lot if emails and texts with case updates could be sent to clients automatically or connected to workflows.

very easy and valuable tool

Pros

It is fairly easy to use and it gives me strong value for tracking case matters, everything from notes and e-signatures to sending texts to clients is covered. Taking payments from clients is simple too because LawPay plugs into the system and I can even set up payment plans. The customer support has been decent in my experience with the AI handling most common questions.

Cons

When I signed up I received a promotional discount but that benefit vanished after the first year even though I was assured it would remain. This might not be unique to MyCase, yet it makes me feel somewhat stuck because I have a lot of case and matter data stored here. Migrating everything could be a real headache if pricing stops being completely competitive.

It's very interactive and easy to use, packed with a lot of features, with new features added frequently and it can handle electronic billing without issue.

Cons

Organized and simple in one place

Pros

I really liked how well-organized and efficient 8am MyCase felt, it made tracking my cases simple, let me communicate directly with clients and helped me keep on top of deadlines, everything was available in one place so I could focus and stay organized.

Cons

Occasionally I noticed the platform slowed down when I was juggling several cases or uploading big files and those lag spikes would disrupt my workflow.

Keeps my whole case work organized

Pros

I have been using it for more than ten years and can't imagine how I managed before it. It keeps every part of my case work organized and accessible from invoicing and billing, staying connected with clients to scheduling and appointments.

Cons

My problems are really tiny and pretty much 'inside baseball.' There are a couple of formatting quirks I'd tweak and I can think of a few extra reports I'd like to see added. For example, I'd love a column that lets me sort cases by their closed date.

Outstanding & easy document handling

Pros

Highly recommended this!

Pros

I've been using it and I am genuinely satisfied with it. The support staff are fantastic, they reply quickly, know what they're talking about and are truly helpful whenever something comes up. Another plus is how easy it is to use, the layout feels natural and I got comfortable navigating it pretty quickly. Managing documents is also very easy, files are organized well and I can upload, locate and securely share documents with clients without any issue.

Cons

One area I'd like to see improved is the range of integrations. it functions very well on its own but I often wish it would tie into a few more of the third-party apps and services I rely on every day. It's not a deal-breaker, just an enhancement that would make an already solid platform even more useful.

simple to use with great support

Pros

love how simple the software is to use and the customer support team is extremely helpful and knowledgeable whenever you get stuck and need extra assistance. The document management is fantastic and significantly reduces the workload, particularly for managing a law firm. I also love the invoicing tools and the integration with LawPay makes payments so much simpler. Whenever I report bugs or problems they get fixed quickly and the payment options offer great value for the price.

Cons

the only issue I faced is that when I add contacts in it, they don't sync or import into Outlook which I found inconvenient for keeping my address book up to date.

very simple and good value

Pros

The interface has been interactive and very simple to work with. At first I worried that switching from MyCase to 8am MyCase could introduce problems but that concern turned out to be unfounded (yes, a little case-related pun there), luckily. For what it costs, it feels like a solid value and the support team remains excellent. Beyond basic functions, it helps us manage documents and run the firm in a broader, more holistic way. The invoicing tools have been consistently excellent. Billing is handled smoothly and it makes it easy for me to produce clear invoices that clients actually understand while accepting payments online or through other methods.

Cons

I was a little surprised when they switched to it, though I can't really point to anything I dislike about it. The platform still meets every requirement we have for case management, so it checks all of the boxes for our firm's needs.

Simple but logs out too fast

It is simple and very convenient. What I like most about my case is the invoicing feature.

Cons

I really dislike it when the site abruptly kicks me out of my session without a 15 to 30 second warning, that lack of notice is very inconvenient.

A top tool for work and invoices

Pros

this has become my go-to work tool. In the Billing Department where I handle invoices and client accounts, It really feels like one of the best applications available. Managing follow-ups is simple and efficient and the option to create tasks assigned to myself as reminders helps me stay on top of deadlines and daily responsibilities. Their support team is knowledgeable, quick to respond and genuinely attentive whenever I need assistance. After over twenty-five years in various law firms, I can say without hesitation that this is the top solution I've used and I gladly recommend it.

Cons

The only drawback I've faced so far is that when it integrated with LawPay it introduced some errors into important data that had been stored in it previously.

Tightly linked in one single place

Pros

Everything is tightly integrated, accounting, payment processing, messaging and calendar, so I have a single place to view an entire client's file including their payment history which has been really effective for our team. Whenever we've run into problems with the accounting add-on, customer support has responded quickly and resolved things fast.

Cons

My main con is that the company changed its name to "8am." It throws me off when I see times in my inbox because I have to pause and remind myself that an "8am" notification isn't an appointment but a case-related alert. I'm really hoping they'll pick a different name in a future rebrand.

efficient solution!

Pros

One of the things I like most about the site is the Tasks feature along with the Calendar. Tasks especially help me stay organized across everything I do and creating invoices is pretty simple and works efficiently.

Cons

When there are many alerts, the reminder pop-ups tend to get messy and overlap which makes it hard to keep track of everything. I'd prefer if it could push separate pop-up notifications outside the browser, maybe appearing straight on my screen.

good calendar and client reminders

Pros

I've found the calendar feature to be excellent and being able to send appointment reminders to clients has been a huge help. Our customers definitely appreciate this functionality and it simplifies scheduling for us.

Cons

We're frustrated that the system won't let us pay multiple invoices in a single transaction, so right now we're forced to process each invoice one by one. This becomes really time-consuming when we're talking to a client on the phone or meeting with them in the office.

Great support, worth the cost!

friendly tools and smooth workflow

Pros

UI is incredibly user-friendly and it offers alot of tools for organizing a case, it also helps me keep a smooth workflow so nothing slips through the cracks.

Cons

better fit for our firm

Pros

After evaluating several platforms, we moved from our previous CMS to MyCase and in my experience it clearly matched our firm's needs better than any of the others.

Cons

when folders are present I can't get a simple, flat list of every file for a quick glance, instead I have to dig into each folder to find things. While there is a search box, it isn't always reliable because court filings sometimes come back with odd or generic filenames and whoever uploaded the document often didn't rename it which makes finding those items even more frustrating and time-consuming.

Covers almost every need I have!

Pros

It covers almost every feature I need. It handles billing, invoicing, accounting, case management and task tracking and it doubles as a CRM. It even automatically logs communications, mainly texts and emails. I've organized basically all of my workflows and daily activities around MyCase for good reason.

Cons

There are a few improvements I wish it would make. While I feel the platform offers strong value for larger firms, the pricing feels quite high if you're a solo practitioner like me, so I'd love to see a cheaper, single-user tier aimed at one-person practices. Also, it lacks built-in client scheduling which would be really helpful. Aside from these issues, it's an excellent tool.

Simple to use with great help

Pros

Awsome support but changes too often
