Fantastic notes and task tools

Pros

For me, the Notes and Tasks tools are fantastic for staying organized and keeping everyone in the loop.

Cons

At this point, I haven't come across anything I dislike I am still getting to grips with all the fantastic features.

Keeps client details neatly organized

Pros

I can keep all my client details neatly organized along with case notes which lets me track what work has already been completed and what tasks are still outstanding.

Cons

It would be helpful if the software could automatically generate case numbers for us, since I currently have to create them manually.

Quick to learn with easy onboarding

Pros

Even employees who have not worked in law before pick up Casepeer very quickly and have very little trouble figuring out how to use it in a short amount of time. We also appreciated that there was not a drawn-out onboarding period thats a common headache when changing case management systems. Plus the ability to text clients and let them e-sign documents that automatically upload into their file was particularly helpful during the COVID period.

Cons

I find it less user-friendly on mobile devices and tablets which is a bit frustrating because sometimes I need to access case files while I am traveling. I'd much prefer to use my iPad instead of being tied to carrying a laptop around. That said, I had to think long and hard about what I liked least, because overall Casepeer has delivered excellent results for our team.

effortless client search

Pros

I find it reallyeasyto search for clients and grabbing their paperwork to download is a breeze.

Cons

For me, the notes section becomes overwhelming once I download every piece of paperwork, making it hard to sort through everything.

Helpful core tools, some features confuse

Pros

I rely mostly on the task, calendar and note tools for our day-to-day work.

Cons

I have found that most of our clients end up needing the same step by step guidance repeatedly just to get signed up for the portal, so a brief, clear note or walkthrough for new users would be really useful. Also the Chart Squad tool doesn't seem to function and many features like the document organization feel confusing, so we tend not to use them.

effective client communication

Pros

One of the things I like most about it is how simple it makes reaching a client. I can call or email from within the platform but I especially like that it includes built-in texting. I find clients are much easier to get in touch with via text, particularly when they're at work and cannot take phone calls, so messages tend to get quicker responses.

Cons

I'd really like the texting feature to support sending photos, because being able to attach images would make client communication so much more efficient.

Simple case tracking, calendar frustrations

Pros

it issimpleto use and I rely on it to keep track of cases so no client gets neglected.

Cons

When handling litigation calendaring and discovery tasks, I find the calendar system won't merge items properly which is frustrating.

Easy navigation and collaboration tools

Pros

The thing I really like about CASEpeer is howeasyit is to navigate through cases. Having every piece of case information grouped together makes it so much easier to manage everything in one place. I also find the collaboration tools veryeasy to use as colleagues can leave notes, assign tasks and continue adding documents and updates without any hassle. it is especially helpful to be able to see when a case status changes, for example from Intake to PreSuit and to know who made that change.

Cons

Since I am still very new to it, I may have simply missed this but I would find a Download Case option extremely useful. it is essential for me to keep backups of all case data on a separate server. The product is very effective within its own environment, yet it would be much more convenient to download all case information and documents directly from CASEpeer instead of manually transferring everything. Having that feature would simplify routine backups and give me peace of mind that our records are stored off-site. Again it is possible this functionality exists and I just haven't discovered it yet so I'll be doing more exploring.

Clear interface

Pros

Overall the interface isclearand user-friendly. I also liked being able to seamlessly sync Events with our Google calendar.

Cons

My experience is that the ability to customize CasePeer to fit our needs was minimal. At my last firm we used FileVine which was hard to learn but very customizable and really easy once set up to use.

Simple quick platform access

Pros

I appreciate how simple it is to get into the platform quickly.

Cons

On my phone, I am not thrilled with the app it feels clunky and I'd much prefer a true mobile-optimized sign-in instead of relying on the web-based login on a device.

User-friendly with e-signature and templates

Pros

I find the product veryuser-friendlyand mostly self-explanatory which makes getting started painless. I also love that I can send documents to clients for signatures through the e-signature feature. Another plus is being able to build templates that I can email not only to clients but to adjusters as well, saving time.

Cons

What bugs me is that I cannot send a document or photo to a client through the text portal which feels limiting. I also struggle with the cost tab even after training I received, I still have questions and find parts of it confusing and not asclearas I'd hoped.

Pros

I like that once I add providers to one file, I can search for those same providers in a different file.

Tailored for pi best practices

Pros

CASEpeer is built specifically for Personal Injury work and I like that every capability seems crafted around established best-practice workflows.

Cons

What I find limiting is that I cannot assign tasks to individual users straight from the mail center while I am reviewing new documents which would streamline our workflow.

An impressively simple and customizable platform

Pros

Everything about Casepeer impresses me. Whenever I visit a law firm that isn't using Casepeer, I make a point of recommending it and more often than not I have been able to help them get it up and running. The platform issimpleto learn and highly customizable. I count on Casepeer for nearly all of my daily responsibilities and for staying in touch with clients it genuinely keeps me organized, records every action taken on a file and tracks the time I have invested. After trying many other similar programs, none have matched Casepeer for me.

Cons

I honestly don't have any complaints this continues to be my go-to and favorite case management software.

Organized day with essential client messaging

Pros

CASEpeer's Tasks feature really keeps my day organized and on track. I depend on both the automated reminders and the tasks I enter myself to get through everything while I am working. On top of that, having a built-in way to message clients is a lifesaver since many of them would rather text than call. And whenever I reach out using the Chat tool, the CASEpeer support team consistently replies fast.

Cons

I have been using the product since 2019 and I have noticed the cost keeps going up.

Client texting and exceptional support

Pros

For our firm, the client-texting feature has truly changed how we operate and the task management tools are equally invaluable. What stands out most to me though is their customer support as they respond quickly, are genuinely pleasant to work with and have even built in a couple of enhancements we suggested based on our practice needs.

Cons

I find that when you're running a complex litigation practice, the discovery and litigation-tracking features aren't as clear or as comprehensive as I'd like. It can be a real challenge to monitor service and pleadings in cases involving multiple parties but only one named defendant, for example when trying to serve a UIM carrier.

Neatly organized with full history

Pros

I have found Casepeer keeps everything neatly organized, including older case notes going all the way back to when each client's file was first created. That makes it much easier to keep track of every client's records.

Cons

One feature I wish Casepeer offered is the ability to connect and transcribe phone calls, because I think that would make it clearer when each person spoke with a client.

User-friendly texting and photo uploads

Pros

Several features of CASEpeer appeal to me but my favorite has to be the texting function. It means I don't have to use my personal phone and I can skip calling clients for small asks like requesting they sign a document I emailed or confirming an address. Another thing I really appreciate is that when a client sends photos they automatically get uploaded into the photos section which saves me a ton of time. Overall I find CASEpeeruser-friendlyand efficient to work with. The whole team relies on it every day in our office.

Cons

the frustrating limitation is that I cannot edit my notes because I don't have admin privileges. On occasion I make typos and it is annoying having to always bother the office manager to fix them, particularly since she's often swamped with other tasks.

Great reports, calendar lacks overview

Pros

What I really like is being able to generate different kinds of reports, because that lets me monitor many cases and deadlines simultaneously without losing track of anything.

Cons

The main calendar is frustrating when I try to view an entire month at once as it is hard to take in all the events. In litigation I often need a full-month overview to spot deadline clusters and conflicts but when I reach the bottom of the month I cannot scroll down to see items that fall there. I usually switch to the week view which is usable, yet it doesn't solve all situations because sometimes I need to compare two weeks side by side and I cannot display them simultaneously which slows me down.
