“Simply billing process
Pros
I appreciate the interface and the way Clio emphasizes profitability while showing my earnings. The billing process is simple, and I love the preset feature for generating reports.
Cons
I've noticed that Clio often experiences latency issues. It would also be beneficial if Clio could automatically add time entries for completed tasks along with their estimated times.

“Clio's has lost all its credibility
Pros
Clio used to provide responsive and helpful customer support, but that was years ago! It was once easy for me to track and link payments to client matters, run insightful reports, and manage cloud-based documents, but lately, I've encountered a plethora of bugs.
Cons
It has numerous bugs, and its cloud-based document system tends to fail completely every few weeks, forcing me to reinstall the desktop launcher. Also, Clio unexpectedly removed certain features that allowed for linking card payments from Clio Scheduler, a sister program, which retroactively altered the way all prior card payments were categorized, throwing my firm's entire accounting system into disarray overnight. The tech support at Clio has proven to be inadequate, as they are often unaware of any serious issues I raise about the software. They routinely place me on hold to "talk to their team," stalling while asking for more screenshots of the problems I face, only to inform me a week later that they cannot assist. The software has really declined in quality and now seems like a costly collection of buggy integrations, paired with tech support that lacks understanding of their own product.

“Happy that we made a transition and chose Clio
Pros
I transitioned to Clio because Thomson Reuters discontinued its Firm Central case management product, and I was in need of a replacement. Clio offers all the functionalities that Firm Central had, but it does so through a more logical, easier-to-navigate interface. I discovered that I could get started with minimal instruction. The onboarding process with Clio was highly effective.
Cons
Clio was designated as Thomson Reuters' preferred partner to replace Firm Central, so I expected their team to be better equipped to assist with the migration process from Firm Central to Clio. While their team did manage to migrate my data smoothly, that "data" didn't include documents, which were a significant portion of what I had stored in Firm Central. It didn't offer any guidance on transferring those documents and simply recommended three third-party vendors. I reached out to one that claimed to specialize in migrations to Clio, but they quoted me $3,000 just to upload my files into Clio, and I would still have to figure out how to extract them from Firm Central, which was my main hurdle. Once I had downloaded the files, uploading them to Clio was simple. Regardless, the instructions from Firm Central were helpful, and the process overall went fairly smoothly.

“Clio's - Great work partner
Pros
The interactive design, excellent customer service, product innovation, and, of course, the ability to provide the services we are dedicated to stand out for me.
Cons
The cost is higher than most programs, but just like our services, I feel it's worth the investment.

“Awesome product + amazing support
Pros
The ease of use, integration with Outlook, document signing, and management of matter stages are all impressive.
Cons
One drawback I've observed is the absence of two-way synchronization with email when it comes to billing processes.

“Perfect for law firms. Get it today!!!!!
Pros
It has everything necessary for a law firm to function smoothly. If it lacks something, it integrates with the required applications. It truly is the complete package.
Cons
I wish it could manage accounts other than just Trust Accounts.

“You can customize it easily.....
Pros
The amazing design, smooth e-signing, customizable invoices designed to our firm using templates for each client, and the ease of cleaning up others' time entries as an admin all contribute to making my job more efficient and enjoyable.
Cons
It would be helpful if it could integrate my state laws and guidelines into the calendar. For instance, if I'm handling a slip and fall case in Connecticut, it would be beneficial if the calendar reminded me to input all my scheduling order dates and alerted me when discovery is due according to statute. Also having an in-office chat feature would be a great improvement! When we save emails from Outlook, the organization is not very beneficial for some attorneys, and we're unable to edit that. I also think AI integrations would be a valuable addition!

“Using Clio since 2020
Pros
Since starting my firm in 2020, I've been using Clio Manage and find it highly responsive to my needs. Recently, I also began utilizing Clio Grow, which I didn't think would significantly impact my workflow, but I was completely mistaken. I enjoy the interface, the support is solid, and it meets all my needs. I highly recommend it.
Cons
The initial onboarding experience was excellent, but once I was up and running, I felt somewhat abandoned. That's understandable, yet I have a suspicion that there are features I could be utilizing that would be beneficial, which I'm not aware of either because they didn't exist during my onboarding or I didn't see the need for them initially and have since forgotten about them. A six-month or one-year review could address this, though it's not critical. Perhaps for firms with more users or a broader range of services, they would be more proactive in following up with Clio. It's tough to pursue something when you don't even know it exists.

“Clio has multiple useful features
Pros
The time management feature is useful on a case-by-case basis, along with the invoicing and payment integration.
Cons
I was unable to modify the fields to my preferences. It seems designed specifically for law practices rather than for other types of consulting.

“It's a trap!!!!
Pros
I tested Clio, but to try Clio Grow, you have to subscribe to a paid trial first. I was not satisfied with it. It's nearly impossible to cancel the product, and they continue to charge my credit card without my consent, so caution is advised! It feels like a trap.
Cons
I encountered a fraudulent subscription deduction issue. There's no way to cancel a subscription once it's set up, and I can't find a fax number for communication. My emails received confirmations, yet the deductions continue.

“Integration capabilities are top-notch
Pros
I truly like the integrations that this software offers, as they allow me to connect with other tools and applications that I frequently use.
Cons
The automation features with custom fields leave much to be desired, and we're forced to rely on secondary programming that still doesn't fully meet our needs. The reporting tools could also use improvements. Plus we would appreciate better integrations between Clio Grow and the inbox with the Quick Intake form.

“Compatibility with YoCierge makes it my fav....
Pros
Overall, Clio performs well, it's a very efficient online management tool for personal injury cases. I appreciate its compatibility with YoCierge, a medical record retrieval company, which facilitates smooth case management.
Cons
My only concern with Clio is how it processes expenses for each case.

“User-friendly but customer support is not the best
Pros
It offers an cohesive user design, effective case management, and combines scheduling between potential and existing clients. It serves as a comprehensive client management system that places client files at my fingertips, whether I'm in the office or working remotely.
Cons
I struggled without assistance from customer support to create document templates that merge properly for my invoices, pleadings, and letters.

“Filled with errors
Pros
Time tracking is remarkably simple and easy to use, allowing me to monitor my hours with minimal effort.
Cons
There are errors in trust accounting, which is certainly alarming when the program indicates transfers from trust accounts to a balance, but the transactions don't reflect accurately on the balance.
