It's not easy to correct or edit entries. When I'm in a journal, I can't click to edit; I have to leave the screen and navigate elsewhere, which is very time-consuming. Also, I don't appreciate that I can't just "view" reports; everything must be downloaded, which takes time. When I reached out to support about the lines appearing in my view report, I was told it was a glitch, which is frustrating. I find it far from intuitive. Downloading bank statements for reconciliations is cumbersome and, frankly, often doesn't work.

The software is remarkably user-friendly, making it a pleasure to use. One of the features I particularly enjoy is the capability to print all the checks I need at the same time, whether it's for various purposes or specifically for settling invoices.

Navigating through its options can be a bit challenging, as it doesn't seem to offer the straightforwardness that I would hope for in a user interface. While many other parts of the software are quite accessible, customizing invoices feels complicated and requires a bit of trial and error to understand fully.

The best thing about Cosmolex is definitely its built-in accounting features. It is incredibly convenient to have everything included in one system.

Well the user interface is not as simple as it should be which slows down our work. Also it is missing some major tools like a true universal search and the ability to edit things in bulk.

On a more casual note, beyond all the important functions, I really like the clean and soft look of the interface. It is visually comfortable and the monthly graphs and charts are fantastic for monitoring our firms income.

I initially struggled with the accounting side but that was due to my own lack of experience, not the software and the support team was very helpful in getting me up to speed.

One thing I noticed is that the Plaid connection for bank feeds sometimes stops working and needs to be manually reset to start syncing again.

Pros

Switching over to the system was a very smooth process and their team was the best to work with. Managing both the firms general accounts and trust accounts is easy too, including quarterly reports. The integration with Microsoft 365 is a huge plus as we move closer to a paperless office. Overall we are excited to start using the client portal more. Plus the Live Support is the best I have ever come across as they almost always have an answer to everything and if not, they escalate the issue and get back to you right away.

Cons

Moving from our old program required some adjustment so I would not recommend switching during a hectic season. And a feature I'd love is a combined client ledger that shows both trust and general expenses on a single page.

The features for handling billing, invoicing, payments and reconciling accounts are what I like the most as it's easy to keep track of all the money moving in and out.

There is not anything I'd call a least favorite thing, overall it is easy to use and handles everything I need to keep our office running smoothly!
