Submissions are also linked to the appropriate contact in the dashboard to avoid duplicate records and manual data entry. The feature can give firms a more consistent way to capture and organize new client information.

The platform lets attorneys track billable and non-billable time in real time or enter hours later, from desktop or mobile devices, with each entry linked to a specific matter. Its timer can pause when an attorney switches to another task or matter, helping prevent overlapping entries. The client portal enables clients and firms to securely exchange documents, with uploaded files automatically stored in the relevant matter and alerts sent when new files are added. It provides two-way messaging that logs conversations to the matter record and gives clients access to relevant messages, documents, tasks, and events. It gives firms a central place to manage client communication, document exchange, matter updates, and invoice payments.

The software turns recorded time and expenses into itemized invoices that firms can customize with their logo, notes to clients, and payment history. Invoices can be sent one at a time or in batches. For firms that bill using LEDES, it supports UTBMS codes, which can be set for the whole firm or for individual matters. Clients can pay by card or bank transfer (ACH) through payment links or the client portal, which can help firms collect payments faster.
