Offers the best support!

Pros

The customer support is excellent, the security is reassuring and documents are simple to find when needed. Our Client Success Manager has also shown us a few useful tips that save time and make working in LEAP faster and more convenient.

Cons

Nothing major comes to mind. Like any system, this systemoccasionally has technical hiccups anditcan be a bit slow at times but a quick call to the team usually gets everything sorted out.

powerful cloud legal hub

Pros

Well having cloud access and one central place for document management has made LEAP very easy to use. Also the accounting tools are helpful, the integrations with other key systems give it a lot of flexibility and the AI features add even more value to the platform.

Cons

The biggest frustrations are getting access to or contacting customer support, along with the lack of proper lead management and task management. There's also a limitation whenitcomes to usingiton Mac OS.

all-in-one client hub

Pros

Documents and all my clients together in one place is really helpful. The AI tools also look very promising and should make document creation much faster.

Cons

itdoes seem to slow my computer down and I keep getting a lot of pop-ups with a red X. On top of that some features are not very user-friendly.

The best for file tracking

Pros

From day one it has saved me a lot of time and been very easy to navigate. it has also really helped me keep my files organized and track everything more efficiently. And I even like having everything I need in one piece of software.

Cons

The software works a bit slow at times and the application takes a while to open. I am also not a fan of the accounting update that now opens in a separate window since the pop-up takes extra time to load.

Ideal for legal workflow

Pros

Having client details, document drafting, client emails, progress tracking, diarization and billing all brought together in one system makes daily work much more efficient.

Cons

One downside is that you cannot drag and drop files from other desktop applications. I also still have not gotten used to the new accounting window and I much preferred how easy the old layout was to access.

divorcemate integration is excellent :)

Pros

For family law work in BC, the best part of LEAP is how well it connects with DivorceMate. That makes a big difference when handling support calculations, agreements and court forms because you don't have to keep switching between different systems. And the all in one setup is another real plus. Moreover matter management, billing and document automation are all in one place which is especially useful for small firms that want everything centralized. Once the system is set up properly, the document automation tools and templates can save a lot of time. Routine paperwork like separation agreements and client letters becomes much quicker to prepare. Support is usually responsive and the onboarding resources are available if you are willing to put in the time.

Cons

it definitely takes time to use it as it is not very user friendly at first and getting workflows and templates to run the way you want can take a lot of effort. Customization can also feel limited or awkward unless you are well trained on it. On top of that there are occasional performance problems like lag, glitches or items not saving properly which can be frustrating when things are busy.

Powerful all-in-one productivity boost

Pros

From client management and matter tracking to financial accounting, it covers just about every part of our workflow in one place. Plus the AI tools and Autotime feature have made a noticeable difference in productivity and have helped our team work much more efficiently.

Cons

The thing that still seems limited is business law practice especially on the commercial side. The document production options are narrower than they need to be because of the current feature set.

still too much re-entry

Pros

There is definitely a learning curve with it and it takes a while to really understand how everything works. But once you get familiar with the system and figure out the details, it's actually not too bad. I am still in the process of learning it.

Cons

A frustrating part is that it still feels like you are reinventing the wheel by constantly adding and deleting information. Even after entering the data once, you still have to type it again to make sure the correct information shows up in your documents.

fantastic AI and full legal toolkit

Pros

Everything needed to run a legal practice is built into LEAP from accounting, docketing, invoicing and legal forms to document creation. The AI feature is especially impressive because it can generate complete documents from just a few prompts or clues about what is required.

Cons

Becauseitis continually being updated and developed some features occasionally create unexpected issues, particularly with the title of proceedings.

flexible setup

Pros

Working in LEAP has been very easy and my favorite part is how customizable it is. Every setting and option can be adjusted to fit the specific needs of the law firm I work for. I also really like being able to add my own precedents in just a few clicks and the integration with the Microsoft products I use all day is a big plus. Compared with the software I used before, I spend far less time on admin work and data entry.

Cons

One thing I'd still like to see initis a clearer view of a client's remaining retainer balance in the trust account when opening the accounting tab, instead of having to generate a preview invoice first. I previously used ULAW and honestly that was the one featureithandled better whenever you opened an active matter, the trust funds balance was shown right away even if no invoice had been created.

fantastic features and support

Pros

The standout parts of LEAP for me are its features, responsive customer support, strong value for money and the way it handles client management and time tracking.

Cons

The part I like least is that there have been times when an update failed and that ended up causing delays during my workday.

client management done right

Pros

Keeping client records and sensitive information organized in LEAP has been very convenient. Also the client management tools work well and the features included throughout the system are easy to use.

Cons

it is a bit slow and laggy. When too much activity is happening within a matter, itseems to affect the overall responsiveness and speed. That said I realize part of that could also be related to our own connection or internal it issues.

powerful AI and time tracking

Pros

it really opened my eyes to how much LEAP can actually do. The Client Success Manager walked me through the built-in AI features in detail and it's clear they are going to save me a lot of time while also helping a lot with client management. The time tracking feature has also been very useful.

Cons

One issue I have noticed is that there are fairly frequent syncing problems between Outlook andthis tool although client support has now explained that to me.

Great features

Pros

Client management, the feature set, data migration and customer support are the parts we rely on most and they really help simplify daily work. Matter AI is another big plus because it saves us a lot of time.

Cons

The biggest downside is the cost. That said once you understand how to use the features more effectively, the price feels justified.

Pros

The site visit and LEAP demonstration were really useful and gave a clear picture of what the platform is capable of offering.

Cons

Starting out withthis toolhas felt a bit overwhelming as a new user but this training session was helpful for understanding how to get the most fromit.

fantastic support and value

Pros

One thing that really stands out with LEAP is the customer support and client management. I never have to wait long to get help and our client success manager has been incredibly supportive and informative, whether it's by email, phone or during site visits. The pricing also feels very reasonable considering how much it provides in both service and information.

Cons

At times there is a slight lag although that may just as easily be related to our internet connection rather thanititself.

user-friendly legal powerhouse

Pros

The biggest strengths for me were how user-friendly the system is, how excellent the training has been, the integrated AI for lawyers and the support team.

Cons

Well I ran into a few glitches betweenitand Word but those have since been fixed and I can now confidently sayitis an excellent software.

highly efficient tool

Pros

LEAP has been very user-friendly and easy to work with. Whenever we've had any issues, they have been handled very quickly online, with a follow-up call when needed which has been really reassuring.

Cons

There aren't any real downsides toitbecauseitworks as a very efficient case management system. If anything, the only limitation is that we probably aren't usingitto its full potential yet although that's something we expect to do going forward.

All case files in one place

Pros

Having every case file consolidated into a single platform has been a huge benefit. it also makes it simple to check other attorneys files when they're out of the office and a client needs assistance.

Cons

The templates can be difficult to work with especially whenitcomes to formatting. I usually have to rely on my paralegal to make revisions and clean up the format.

powerful features and constant improvements

Pros

LEAP offers a really powerful set of features so you can use just the basics or take full advantage of everything it includes depending on what you need. Another big plus is the development team behind it as they are excellent at listening, updating and consistently working to make the software better over time.

Cons

One limitation is that it still does not work with Google Calendar and only works with Microsoft Outlook. Our firm uses Google for both email and calendar and I know many smaller firms do the same. And I would really like to see it work with Google Calendar as well as other major scheduling platforms.
