“useful AI and practice tools”
Pros
Coming from a family law firm perspective, DivorceMate was the main reason we switched but the AI features and practice management tools have turned out to be very useful as well. After moving over, we've really come to appreciate the software overall.
Cons
Our move from CLIO was challenging in the beginning especially with data migration but that was also partly because we were one of the first firms to adoptthis tool.

“responsive support”
Pros
Whenever training comes up or an issue needs attention, the team is very much reachable and makes sure it gets fully resolved. Their response time is quick and having one dedicated representative assigned to the firm is something I really like.
Cons
There are still some recurring glitches with the Microsoft Word and Outlook integrations. On top of that the QBO upload feature is occasionally paused or doesn't work when needed.

“Pretty decent software”
Pros
After 10 years of using LEAP, I still like having the whole file managed from one screen including emails and financials. Plus it keeps everything in one place and makes daily work much more convenient.
Cons
Lately I feel likeitis getting harder to keep up with. There are so many features now that we do not really know how to use and about half of the new buttons are not useful for our workflow.itis also disappointing that we still cannot text clients like you can with other products. On top of that the glitches seem to be happening more often and some forms are dropping out of automation as the technology keeps changing.

“powerful legal tools and security”
Pros
Having everything in one secure platform is a big advantage for a modern legal practice especially with the built-in AI and backup included. it also comes with useful legal features such as secure document sharing, document drafting and research tools which makes it a strong all in one system.
Cons
itis not very user friendly and has quite a few glitches. its integration with Microsoft Office apps is especially unreliable, as saving documents intoitfrom Outlook, PDF or Word is not easy and often involves a small pop-up window with no clear destination folder. In accounting, dockets often have to be entered multiple times before they submit properly. One of the biggest limitations is thatitstill depends on the classic version of Outlook which is outdated and restricts full use of Microsoft Office applications. Another ongoing frustration is thatitswindows always open in awkward default sizes so they need to be manually adjusted every time which is inefficient. Search history in Matter AI chat cannot be accessed by other users anditshould really include general accounting instead of making firms rely on QuickBooks. Some tools, such as the legal costs calculator, are harder to locate than they should be. The online support resources also need to be organized better so users can find information more quickly and the instructions foritstools should be clearer given the confusion around different jurisdictions like the UK, Australia and Canada. Bundle Pro still needs significant technical improvement, itis often difficult to get back to the main file menu within matters and customer service should be more available and faster when users need help.

“Helpful templates !”
Pros
it is a user friendly tool and quite efficient, plus the layout is simple to navigate. The templates and shortcuts are especially useful and help save time throughout the day.
Cons
One issue I have noticed is with searching correspondence. At times, itcan be hard to pull up a recent piece of correspondence related to what you're looking for.

“paperless workflow and tracking”
Pros
Having file contents instantly available is a big advantage. I mean working in a paperless environment makes everything more convenient and the tracking features are very helpful. Communication between users also works very well.
Cons
The accounting package still has room for improvement which is why I am only givingit4 stars. Finance charges should really be set as a default.

“helpful support & rich features”
Pros
its customer service has been quick to respond. The interface is also clean and there are plenty of features to work with. The support during the move from our old platform was well organized too making the transition much easier to manage.
Cons
Getting used to everything does take time. There are a lot of features available which is a big plus but the training did not cover all of them so there is definitely a learning curve.

“user-friendly with handy integrations”
Pros
Working in it has been very user friendly for me. Having the accounting information in a separate tab is also really helpful and the integration with QuickBooks is another feature I really like.
Cons
The reporting can be a bit tricky at times andit's not always easy to locate the exact report you need. Even with that, I would highly recommend switching toit.

“better document and email handling”
Pros
Having our Word documents and emails managed outside the program works very well for us. Also now it is much easier to coordinate when multiple people are involved and keeping track of emails is far simpler this way.
Cons
One thing that could be better is the trust accounting side. When requesting a cheque, itdoesn't flag an incorrect bank selection the way other programs do and an alert for the wrong bank would be really helpful.

“useful features but too buggy”
Pros
One thing LEAP does well is bring document and matter management, time tracking and billing together in a single platform. it also has quite a few genuinely useful features especially the option to create and customize templates that work a lot like mail merge in Office. The Divorcemate cloud integration has also been a feature I have really appreciated.
Cons
Getting started withitfelt at times like using a product that wasn't fully finished yet.ithas been very buggy. its integration with Microsoft Office is weak and those connections regularly trigger random errors or even crash Microsoft Word. I have had to fully uninstall and reinstallitmultiple times whenitgets stuck or refuses to update properly for no clear reason. For instance, I have had new matters not appear after logging in, only to find them later by searching archived matters.it's also frustrating that I cannot open multiple windows within a matter because that makes moving documents between folders more difficult thanitshould be. Performance also drops if the internet connection isn't strong and overallitdoesn't feel user friendly since many tools aren't located where you'd normally expect them to be.

“powerful estate planning workflow”
Pros
Switching to LEAP made sense for me because Wealth Counsel comes bundled with it for $200 per user each month. There are some really strong points here. Such as document automation is much simpler in it than it ever was for me in Clio. it also comes with prebuilt tables for different practice areas that identify and link everyone connected to a matter. In estate planning for example it walks you through entering family members, heirs, different types of assets, executors, agents and more. After that, one click pushes the information into Wealth Counsel, where you finish the interview and build the estate plan the same way you normally would. So far, I have barely needed to create custom fields because the practice area templates already include most of the roles and data points I need to track. The document automation features are especially useful because you can build a repeating table, program one row and have it generate as many rows as needed. If there are 10 heirs, I just set up the needed fields in my Word table through its add-in tab and it automatically pulls in data for however many heirs I entered. I have completed around 10 to 15 estate plans using it with Wealth Counsel and I am excited to keep using it as that side of my practice grows. The integrations available seem to be more fully developed by LEAP itself so they feel less buggy than many of the app connections I dealt with in Clio. The tool also added a Zapier integration last year which opens the door to connecting it with almost anything and my firm is still building that out. Their AI assistant, LawY, has been outstanding. I have used it to revise fee agreements and draft a demand letter. it reviews the information already stored in the matter, applies some legal analysis and produces very readable drafts although any case law it cites absolutely needs to be checked because it can make mistakes.
Cons
A few issues still stand out. The desktop app is not ADA compliant for visually impaired users which is a serious gap.italso has a buggy relationship with Adobe because I cannot save directly from Adobe intoitand instead have to import PDFs through File Explorer. The desktop app's Microsoft Word and Excel integration can also be flaky and sometimes the error messages get stuck in a loop where I have to open Task Manager, forceitclosed and restartit. There's definitely a steep learning curve withit though onceitstarts to click, itperforms well.italso took me some time to get used to the wayithandles contacts but now I actually appreciate its setup for separating contact cards and people.

“amazing support and training”
Pros
Right from the start our support contact has been fantastic. I ran into a technical problem and after I emailed her, she called me straight away, helped me through it and got it sorted quickly. I have since booked several training sessions so I can make full use of the system and that has been really worthwhile. it also makes a big difference that she has real legal industry knowledge so the guidance she gives is genuinely helpful.
Cons
To me itdid feel a bit technical in the beginning but once I understood how to useitproperly,it's been excellent.itjust takes a little time to get familiar with.

“Powerful all-in-one case management”
Pros
it felt like a complete case management system that covers a lot without making me pay for extra add-ons. Everything I need is already built into the program which has been a big plus. The training has also been much better than with other software because I get help from real people instead of just being sent YouTube videos during onboarding. Whenever I have questions, I can reach out to my contact and talk things through with them. I also really enjoy having LawY and the Matter AI features included as part of the package.
Cons
There are still a few things missing. There is no CRM, no option for client portals like some other platforms offer and there is no dashboard feature.italso is not cloud-based so I cannot log in from different computers.

“feature-rich platform”
Pros
From security to daily performance, it has been very reliable for us, with no downtime apart from planned maintenance that was communicated well in advance and scheduled outside business hours. Our migration from PCLaw which we had used for more than 12 years, was managed carefully and with strong communication throughout. The software itself is packed with features, offering several ways to capture information and track events within matters. its search tools are especially detailed, with multiple ways to narrow down exactly what you need. Having that kind of quick access during client conversations and follow-up work really helps build client confidence. Support is also quick and simple to reach online and the Client Success Managers are knowledgeable, respectful and genuinely helpful. Our Client Success Manager has been an especially valuable resource and truly represents outstanding customer care.
Cons
One limitation we ran into was with our Oil and Gas specialty area, where we wanted to create a separate heading folder. We weren't able to setitup exactly that way and instead had to placeitas a subfolder under Real Estate lease.itworks and was a reasonable solution but having a bit more flexibility with folder headings would have madeitfeel more tailored to our needs.

Pros
Everything I need from a practice management suite is included in one place from forms to the financial tools and requirements. Also the AI prompts keep getting better and the integrated LawY feature has also been genuinely helpful.
Cons
Some forms don't populate the way they should. That said there's a Feedback button built in to report the issue tothe company and they usually getitsorted out within a day or so.

“Provides complete legal file access”
Pros
Working in both bookkeeping and as a paralegal has given me experience with both the front and back end of LEAP and it has been very user friendly overall. Plus it comes with strong features, the search function works well and the time tracking is excellent. Trust accounting is built right into it which is very helpful. And since it is cloud based, I can access files from anywhere and log in whenever I need to. Everything connected to a matter is kept in one place, including emails, documents, notes and billing so finding information quickly is much easier. They also roll out regular updates and improvements which is nice to see.
Cons
One frustration is that if you make a mistake during a reconciliation, you cannot simply undoitand correctit soithas to be done properly the first time. Support can also take a while depending on the issue. Usually you have to start with chat and if they cannot resolveit, the escalation process can take a few days. There have been times when I really needed someone to remote into my computer right then to see the issue asitwas happening.itwould be much more useful if chat support could remotely access the system to view the problem and help fixiton the spot. We also ran into some challenges during the data migration from PC Law that required workarounds.

“Innovative tools for family law”
Pros
LEAP keeps bringing in new technology and features that really benefit family law firms. The integrations with other products save our team a lot of time and help reduce costs for clients as well. I also like how consistently it pushes to develop new solutions instead of staying stagnant.
Cons

Pros
A big reason I value LEAP is our Client Success Manager. He has been fantastic to work with and consistently goes above and beyond whenever we need help resolving issues.
Cons
What would really improveitfor us is faster, more responsive help from the Helpdesk, along with direct access to knowledgeable experts who can quickly diagnose and fix problems without delays or constant follow-ups. “excellent training”
Pros
LEAP stood out because the tools are excellent and easy to learn and use. A big reason for that is the outstanding training provided by its installers and trainers. Not long after installation, I was already entering client data and opening matters and within a week I had started billing. it's clear the software was built by lawyers who understand the key parts of client management. The search feature saves a lot of time, documents can be stored directly in the client's matter, duplication is reduced and overall it delivers strong value for the money.
Cons
One downside is that the cost of training had been a barrier for me before. I was only able to afforditbecause of a special credit offered in January since my previous firm's would not cover the training costs up front. That same cost issue also makesitharder when I recommenditto colleagues. Even so, I am thankful I was able to take advantage of the discount that was available.
