“MyCase does more than we expected
Pros
The time management aspect and the ability to organize everything by client are fantastic. I love that I can directly message clients and have them fill out forms electronically. There's just so much this software offers.
Cons
The invoicing part can be a little challenging, but I get that it's something that's constantly evolving.

“Reasonably priced
Pros
MyCase is really simple to set up and operate while providing a wide range of features at a reasonable price.
Cons
We've integrated LawPay, but it feels like we're dealing with two separate systems when it comes to processing initial payments. Trust account payments need to be handled in LawPay and then manually entered into MyCase. Also, we use GoDaddy for email, and the email integration app doesn't work, which I really miss because it used to make billing for email communication so much simpler.

“Saves us valuable time
Pros
The reduction in paperwork alone is very valuable. We can share documents within the firm without needing extra steps. The ability to add or remove staff from individual cases ensures that the files, notes, and documents stay secure.
Cons
I'm really disappointed that they removed the ability to draft emails directly from within MyCase and attach case documents. That feature was a game-changer. Now, I have to download documents to my computer and send them via Outlook. It was much more convenient to do everything from within MyCase, and it automatically included the email in the case file, which was a huge time-saver.

“Well-organized and user-friendly
Pros
I appreciate how the interface is laid out. It feels well-organized and not overwhelming. I can find case details easily, create new cases, and manage invoices without any hassle.
Cons
There are not any major issues, it's easy to use and works great. My clients find it simple and smooth. I would, however, appreciate more options for customizing invoices. This might already be part of their premium plan, but I don't want to pay extra just for that. More flexibility with invoice customization would be a welcome improvement.

“A happy client for over a decade
Pros
It's easy to use, and new hires or interns can pick it up quickly. It's not cluttered with unnecessary features, just what we need.
Cons
Sometimes it feels like they're a bit slower than other platforms when it comes to rolling out new features or integrations.

“MyCase is simply the best
Pros
This software offers every function you could need. You can handle documents, manage deadlines, and deal with client invoices and trust accounting all in one system. And if you ever feel like something's missing, MyCase is great at taking customer feedback and updating the software accordingly. They listen to users and improve things when needed.
Cons
The monthly fee can be steep, but I feel it's worth it. I just hope MyCase doesn't realize they could start charging more.

“MyCase is Key to My Work
Pros
This program is essential for managing files daily and ensuring tasks are completed.
Cons
There's no way to set up workflows for leads. Leads are future clients, and if you don't stay on top of them, they'll go elsewhere. Just like with cases, there needs to be a way to establish workflows for leads. Also, the accounting reports could be improved. For example, if you've entered multiple billable time entries across different cases, there's no way to run a report that shows open billable time entries, which would help in seeing what's still pending. The financial reports in general are a bit complicated.

“Customer service is awful
Pros
Unlimited storage, e-signatures, somewhat open API, a case insights menu, ease of adding users, and updating case status is simple.
Cons
Here are the drawbacks: The customer service is really lacking. I'm paying for a service, and their policy is to stop phone support after six months, which I find absurd. I've paid for premium features, but the only help they offer is through linking to a YouTube page. They also seem to outsource coding and software support to third parties, which adds extra fees and integration hassles. Honestly, I'd prefer they raise the monthly fee slightly if it means better in-house support and testing, and maybe the occasional new feature. It feels like they're out of touch with what law firms need. For example, the dashboard doesn't have a call button, but it does have a sticky note feature that we rarely use. A call button would be much more practical. They're also heavily focused on their 'IQ' and billing features, while basic needs like bulk merging or a workflow-friendly template setup seem to be neglected. The reporting tools are also quite limited, and creating a custom, shareable report seems impossible. The documents section is incredibly disorganized, there are eight different types of documents in the dropdown menu, including case documents, unread case documents, firm documents, and so on. It's a mess. The advanced templates section just takes you to a screen to add the Microsoft Word plugin, which then requires you to log in to MyCase every time, rather than recognizing your machine.

“Great but has its flaws
Pros
I absolutely love the invoicing feature, the ability to monitor payments and revenue (like QuickBooks), and the option to accept physical payments.
Cons
I really wish MyCase would offer a one-on-one demo so I could fully explore all the features it has to offer.

“Works well for small companies
Pros
It's simple enough that new staff members can get up to speed quite fast.
Cons
Even though it may seem like I'm being overly picky, all these little problems really build up and create a lot of frustration. The funds I request don't show up in the case or recent activity, they only appear in the general billing for the firm and on individual contacts. There is not an app for clients and the features for the firm are pretty limited. Turning a lead into a contact takes a lot of effort because I have to enter everything again instead of having it automatically filled in from the intake forms. Admins don't have much control over firm users, like they can't add profile pictures. Also, there is no way to bill for office admin time. Phone numbers show up as one long string, which is hard to read because the font is so small. The recent update for billing with credit cards automatically opts clients in without giving a chance to change it. Daily work summary emails don't say which user they are for, which can cause confusion. There is no way to set up workflows for leads or create 'if/then' rules for tasks. Plus, I can't connect with services like Google Ads, Constant Contact, or Ring Central. On top of all this, the whole interface is just gray, which might be okay for some but feels pretty boring for others.

“MyCase is excellent
Pros
I love that I can update client info, make calls, and adjust billable hours in real-time, rather than waiting until I'm back in the office to do it.
Cons
Costs keep climbing. While it's still worth the value, my fees have almost doubled since I started using MyCase.

“Makes my job Simple - I love MyCase
Pros
I admire how easy it is to track time and expenses and to generate billing statements based on that. This was the most important feature for me. A close second is being able to access client contact info and case status details, which I track constantly through the status updates tab.
Cons
The billing system needs work. You can't add a QR code or an image other than your main logo to the invoice. Plus, they don't pass on credit card fees to clients, which is a big deal for small firms like mine, despite their claims of full LawPay integration. It's a huge problem. I use MyCase for bill generation but another program for invoicing to avoid paying hundreds in credit card fees.

“Reminders and messaging features are phenomenal
Pros
MyCase was easy to get started with. It's easy and once you understand its layout, it works smoothly. The reminders and messaging features help my team keep cases on track.
Cons
MyCase could be a bit more forgiving when it comes to mistakes, like allowing notes to be moved to the correct case file. It would also be helpful if we could track time for leads and bill them once they convert.
