“highly user friendly for new hires
Pros
It is very user friendly and simple to teach to new hires. Our office loves every feature we have tried and we know we are barely using all the capabilities it offers.
Cons
A few features could definitely be improved. The easiest one to fix in my opinion is the inability to mark a text message as unread because of this, staff members have opened texts meant for me and I have ended up missing a few important messages.

“easy to use with great billing
Pros
Finding information is easy with the search function and entering data is not a problem too. Plus I really like the built-in billing and share option that lets clients pay directly through their invoice link. Uploading documents for clients to view by simply logging in is another great feature. The team is also very open to suggestions and provides quick help when needed.
Cons
It never gives us a heads-up before they roll out new changes or update the system.

“No learning curve and very organized
Pros
The platform is so smooth that there is practically no learning curve. Also it is very organized and user-friendly. Once you log in, it just works doing everything I need in a simple and understandable way. Overall I am a huge fan!
Cons
I really wish there was a dedicated app for the client portal. I also do not like that my clients have to log in through the main website as it feels a bit clunky and unprofessional. Or maybe I am just missing where that option is?

Pros
It is very user-friendly and easy to use. I am also a big fan of the template feature which makes drafting documents much faster.
Cons
Nothing major but it would be helpful to have a search function for templates instead of just having to scroll through the entire list to find the one I need.

“A horrible product
Pros
Everything was terrible. I mean it is a horrible product with awful service. The document merger did not work and I wasted a great amount of time trying to fix my documents because information was missing and did not transfer over.
Cons
The document merge fields and the customer service were both problematic. I was told repeatedly that there was a bug in my system and that the tech team was working on it.

Pros
Seriously this is the best case management software I have used in over 20 years of private practice. It makes tracking my time and keeping files organized effortless. With LawPay integration, sending bills and getting paid is simple and it allows the firm to collect funds directly into my Trust or Operating Account. Plus the intake features like online forms and document automation are also powerful. So if you are not using MyCase, you need to ask yourself why.
Cons
If I had to find a downside it is that it is so feature-rich it's hard for one person to master it all. I feel pretty comfortable with it but I know I am not using everything to its full potential like the MailChimp integration, simply because I have not had the time to explore. That said I have no real complaints as the software and support are both excellent.

“Great organization but has some limitations
Pros
It does a great job organizing the entire case file including all communications. Clients can view their records without having to ask for copies and the text messaging feature is very useful. Time entries and basic billing are pretty simple too though split billing can get complicated, especially without the dedicated feature and even then there are some limitations.
Cons
There are a few things I would change. Such as for now I cannot send emails directly from MyCase and have to download documents first to send them. The split billing process is also frustrating as if I split an invoice between two people and only one pays, I cannot just forward the balance to a new invoice for the other person. Also Affirm payments do not apply automatically to the correct invoice and have to be manually reconciled. And sometimes the system just glitches and I cannot work at all.

I love how easy it is to let customers review their discovery through an app or website.

Well I wish that when you upload certain types of evidence like videos, you could play them directly on the site instead of having to download the file every time you want to review it.

Pros
The customer service is excellent. Any issue and there have not been many, gets a quick response from a very polite and helpful team. Plus it is great having all the tools for preparing, editing and sharing documents in one program.
Cons
We have not run into any problems that we would consider a real con. No issue has ever made us second-guess our decision to use it.

Having all client information and files in one centralized location is a huge convenience.
Cons
The main drawbacks are that it can be tricky to organize all the built-in and custom data in a user-friendly way. The available training also seems a bit insufficient and it takes time for even experienced attorneys to learn and feel comfortable with all the features.

MyCase has a clean, user friendly interface that makes tracking a case's progress simple and improves client communication. The built-in task management and document sharing tools are also very effective.
Cons
Renaming a document is frustrating because hitting enter often glitches and does not save the new name. The system can also be slow to load files and the search function is not always reliable or quick.

Pros
You can see all your essential information on a single screen. I mean it is simple and visually clear. The new user interface is also great to work with and there seems to be unlimited storage for documents.
Cons
Searching for anything other than a name can be tough. The recent searches dropdown is also very limited and I wish I could change the interface color to make different sections easier to distinguish.

I really like how easy it is to use and the ability to create custom workflows. The program makes managing cases and tracking deadlines effortless. They have also been consistently adding more integrations which is a great plus.
Cons
Linking emails to cases is useful but I'd prefer if the program had its own built-in email system. Right now it just integrates into my existing Gmail or Outlook.

Pros
This has been the best investment my firm has made. Communicating with both current and potential clients is simple and it is easy to update information and track time spent on cases. So I would highly recommend MyCase to anyone in the legal field.
Cons
My only real complaint is that if a client changes their phone number, the old text message history does not stay connected to their file.

Pros
The support staff is very responsive to questions and takes suggestions for improvement seriously. The program keeps all my cases organized and even though I am a solo practitioner and don't use every function, it has all the capabilities I need.
Cons
Its a bit inconvenient that you cannot add multiple cases for the same client all at once. I mean would be a huge help if you could open a new case and have most of the clients information auto-populate from their existing profile.

It's a basic system that is easy to understand and use. Our firm has mostly older attorneys and none of us have had any trouble learning how to use it.
Cons
The price is my main concern. Like I would really like to see a quarterly payment option and maybe a discounted rate for small firms. I think it could be made more affordable for solo practitioners and small practices.

“Perfect task and workflow management
Pros
The task management system combined with the workflow features are probably my favorite parts of MyCase. As a litigation firm I can make sure every step of the process is accounted for and that the overall system is functioning smoothly.
Cons
Its new interface does not have a dark mode. Because the current one is too bright and strains my eyes. Also I cannot apply workflows to new leads which would be really useful since I follow the same steps for every intake.

This program has organized my office exactly how I needed. Before my schedule was so hectic I would forget important tasks but not anymore. I can hang up the phone, open a file and send an invoice all within 10 minutes.
Cons
When an event syncs to my Outlook Calendar, only the task description appears and the case or matter name does not come through. So I have to manually type the matter name into each calendar entry if I want it to show up.

Pros
I really like how easy it is to stay on top of everything when creating a task. I use the checklists, comments and pop-up reminders all the time. I also love being able to edit and populate documents from the same screen and save the latest version to my files effortlessly. Plus having contacts and call logs populate automatically is also super convenient.
Cons
It is really frustrating to me that you cannot just press the Enter key to save a document name. For example sometimes I will type out a long title, hit enter and it just does not save.
