Cons

Their sales team can be a bit persistent about upgrading or purchasing additional features which becomes annoying after some point.

The interface feels really simple whether your a beginner or have years of experience under your belt. I can scan through patent literature quickly thanks to all the built-in features and I love how I can customize what information shows up and how its arranged to match my workflow. Works great for team projects too. The evaluation fields are flexible, I can adjust ratings and add custom fields depending on what each project needs. The developers keep making the GUI better and there's tons of keyboard shortcuts that speed things up. What rally stands out is how responsive they are to feedback and suggestions. They actually listen to users and implement changes fast which shows they genuinely care about the user experiance.

Cons

There are some display glitches that mainly affect advanced features and it feels like the development team doesn't get enough feedback from actual users to address these issues. I'd really love to see them add meaningful reference signs or labels to the figures to make them more useful.

PatSeer platform is incredibly user friendly for both new and experienced users. The interface is also designed to help us scan and understand patent documents quickly. We can customize how information is displayed to fit our preferences and it works great for team-based assessments with flexible rating systems and custom fields for each project. Plus they are always improving the user experience, offer plenty of keyboard shortcuts and are remarkably responsive to feedback, making it a truly user-centered tool.

Cons

There are some minor display glitches with advanced features that only power users would notice. It feels like the development team might not always get enough feedback from daily users, which lets these small issues slip through and a feature I'd love to see is the ability to label parts of a diagram directly on the image to show what each element means.

The country coverage is good but expanding it to include more traditional markets would make searches even broader. But since the platform is always growing, I am pretty hopeful these countries will be added in the future.

The chemical lookup feature really stands out to me, I find myself using it constantly. There are so many unique tools here like the search term translator and PDF Kart that you just don't see elsewhere. What I appreciate most is how well it handles patent analysis with all the bibliographic details compared to other platforms.

Cons

Sometimes the coverage feels incomplete and I've noticed it occasionally returns patent equivalents that don't actually exist which really hurts my confidence in the results when I'm doing searches.

The application status for IN records doesn't get updated properly or shows incorrect information and I've noticed problems with expiry dates for both Indian and other international patents.

The patent databases are top-tier and among the best worldwide. The platform generates highly informative landscape reports and has powerful clustering capabilities along with flexible and diverse options for data visualization.

Cons

Well the main platform is excellent and the support team is outstanding. However my main suggestion would be for them to add new types of data like venture capital investment deals, to the platform.

I'm really impressed with the comprehensive patent analytics capabilities this platform offers. The translation accuracy for non-Latin languages is spot-on and the semantic search functionality works incredibly well for finding relevant patents. Having the project management feature available makes organizing research so much easier, it's honestly my favorite part.

Search functionality isn't quite there yet and I feel like the database could cover more ground. Exporting patents is more complicated than it should be and I've noticed the expiry dates aren't always spot-on.

PatSeer interface is easy to use and delivers accurate, precise data. Also it has comprehensive coverage for all major countries and is more affordable than other competing databases.

Overall the platform works well for me but a couple of areas need work. Such as it would be great if it provided the legal status information for many countries outside the major ones. Plus how often that legal status data is updated matters too as it should be refreshed at least once a week.

UI feels really simple and easy to navigate. Information provided is spot-on and reliable. Coverage spans all the major countries I need for my work. Pricing is much more reasonable compared to other competitive databases out there.

I'm generally satisfied with everything but there are a couple areas that could use some work. First, the legal status coverage for countries outside the main regions needs expanding. Also, the legal status updates should happen more frequently, ideally at least once a week rather than the current schedule.
