easy setup with quickbooks sync

Pros

It is incredibly user-friendly and the way each function connects with the others makes it simple for work to progress without interruptions. Our accounting records were linked to QuickBooks with no trouble so our accountant could access them. It didn't take long for me to pick up the system which prevented any downtime from a steep learning curve. Whenever something was unclear, their support stepped in quickly and sorted things out effectively.

Cons

We ran into some trouble figuring out how to apply credits or write-offs to client accounts at first but I found that customer service helped us walk through it and resolved the issue fairly easily.

Pros

The team were really nice and friendly. They responded quickly and were upfront when answering my questions, even if the response wasn't in their favor. It hooks into my Dropbox smoothly and I found it easy to work within my existing folder structure.

Cons

This just wasn't a fit for my personal injury practice. Their demos made me expect far more capabilities than the product actually offered and the areas I needed most, workflows and automation, weren't delivered which left two of my biggest requirements unmet.

Helpful videos and team collaboration

Pros

Perfect for me.... I learned a tremendous amount from the built-in videos and I've been able to tailor several features to fit my company's needs, plus it helps keep my team organized and encourages collaboration among everyone.

Cons

Interface feels incomplete in many places and the customer support leaves much to be desired because there are occasions when I have to wait an uncomfortably long time before anyone helps me.

Clean interface without clutter

Pros

I'm really impressed with the UI, it's easy to use and simple and the features are exactly what I need, they're not overloaded with pointless extras that just end up cluttering my workflow.

Cons

Personally, I'd appreciate seeing a built-in, secure cloud-based native file-sharing option directly inside the software, rather than being forced to rely on DB or Box.

Smooth intake and stellar support

Pros

From the moment a client lands on our website, completes the embedded intake form and a client profile is created in this tool, I find the whole experience remarkably smooth. For us, this is just one of several time-saving features we've uncovered. This automated workflow and ability to connect systems has pushed M Legal to rethink how we operate and, more importantly, how we can align our internal processes. Having used various CRMs before, many felt clunky and isolated, unable to talk to other apps or software. PP, however, has simplified client management significantly, allowing our lawyers to remain in control from case opening right through to invoicing. We've also dealt with more than our fair share of poor technical support from other vendors, so I really appreciate that PP's support team is consistently available despite the Miami-Sydney time difference. Whether via chat, email or phone, their people are professional, well informed and persistent in seeing issues through to resolution. On almost every call they teach us something new about the PP system and I honestly can't overstate how impressed we are with what we consider stellar support service.

Cons

Of course, a product like this won't suit every legal specialty. Speaking from our experience in immigration work, the status of a case is crucial, so I'd love to see a customizable status bar as an improvement. Much of our client data comes from intake forms and we need forms that are quicker to build and able to hold more detailed information. These are the kinds of enhancements that feel like work-in-progress items but they don't detract from the core product. In my view this tool remains a well-designed, thoughtfully built CRM system despite these areas where we'd like more flexibility.

Familiar layout prevents missed tasks

Pros

Overall, I find the interface really user-friendly, its social-media-like layout feels familiar and it reliably prevents me from ever overlooking tasks that have been assigned.

Cons

I'd love an option to message the attorney directly from within an assigned task rather than just leaving internal notes on the task or matter, because notes don't notify them immediately. Ideally the attorney would get the message through the task itself and receive a clear notification so we wouldn't have to rely on sending separate emails through Gmail.

Outstanding billing support help

Pros

One of the representatives was genuinely amazing through the entire interaction. He patiently went back to the beginning and reconstructed the billing and payment setup from scratch. I had been wrestling with this account for more than a week trying to fix it and he completed everything in just under forty-five minutes.

Cons

There were minor glitches scattered throughout the experience. I couldn't tell whether the service was worth the price and there wasn't an option to select N/A when answering that question.

Fast invoicing and payments

Pros

What I love most about it is how smooth the invoicing is. Our team can produce polished invoices at month-end and receive payments fast. Honestly, we'd be stuck without the billing tools it provides and the LawPay hookup is a real perk. It lets us concentrate on practicing law and expanding our firm instead of stressing over whether clients will actually pay their bills on time each month.

Cons

I wish this tool handled multi-office firms better. Some features, like invoicing, only let me enter a single office which gets frustrating when managing multiple locations.

Affordable complete practice solution

Pros

For me, it ticks all the boxes, I enjoy every aspect of this software. It's essentially a complete solution, very simple to use and affordable too. On multiple occasions I've enthusiastically recommended it to others.

Gentle learning curve and value

Pros

As someone who runs a law practice, I've found the interface to be remarkably user-friendly, the learning curve is easily the most gentle of any firm management platform I've tried. The short tutorial videos and the in-app support chat are right where I need them, simple to follow and they actually help me get the most out of the tools. The support team has been friendly and fast to respond, so I'm not left waiting days for answers. It syncs smoothly with common tools like QuickBooks, Gmail, Outlook and other legal applications which makes my workflow much simpler. On top of that, the pricing feels fair and delivers more value compared with other options I've looked at. They also work with partners to throw in extras, like covering the cost of a LawPay account if you use it, which I appreciate and I expect those kinds of perks will continue. This software and the company have genuinely changed how I manage my firm. I'm sold on it and hopeful they keep improving and innovating.

Cons

It's still a work in progress, so a few glitches pop up now and then but overall it's the easiest firm management system I've used. Whenever I've had a problem, support fixed it quickly after a short chat. They keep rolling out new features which keeps me excited. I'm especially looking forward to voice command integration and can't wait to see how they implement it.

Scalable features with tutorials

Pros

For me, the app is easy to use and packs a lot of features. I can begin with a very basic setup (just time entries and invoicing) and then gradually enable more functions as needed. I also appreciate the many tutorial videos, they're short, efficient and genuinely helpful.

Cons

The timezone warning while traveling can't be disabled yet which is a small annoyance since it pops up on my dashboard.

easy learning across devices

Pros

It's really easy to pick up, I didn't need much time to learn it. Customer support is outstanding. I appreciate that I can use the program from anywhere, especially on my iPad and that the interface stays fairly consistent so I don't have to learn a different layout.

Cons

We find it a bit limited for estates and trusts work. For example, when managing estate planning for a married couple, the system forces me to file the Matter under only one spouse's name, so I have to create a workaround using the Relationships feature and a custom Spouse field.

Feature-rich and simple design

Pros

extremely simple and easy to navigate and it comes loaded with features, the more I work with the application, the more tools and options I discover and can regularly use.

Cons

Support helps tailor features

Pros

The software is really simple to use and the customer support actually helped me shape features so they fit my exact requirements. It felt like everyone made themselves available to assist us whenever needed.

Cons

Part of why I bought this was for the accounting features and I wish it could sync directly with QuickBooks, Xero, or FreshBooks to make my workflow smoother.

All-in-one matter management

Pros

I'm really impressed by how simple the interface is, it gives attorneys and their support staff everything they need to manage a matter from start to finish. Since they've integrated with LawToolBox for calendaring and deadline tracking, I don't see any reason to buy a separate deadline or case-management tool anymore.

Cons

Honestly, I can't think of any other major drawbacks.

Simple scheduling and invoicing

Pros

One thing I really appreciate is how easy it is to book appointments and bill clients, scheduling and invoicing are both super simple to use. The invoicing module along with the available templates has become something I rely on. By signing up through it I get LawPay at no extra cost which is awesome because it provides a built-in, secure way for me to accept credit card payments from clients. I also find the notes feature handy for jotting down details during calls or meetings. Overall, it's a great organizational system that won't break the bank, even if it's not the absolute cheapest option.

Cons

IT support is helpful when things go wrong but the follow-up calls during my trial were a bit much. I got around six calls in a month and although I spoke to real people, the conversations felt scripted and the reps pushed hard for upgrades. That made my onboarding experience more stressful than helpful.

Dedicated manager and steady updates

Pros

Having a dedicated account manager who really understands my business and what I need is wonderful. When I tell him about a problem, he actually listens and makes an effort to help me find a fix. I appreciate that your team keeps pushing out updates to improve the software. What I value most is that you concentrate on building a stronger product instead of spending all your energy on marketing. To me, that's exactly where your main competitor failed and keeps failing. Please don't ever go down that route! I'm extremely satisfied with the software and I recommend it to anyone searching for a system.

Mobile billing with integrations

I've been using PayPanther which is a cloud-based CRM and project management app that lets me send invoices to clients while I'm out and about. It has helped me bring more order to my operations, although setting up the workflow did take a fair bit of time. I like that it hooks up with other services such as QuickBooks, so I can manage invoicing and client tracking from a single spot. Their live chat meant support was quick.

Cons

From my perspective, this works really well for small businesses but I'm not sure it will scale perfectly for larger companies. I always keep future growth in mind when considering it.
