Offer handy mobile access

Pros

It is pretty easy to use and the mobile functionality has been a big plus for us as well.

Cons

It would be even more useful if it could integrate with QuickBooks.

The tool works really well

Pros

Preparing Declarations and other legal documents with ServeManager has been very easy and I am really happy with how well the functionality works.

Cons

I run three different private investigation businesses and I'd prefer to switch between entities based on the geographic area I am working in. That would save me from having to maintain three separate accounts and avoid confusing clients when those regional entities overlap.

Its a complete powerhouse

Pros

Running ServeManager gave us an all in one setup that helped save both time and money and in this line of work those are two things you cannot afford to lose. Its server database has also built a strong professional network, making it possible for a summons issued in Missouri to be served in Maine within hours. Features like online payments, cloud storage and GPS coordinates to verify serves have become essential in this constantly changing industry and it has kept pace with all of it while continuing to deliver the best process service software available.

Cons

It's not really fair to call this a downside but it was never presented as private investigator software. I did use it that way for a while until I eventually switched to another platform for that specific need. That software claimed it could also manage the process service side of my business but it never matched the convenience and usability that this one provided.

Really like the layout

Pros

ServeManager is user friendly and simple to move through. Entering data is very user friendly and the system stays just as good during everyday use. The layout makes sense and the screens are presented in a way that is logical and comfortable to look at without feeling overwhelming.

Cons

I'd really like to have the ability to sort by order number and invoice number. At the moment, the order doesn't seem to follow any clear pattern and feels a bit random. That said you can still type in the order number directly or use the job # link from the email. It would also be helpful to have a last-view option so that, for example, the invoices screen would automatically show only open invoices since that's usually what you need when going there.

reliable GPS and client updates

Pros

Real-time GPS tracking and the built in communication with clients have been incredibly valuable.

Cons

Honestly there's very little about it that I dislike.

Organized and professional reporting

Pros

ServeManager keeps everything organized for me, has a professional and consistent look, offers the best reporting and is easy to use right from my phone.

Cons

I do wish it allowed multiple serves on the same job and printing an affidavit takes more editing than it should. I feel like it would also help if the data fields remembered information in a more proper manner.

very confusing workflow

Pros

At first it looks professional but the system really isn't explained clearly so I have had to rely on a lot of trial and error to figure things out. The POS templates are another frustration because when they print, the text comes out very small and even overlaps at the bottom of the last pages which makes them unusable. It also seems to keep closed files marked as active and doesn't remove completed jobs from the GPS routes so that part doesn't work for me either. Those are just some of the issues I have run into personally. Even with all that, it's still better than having nothing so I keep using it, try to work around the problems and print my own court documents instead of using the ServeManager templates. That's honestly been my biggest disappointment.

Cons

The system is a little confusing especially for someone who isn't very tech-savvy. It also keeps old files and closed accounts showing up and I haven't been able to get them removed from the GPS routes and lists.

plug and play workforce tracking

Pros

ServeManager was basically plug and play which made setup incredibly quick. Being able to track employees and review who they attempted has been really valuable. Honestly this has been the best purchase I have ever made.

Cons

My only real downside is that I didn't start using the program sooner. Once it became part of my process, I realized I couldn't keep up with the workflow without it.

Pretty simple and efficient tool

Pros

It is very easy to use and gets right to the point without any unnecessary complexity.

helpful for job tracking

Pros

Compared with PST, this has been much more manageable for us to work with since we could never really get the hang of PST. It helps us keep track of jobs, report back to clients and generate affidavits.

Cons

The downside is that we cannot customize it to fit our specific needs.

Provide the best support

Pros

ServeManager really shines when it comes to support and usability. Also it is easy to set up, simple to navigate and the customer service is honestly better than anything else I have used.

Cons

My only frustration is needing multiple email addresses like one for my own business and another to use on a different company's site where I do contract work.

Proven a helpful tool for us!

Pros

Keeping clients updated on their status through the app has been incredibly helpful. It really is like having a mobile secretary with me. Every attempt that's made and properly recorded gets added to the Affidavit automatically which is a huge plus.

Cons

At this point I don't have anything I dislike about the software.

Decent software

Pros

Handling GPS and affidavits is much more manageable and having a consolidated client list is really helpful too.

Cons

They keep changing things and it honestly felt better before. At the very least, users should be able to vote on updates before changes are made.

give workflow the boost

Pros

The product is very simple and user friendly and it helps me handle more paperwork than I ever could before Covid-19 aside.

Cons

It doesn't refresh automatically at regular intervals so if you step away and forget to click the update button, you can occasionally miss a job.

We find it easy to use

Pros

Both our team and our clients were up and running with it very easily. When clients fill out the cover sheet information, it automatically carries over into the software which saves us a huge amount of time.

Cons

One annoying issue is that documents uploaded by clients always show up as UC instead of displaying the actual document names.

outstanding software it is!

Pros

ServeManager really lives up to its name. It keeps every serve we handle under control, with all the information stored and laid out clearly from beginning to end for every single job. Once you get past the initial learning curve, it's tough to imagine switching to anything else. Our clients regularly compliment us on how well organized our data is.

Cons

The only real downside is that the learning curve is pretty steep and it can take around 50 to 100 jobs before you really master the system and feel fully confident using all of its features.

Friendly workflow and generous support

Pros

It is very user friendly and helps me stay on track with a daily focus model that delivers strong results for running my business. On top of that the support team is generous and helpful anytime you run into something that needs attention.

Cons

I really haven't had any issues with it. If anything does come up, it gets resolved quickly and the results are still there.

Great interface with helpful visuals

Pros

The software is very user friendly and the illustrations make it quicker and simpler to find what we need.

Cons

Improves our processes

Pros

Having everything in one place really improves the service process. Billing, affidavits and customer updates are all part of a very simple workflow which makes the whole process feel much smoother.

Cons

The customer account setup could use more flexibility. I'd like stronger control over adding and removing customer access, instead of needing the customer to create users for every paralegal or attorney. I'd rather not set things up in a way where someone at the firm has to take on an administrative role just to manage my software especially since some firms have frequent staff turnover and large teams of lawyers, paralegals and admin personnel.
