“time entry is better but reports are a total mess

Pros

Putting in my time got a lot easier and the invoicing works well, once I got the hang of it, . We switched from Timeslips and TimeSolv has been working out just fine for us.

Cons

Getting useful reports is almost impossible. Whenever I run one, the numbers don't add up and no one can properly explain why. For example a single payment split across multiple cases shows up as the full amount for each one which is really confusing. Support hasn't been able to clear it up for me.

Pros

After using the same clunky software for 20 years in my legal research business, a friend told me about TimeSolv. I can't say enough good things. Their team made moving all my data over so smooth. The app is incredibly easy to use and I now spend about a third of the time I used to on invoicing and logging time on my computer or phone is simple. Their support team is also outstanding. I'd highly recommend it !

Cons

I haven't needed to use the trust accounting features yet but I might look into them down the road.

It's very simple, easy to find your way around and the price is right for what you get.

So far I don't have any complaints. Any little problems I've run into like with invoicing were fixed using their help resources or by contacting support.

Starts up fast, is simple to use and looking up client info for billing is easy. It's also packed with handy features.

Cons

It's a bit of a hassle to see what's been billed on a specific case without going through the whole process of creating an invoice. I end up having to create and then delete drafts just to review information which feels inefficient.

After wrestling with TimeSlips for years, switching to this system has been a dream for over five years now. It's so user-friendly (and I'm not a tech person), entering time is simple. I absolutely love this billing program!!!! And it's so affordable!!!! Their customer service is the best.. we really miss our old contact there!!

Cons

We've run into a some SMALL problems like overdue invoices don't get flagged like they did in TimeSlips, the system glitches when you enter multiple email addresses for an invoice, copying a flat fee sometimes resets the price to zero and it's unclear how to set up annual billing for service renewals.

Putting in time and expenses is really smooth. Creating invoices is also simple and you can customize them a lot. All the main functions are just easy to handle.

Cons

Sometimes it's hard to find answers or get issues resolved. It would also be helpful if deleting old cases or clients was a simpler process.

“Bills are super customizable but setup is overwhelming

It gives you more options to customize what your bills look like compared to other similar programs.

Cons

The software has a ton of options I haven't even tried yet. I'm looking forward to customizing it more but all those choices do make the initial setup pretty complicated.

“Onboarding was a easy, just wish there were more templates

Pros

Getting started was completely effortless and their customer service is excellent. Generating invoices went off without a hitch which made the whole switch really smooth.

Cons

Would love to have more templates for form documents like I did with Amicus. Better document customization would make the product much more appealing and save me a lot of time.

I really like putting together invoice drafts, keeping an eye on payments and pulling client reports with this program :)

Not gonna lie I've tried a few different programs and Timesolv is definitely the most simplee and easiest to use.

Some of the management tools are a bit hidden and take time to find and figure out.

The layout is so much better than Timeslips. It's way easier to figure out.

My only small problem is that there aren't enough comprehensive reports to get a full overview of a client or case.

Love how much more organized this software has made our whole company. It helps us catch more billable work which has honestly increased our income.

The client contacts feature still needs work even after I've talked to the tech team about it a few times. Also since it doesn't sync with our QuickBooks Enterprise, I have to manually enter every invoice amount and payment.

Pros

Being able to log my time day-by-day is so much better than other software that makes you do it all at once per client. Their customer service is outstanding and the live chat feature is great.

Cons

Some custom settings only apply to the next billing cycle and if there's no billable work in a period, it won't generate an invoice. I wish there was an option to send one anyway even for a zero balance.

Still not entirely sure how to properly close out a case but the help desk has been good about walking me through it.

I like that it automatically marks items as "No Charge" on the bill when it makes sense.

Pros

The price first drew me to TimeSolv. I really like how the billing statements break down each case into its own section. The customer service has been fantastic at solving our office's issues. The training videos are very helpful and the financial reports are laid out really well.

Cons

Some parts of the software don't quite fit our workflow like handling prepaid time credits on statements. Our office coordinator has had to create a few workarounds. I'd also love to be able to change the font size on invoices.

“cellphone time tracking is great

Pros

Being able to track time, enter it manually and use the app on my phone for client work I can't do on a computer has been a huge help.

Cons

It would be a huge help if the phone app could let us create new tasks not just add time to existing ones.
