“A reliable but increasingly expensive platform
Pros
It is a stable platform that works reliably. Also the system is fairly user friendly, especially once you get past the initial learning phase. I learned it about seven years ago and it has gotten even better since then.
Cons
The price has gone up a lot in the last few years making it very expensive for my solo practice and I think they should offer a cheaper single user license. Plus I rely on the desktop widget and I much preferred the old version over this new one, which feels easier to mess up on.

Switching over from our old, outdated billing software was pretty easy. The interface is also simple to figure out and you get a real person when you need customer support.
Cons
Figuring out how to invoice a retainer was confusing. Linking clients to the payment portal can also be a bit clunky at times.

Tracking time, creating invoices and its compatibility with Counsel Link for uploads are all very simple. The staff support is also excellent.
Cons
Getting started was tough because of some quirks but the team spent a couple of hours helping me get it sorted. Once we got to accept that first invoice, I have used the same template for countless other matters without a single issue. The support was excellent and I have not had any problems since that initial setup over five years ago. As a solo practitioner, I handle everything myself and despite my lack of experience, I found the whole process to be great.

“The most user friendly time tracker
Pros
The platform is user friendly and easy to use. My favorite feature is search time which lets you quickly check how much time you have logged on a case without generating an invoice. Adding time entries is simple too whether you are on the main calendar or inside a specific matter. The customer support is also the best. Like in this age of chatbots, I am surprised a real person always answers the phone and can even share your screen to walk you through a fix. That quick help creates efficiency and stops small issues from becoming big problems. Plus the cost is lower than that of other clunkier time management tools I have used, so it does not feel like you have to pay extra just to cover the software itself.
Cons
I am still not entirely sure how to log time for a flat fee case but that might be my own mistake. I also wish there was a simple way to stop the bill from being emailed to the client automatically. Plus I like the email system but sometimes I prefer to go over the bill with a client in person first, especially if I think they will have questions, rather than having them see it in their inbox. I know I can just remove the email address as a workaround, but it is a minor hassle.

Cons

“time entry is better but reports are a total mess

Putting in my time got a lot easier and the invoicing works well, once I got the hang of it, . We switched from Timeslips and TimeSolv has been working out just fine for us.
Cons
Getting useful reports is almost impossible. Whenever I run one, the numbers don't add up and no one can properly explain why. For example a single payment split across multiple cases shows up as the full amount for each one which is really confusing. Support hasn't been able to clear it up for me.

After using the same clunky software for 20 years in my legal research business, a friend told me about TimeSolv. I can't say enough good things. Their team made moving all my data over so smooth. The app is incredibly easy to use and I now spend about a third of the time I used to on invoicing and logging time on my computer or phone is simple. Their support team is also outstanding. I'd highly recommend it !
Cons
I haven't needed to use the trust accounting features yet but I might look into them down the road.

After wrestling with TimeSlips for years, switching to this system has been a dream for over five years now. It's so user-friendly (and I'm not a tech person), entering time is simple. I absolutely love this billing program!!!! And it's so affordable!!!! Their customer service is the best.. we really miss our old contact there!!

We've run into a some SMALL problems like overdue invoices don't get flagged like they did in TimeSlips, the system glitches when you enter multiple email addresses for an invoice, copying a flat fee sometimes resets the price to zero and it's unclear how to set up annual billing for service renewals.

The price first drew me to TimeSolv. I really like how the billing statements break down each case into its own section. The customer service has been fantastic at solving our office's issues. The training videos are very helpful and the financial reports are laid out really well.
Cons
Some parts of the software don't quite fit our workflow like handling prepaid time credits on statements. Our office coordinator has had to create a few workarounds. I'd also love to be able to change the font size on invoices.

Setting up new clients and cases is pretty simple on average. If I've started work for someone but their case isn't fully set up yet�..... I can just use a placeholder until it is.
Cons
Some of the steps for setting up a new client matter aren't as easy as i would like them to be which leads to mistakes. It would also be helpful if the system could track where the last billing cycle ended since we often close bills at irregular times near the month's end and it's hard to remember where to start.

Cons
TimeSolv's conversion team was fantastic. The only tricky part was that we were only transferring some of our data from Tabs3 which meant we had to manually enter the rest. It was a bit of a one-time hassle but it's totally worth it for all the benefits we get from TimeSolv now.
