Incredibly easy to get started

Pros

It is incredibly easy to get the hang of. Plus having my Outlook emails linked for tracking time and the ability to send bills with a direct payment link means our clients pay us much faster.

Cons

The system won't let us assign a single payment to multiple revenue categories and we cannot split a payment across different practice areas which is a real limitation for our accounting.

So easy and saves time

Pros

ZenCase is so easy to use and it honestly saves me a lot of time every single day

Cons

Our main issue is that you can only link a single bank account for both Trust and Operating purposes.

Super easy to use

Pros

I find this software to be incredibly easy to use! It serves as a fantastic tool for efficiently managing various aspects of my work, particularly when it comes to handling my time, expenses, and invoicing.

Cons

We don't currently have an integrated document management system, and I believe it would be really helpful for me!

Zencase is a top-rated software

Pros

Transitioning from a legacy system that had been in use for over 25 years to Zencase was seamless. All the information I needed was readily available from the start.

Cons

For our workflow, we could definitely use more accounts when it comes to integrating with QBO.

What's my experience with ZenCase?

Pros

I appreciate how simple it is to look up matter numbers and enter time for each matter. The reporting functions are also quite simple and assistive for tracking goals.

Cons

The layout is a bit different from what I'm used to, but I'm gradually getting the hang of it. I know there were some challenges when we switched from our previous time-entry system to ZenCase, but I was not directly involved in that process.

Fairly good but not the best

Pros

Zencase provides a convenient and contemporary method for inputting time. The standout feature for me is the ability to log time without needing to connect to a remote server.

Cons

I really wish there was a way to pre-set frequently used features for time entries, especially to make matters default as billable. That would be an awesome feature!

My favv is the billing feature....

Pros

I really like the billing aspect of this software since it is incredibly simple to use and makes tracking my time simple.

Cons

There's no dedicated place to track upcoming deadlines or set reminders, which I find lacking.

ZenCase is beneficial for our company

Pros

This software has been a tremendous benefit to our company! It has saved us time and has been very easy for me to learn and use. Also, the customer service has surpassed anything we have experienced before!

Cons

Everything we've requested to be enhanced has either been upgraded or is already in the pipeline.

Love ZenCase

Pros

As the Billing Manager, the simplicity of billing is refreshing. I can create prebills using specific filters such as Matter Manager, billing type, matter type, and more. I no longer need to print prebills; I can create them, and the Managing Attorney can review them directly within Zencase, making necessary changes and approving them. When it's time to finalize invoices, all the expense backups attach in one click. That is fantastic! Zencase has saved me hours searching for and attaching expense documents to my bills, allowing invoices to go out faster and money to come in quicker. This has greatly improved our cash flow.

Cons

I don't have any negative feedback for this software. It has made the monthly billing process so much smoother, quicker, and overall more effective. If any issues come up, customer support is just a chat away and they respond almost instantly.

A+ customer support...

Pros

ZenCase is quite easy to use. Customer Service gets an A+, everything I need is right at my fingertips. The search and filtering capabilities are excellent. The billing and invoicing features in ZenCase have significantly aided our firm. The best part is that expense backups and receipts are directly attached to our firm's invoices, eliminating the need to search for documents, which can be very time-consuming. ZenCase has truly improved time management in our billing department.

Cons

Nothing. On the rare occasions when we run into problems, support is incredibly quick to address and resolve them.

Using it for over two decades...!!!

Pros

I appreciate all the features that keep my files organized, helping me stay on top of deadlines. It is extremely easy to use and integrates well with Netdocs. When the merging functions correctly, it becomes incredibly useful for drafting documents.

Cons

We've encountered too many issues with merging documents. Once that gets fixed, this would be a perfect solution!

Has great features

Pros

The features of ZenCase are transformative. This product significantly surpasses any other case management tool I have encountered in my career as a Paralegal. Once I understood its capabilities, I found the ease of use to be remarkable.

Cons

Nothing really stands out as a problem at the moment since any issues I've faced have been resolved within the year I've been using this product. They're always working on making updates and enhancing the experience.

ZenCase is a comprehensive software

Pros

What I love most about ZenCase is that it serves as a comprehensive solution. It's practical, visually appealing, and packed with functional features.

Cons

I'd like to have the ability to create custom subject tabs within the Memo tab rather than just relying on the preset ones.

User-Friendly

Pros

This software is highly customizable and simple to use. My favorite feature is the task management with filters and the option to save searches, plus the ability to make quick notes in each task for easy reference.

Cons

The document merge feature tends to glitch sometimes, but when it works, it's genuinely impressive.

Enjoy using it

Pros

ZenCase is remarkably simple to use, making it accessible for everyone on our team. Also, it integrates seamlessly with the other software we utilize throughout our firm, which streamlines our workflows and enhances collaboration.

Cons

No cons. Everything has been great! Occasionally, it runs a bit slow, but I think that's probably due to the amount of usage across our firm.

Works well, however room for improvement is there

Pros

The integration with Net Documents is absolutely seamless, making it easy for me to access a list of cases whenever I need to.

Cons

Starting the timer without having to fill out the timecard first would be helpful, especially for phone calls. Also, I can't add tasks directly from Outlook for minor things or reminders, so I end up using red flags in Outlook instead. It would be ideal to drag and drop an email from Outlook straight into tasks. The new email window is not useful either, since emails don't get assigned to cases automatically after they've been added in NetDocuments. I have to assign emails twice, once in Outlook using the ND module and again in Zen. Assigning events in Zen is not possible either because I can't invite assignees, so I rely on Outlook for my calendar instead. The task list in Zen doesn't default to my own tasks, so I always have to apply a filter. I'd like to change due dates from the task list itself without opening the tasks, and there should be an option to create a time entry for every task, event, or email. Having a to-do list would also be a nice addition.

Keeps me organized

Pros

I really value the case management feature, especially how it organizes task lists by date. This functionality makes it so much easier for me to stay on top of my responsibilities, as I can clearly see what needs to be done and when.

Cons

Has its pros and cons

Pros

It's easy to use, has excellent task management, and allows for easy filtering and sorting.

Cons

Simple to use but a bit on the expensive side

Pros

Entering billing time and opening new files is incredibly simple with this software. The process is so streamlined that I can quickly log my time without any confusion, and starting a new file takes just a few steps.

Cons

There's no section dedicated to records requests or management, which feels like a missing feature.
